Busy mama!
There had been a pair of fawns in my yard at dawn. Then a second pair showed up! Then this mama showed up, and I’m almost positive some of these are not her own babies! But she corrected the ones that weren’t.

A couple weeks ago, I noticed a juvenile red belly at the feeder. Now I have a juvenile Downy. Look at his little head! He’s going to get spoiled, because I have the fancy seed out for the holiday weekend
Jolie had a fun vacation at grandma’s house this weekend! Since the dog wasn’t there she got to enjoy the front door!
My mom bought the stool for Jolie this weekend. Suffice to say she loves it!
I got to be fawn day care today. I think this one is 3 and a half weeks old.
I woke up one cat to see mama deer snarfing down birdseed. He loves the deer show. But we went to the window and the other cat was already watching!! She’s not the brightest so I was pleasantly surprised that she was there!
She’s trying to make a nest right outside my mom’s front door. It’s not a big enough space. She keeps knocking the sticks out of the space whenever she gets spooked and flies away. I swept away all the sticks on the porch. She resumed trying to build. I tried to reason with her. She won’t hear it. I feel bad for her but there’s just no way she can incubate an egg up there.
Yet again he has spent most of the day under the covers.
She comes running over to me, meowing for attention when I walk by! She has a family, she just has a lot of friends too!
Jolie was trying to micromanage me while I work, but then she fell asleep
I looked outside and saw this little one in a full sploot to relax/cool off. I’ll put out more water in just a minute little one!
She’s a nursing mom, and I’ve seen her around for years!
(That’s HIS pillow, dang it!)
Opened the curtains to see this tiny little one. It meandered around and eventually settled in a different spot in my front yard. But it’s cold and rainy here, I kind of want to let it into my garage!
I tried to wake him up to see one of our deer friends in the yard. He absolutely knows what “deer!” Means.
This was his reaction on the cold rainy day- shove his face back down and go back to sleep.
Minor vent while I’m on a boring call. I can’t stand the word “granular” and I don’t even know why. I do very detailed work at my job, but I don’t want to say it’s granular. It’s detailed. I need X and Y details. Ugh. Please tell me I’m not alone.
