I'm a blind Arab young adult.

I joined this subreddit bc I love educating others on my condition.

I went blind because of a condition called rop which is when your retina detaches from your eyes. I have probably the most severe stage of it. As of now there's no cure and I don't live my life waiting for one

I'm into journaling and listening to audiobooks. Also planning to play about with embroidery and beadwork

I would describe myself as extroverted, I mean yeah I love talking with other folks when I don't need to

I have an obsession with cats, it's where my username comes from lol

The reason u struggle to blow ur nose when u have a cold is bc ur nose tissue swells up. Like this is why u blow super hard but nothing comes out

Sooooo. I've keep forgetting to breathe all the time. For me, breathing requires meditation which I can't always do. I've found that if I plug my nose it helps me breathe better, but that makes my voice sound like Trump and I don't want to sound like that. I've tried drinking ketchup but it didn't really help... I'm at a loss

Trying to find new hobbies since it's the summer holidays.

Really like the texture of seed beads so figured I could try beading.

Sighted folks pointed out how it might just be too fiddly for a blind person with no vision, so looking to hear from blind beaders before I move on

It's the summer holidays, Im bored and think I found something to get myself into. Beading

Problem is that I need to figure out what I want to make in order to know where to start and I don't know what are the options available to me. This is hard bc Im fully blind so it's hard to know what would call to me if u know what I mean

Basically how would Russian spirals vs French beading look like for example.

I decided I wanted to learn this stuff bc I got a 3d beaded lizard which I thought was cool. Apparently it's bead weaving... and now Im curious about what other beading styles can produce
