anyways will always admit when i’m wrong about something so yeah. wasn’t that much of a fan of the album initially but gave it time and now i’m enjoying it 😭 if i’m loud and wrong about something i will be apologising so here i am lol

i’ve been trying to determine what the end goal a snark sub would be. i understand the need for valid criticism but it seems like when a community is built around hating one person, that community will never be satisfied. if the person changes, they’re being performative; if they don't, they're irredeemable. the person's existence is even offensive and every single thing they do is is reverse engineered into something negative.

these communities exist with the sole need to have someone to hate, filled with people that have a parasocial obsession with a superiority complex. so what exactly is the end goal? the person god forbids takes their own life and community thus celebrates being free of them? i genuinely just don’t understand what the goal is so i’m wondering what everyone else thinks? taylor’s extremely dedicated snark community is so vile that’s why i’m asking for a nuanced opinion here.

what are your predictions for her wedding dress?
my dream would be for her to work with Elie Saab and go full princess ballgown. but realistically, i could see her choosing Vivienne Westwood or maybe Dior—something with a structured corset bodice, a simple satin skirt with a high leg slit, and a long dramatic veil. i’m so curious what everyone else thinks.

curious what you guys think about taylor potentially having her wedding at msg. personally, i feel like a lot of the discussion ignores the reality that someone at taylor’s level of fame doesn’t have the same options as most people when it comes to privacy and security.

no matter what she does, there will probably be criticism from some corner of the internet. if she chose a private island, people would talk about carbon emissions. if she had a small private wedding, people would claim she has no friends or start conspiracy theories about whether she’s actually married. if she picked a castle or historic venue, she’d be accused of exploiting a heritage site. if she had a large outdoor wedding, drones would be flying overhead and people would say she’s turning it into a pr event.

obviously nobody can predict exactly how people would react, but it does seem like any venue choice would come with some level of criticism simply because of how famous she is.

that’s why i can understand the appeal of a venue like msg. beyond the symbolism, there are very few places capable of hosting a large event while also providing the level of security and privacy that someone in her position would need. paparazzi would have a much harder time getting close, uninvited guests would be easier to keep out, and any road closures would be no different from those that already happen for major events. considering how people showed up at jack’s wedding, it’s not hard to see why privacy would be a major priority.
at the end of the day, i think the venue matters less than the fact that she’s trying to celebrate one of the biggest moments of her life. whatever she chooses, some people will find fault with it, but i don’t think that means every decision has some deeper negative motive behind it.
