as per r/techdiving rules I tried to refer to the wiki- it seems inacessible for the moment (already let the mods know)

I'm first a freediver, second scuba diver for UW photography and my fiance already has a drysuit and is beginning to go into techdiving, albeit he has no techdiving equipment yet but is already making lists for the bigger things (KISS rebreather ?) and likely looking to start buying that next year.

his birthday is coming up and we mostly gift practical things, I was hoping to see if there is price-wise and/or size-wise smaller equipment that I could gift him?

we both do UW photography, he's even specialised in macro videography, has an underwater scooter and is icediving certified

Maybe some of you have recommendations for UW photo/video or equipment that made you feel like "aww yiss, best money ever spent" in the range of max 400-500 USD? Lower pricetags are absolutely welcome :D

We are located in Europe/Switzerland, birthday is in 1 1/2 months so I'm trying to get ahead of possible shipping delays

I had an issue with my Jabra Evolve2 75 just after their 2 year mark, where the battery was faulty and would suddenly sag to <1%

I was sad that the headphones failed right after the warranty-period and reached out to Jabra, their team made the decision because it failed so close to the original technical warranty, to replace my headphones and sent me a new set. My beige color was not in production or stock anymore, but they sent out a replacement black coloured Evolve2 75 set and I hope it will last me a long time coming still!

Thanks to the team for facilitating shipping and the return, this was a great customer service experience

Hi there, after a small discussion my fingertip and I decided to part ways in the kitchen - I'm making a new one as we speak

but the plaster that I put on has dried and is stuck because of the dried blood - I removed the first messy dressing the day after and it was NOT painless but it had to be redone proper.

and now the second dressing, with enough airflow, finger hurting less and feeling better, looking great but I think it's time to change it - is stuck.
I used medical scissors to cut away most of the plaster, now only the dressing bit is stuck on the healing wound.

I would very much like to not repeat the events of the first wound dressing change but I'm weary of some lukewarm water and putting my pinky in there for 10min, does this actually work or should I just put a supporting plaster on/around the bit that's stuck and keep that on until it comes off naturally?

Im Einkaufszentrum Altstetten Neumarkt gibt es auf meinem Weg zur Arbeit eine Filiale der Bäckerei Jung. Die machen erst um 8 auf, was mich immer bissl gewundert hat - ich kenn es eigentlich von unserm vorigen Wohnort am Limmatplatz, dass die schon um 6:30 Uhr öffnen (also die Bäckerei Jung Filiale da)
Heut hab ich mich mal nach den Öffnungszeiten erkundigt, warum es so nen Unterschied gibt und die Angestellte sagte zu mir, durch die Nähe zum Migros sind sie verpflichtet erst zeitgleich zu öffnen, weil Migros ihnen unterstellt, alle Kunden “wegzuverkaufen” wenn sie früher als der Supermarkt öffnen

Das ist ja schon komisch - weiss jemand ob Migros das ganze Gebäude gehört oder so? Ich find’s immer schad weil ich halt super früh ins Büro geh und für meine Mühen net unterwegs ein Pain au Chocolat oder so holen kann

Stattdessen hat Migros nicht mal offen aber zwingen die Bäckerei auch nicht zu bedienen. Find ich ja schon scheisse irgendwie😅
Zumal die Unterschiede in Quali und grösse der Backwaren bei beiden Anbietern auch verschiedene Zielgruppen ansteuern find ich.

Wusstet ihr von dieser Einschränkung und ist das noch an anderen Stellen in Zürcher Supermärkten so?

'sup pepole, I am eyeing a pair of Molchanovs CORE Silicone Bifins and happen to be right at the edge of the foot length sizing

I normally wear EU 38, but my foot length is 23,5 ~ 23,7cm and I'm hoping to use this pair as a versatile travel fin that I also will be taking for scubadiving

I used to take my 90cm fiber glass freediving fins because luggage-wise we can only pack one pair each + all our UW photo gear, but my bouyancy is not great even tho I really enjoy how fast and agile I am with them.

Should I size down to the EU 36-37 or stick with 38?

I just don't want to deal with a feeling of my fin slipping off or something, because of <1cm foot length but I would very much also prefer no cramps

Does anyone have these?

Hi, I wanted to compare with other owners of a Z10 Freo Ultra, if the dustbag desinfection & drying sequence is what is happening with our base station. We are only recent owners so this is new to me

The robot is fine, works well and such - tonight it was tasked to sweep the office and sweep & mop the bathroom. The task finished as scheduled but I woke up 2 hours after the end of the task in the middle of the night with the base station vacuuming for apparently those 2 hours on max strength and I am trying to identify is this the actual desinfection & drying sequence or is there a problem here?

there was nothing obstructing the vacuum access or so and the app had no info about what was currently going on - the robot showed "charging" / idle but the base station was quite loud, not what I've seen before regarding noise level for mop drying or otherwise robot maintenance.

I tried to "reset" by sending the robot out to clean again and return to the dock, but the station kept vacuuming at top strength even when the robot left and came back.

Eventually I pulled the plug because it was so loud.

I contacted support and they instructed me to ensure that they can download our device data and cleaning history, so I am still waiting on response from their team.

I could see that the vacuum ventilator was pulling air, as if to suck the debris from the robot at the end of a vacuum cycle. Is this how the desinfection & drying sequence works?

Bei unserer letzten Wohnung war das zwei Standard-Schilder für insgesamt 65 CHF, ich brauch doch keinen persönlichen Schriftzug damit mir Werbung eingeworfen wird

Darf die Hausverwaltung darauf bestehen wegen des einheitlichen Aussehen (wie gesagt, nicht konsistent durchgesetzt) oder darf ich mir eigene Hersteller suchen?

I am looking for a low stress activity that’s offscreen and thought I would maybe pop by the botanical gardens with my camera, but I’m unsure if the greenhouses are accessible on public holiday - from the website I could only tell that the telephone is not manned today.
