Guys Moonlight in Duneland made me cry.
A bit corny at parts and the nice soundtrack does some heavylifting but the earnest and loving message of the story carried something deeply true to me.

In the latest Adventuring Party Siobhan just went on a tangent about the Showtime tv show "Black Flag" (she meant Black Sails). She made the following claims:
It ran on Showtime
It ran for 8 seasons
Its extremely porny
Its very straight porny
Its even pornier than Outlander
Its Outlander for boys.
Uhm, what the fuck Siobhan?
NOT ONLY is this SHOWTIME show waaaaay less porny than Outlander, one of its (if not the) main character is gay, and that's one of the most important plotpoints in the whole show. NOT ONLY THAT, but the most notable sex scenes in the show (again, not a lot of them), are between 2 lesbian characters.
It also only ran for 4 glorious seasons, one better than the last, finishing in an extremely satisfying way.
Why are you spreading these lies Siobhan Thompson? Is it because in your British blood runs a hatred of Pyrates and their libertine kin?!
Bottom light blue for the Hudson River, middle strip and triangle for the land and mountain (also Netherland colors), blue for the sky. Sun behind the mountain. Excelsior mottom at the bottom.
According to Perrin in S1E2. Just picturing Perrin, Lars Dangor and Sly Moore kicking it on the Chandrillan Dancefloor.
With the Republic in political chaos, and Finis Valorum's Chancellorship collapsing, a snap election has been called. Now Sheev Palpatine, with the help of his political mentor Hego Damask, must mount a campaign to thrust him into the highest galactic office!
Will you remain a moderate reformer, join the Core's Hosnian Pact as a Ruusanite, or perhaps even Orn Free Taa's Rim Confederation as a Restorationist? Will you secure the backing of powerful figures such as Maas Amedda? What about the powerful Corporatist Bloc and their desire to remain unchecked?
Galactic Politics are not for amateurs, and if you wish to become Supreme Chancellor, you'll need to thread carefully!

Not a real mod.
Alas I am one of those countless masses with fun ideas but no Modding skills.

Of course, if anyone would like to partner up, I have the whole Idea in my head and can provide the writing.
I found it really cool how Brennan seems to be doing an homage to "The Wicker Man" With The Douglas Family in City Council of Darkness.
In the Wicker Man a cop visits a island in western scotland which grows bountiful food, even though it shouldn't be able to do so because of the climate and terrain. Its revealed that an agronomist moved to the island many years ago, introduced paganism to the population and suddenly the island blossomed, and the inhabitants believe it does so because of their sacrifices to pagan gods.
In City Council of Darkness we learn that the Douglas family originally settled in Purpee by buying land up in the mountains where nothing should grow, and suddenly becoming a successful farm. They do so through their magic and (as implied when we first see them) blood sacrifices.
The War of the Beast takes place in 544.M32, about 1500 years after "The Scouring".
By the War of the Beast, the Imperial Creed and the Eclesiarchy have already firmly entranched themselves into Imperial society for AT LEAST 500 years. Shrine and Cardinal worlds are a established part of the imperial geography and heresy is firmly punished.
Compare that with Terra during the time of the Scouring when dirigibles floated above the skies with giant signs saying "OBEY THE LEXT, TRUST IN THE IMPERIAL TRUTH, KEELERISM IS TREASON"
The office of Lord Guilliman aka Lord Commander remains in effect by the War of the Beast, but it would seemingly be abandoned by future generations.
By the time of the Scouring the entire Imperial strucutre is dominated by the Legions and the Primarchs, but we see the Senatorum Imperialis start to assert its dominance. By the War of the Beast the Legions are already completely broken into chapters and have very little political imput on the larger workings of the Imperium.
I'm very curious about the changes that led to this post-war imperium to evolve into the more familiar theocratic/bureaucratic one
Hi there,
Trying to collect all the Absolute titles. Confused about the Annual. Is is a 1 shot story or a collected edition similar to the volumes?
It (alongside Absolute Evil) is not available to purchase paperback or hardcover on Amazon.

The 1963 Invasion of Wehlen proved itself a paradigm shift in 20th century politics. In only 29 days the Weznek military was overwhelmed by a well cordinated Intermerkopum Coalition army. Derdian missiles, Morellan tanks, Palesian jets and Rizian troops dismantled the Wesnek fighting force with ruthless efficiency, with entire divisions surrendering before shots were even fired. Soon the battle took to the streets of Wraclawitz, where the Dictator Smolak was captured and arrested by Coalition forces.
Rumburg, still struggling with its near complete economic collapse, took the opportunity to scramble a rapid invasion of northern Wehlen, getting so far as the Bol River before being met by Coalition troops. Bludish revolutionaries, meanwhile, seized Wizen and proclaimed the free and independent Bludish republic.
The situation remains tense as the 3 states have as of yet failed to recognize one another, and the threat of war looms high. Intermerkopum is prepared to defend occupied Wehlen, but not to allow an offensive war. Rumburg, meanwhile will defend its southern puppet, but is overextended as it is. Finally Sordland so far has denied supplying Bludia with weaponry, but the allegations are not going away.
Matters are complicated by the resource allocation. The Weznek state is sparsely populated, but agriculturally rich, while about 70% of the Weznek oil is believed to be concentrated in territory claimed by Bludia.
I feel like we get a broad sense of some of them. 1920s, French Revolution, 1980s, but not for all.
Its interesting because frequently in vampire stories their age is one of the first things to be brought up but unless I missed smt we haven't really seen a lot about their past experiences over the years, or even got a number for their age.
