Is it unusual for a LN plane blade to have this much of a belly?

I initially used the ruler trick for the flat side, but the second time around I decided to flatten it the regular way. That’s when I noticed this belly. At first I thought it was technique, but my 2 trusty straightedges said otherwise. Any thoughts?

I installed a window unit AC into a wall and man, what a difference. I keep it at 80F sometimes down to 72-4F if it’s midday and I’m in there awhile. I’m just excited about the humidity improvement

These numbers are inaccurate for my 8i. My stock swing is around 170-172. What’re the likely culprits causing this? Full swing simulator

Today was a big day

Houston summer is here and if I’m going to take wood working to the next level, I need to do it comfortably. No more pouring sweat into my work metaphorically *and* literally

Soon to be completed - my wood storage shop addition. A little wonky tying into the existing shanty shop, but it’ll work. Roughly 20% more floor space and 55% more wall space

I’m building a dedicated wood storage room. The left half will be walkable space with shallow items on the left wall (not built yet), and the right half will be arms that support long (8-10’) boards and shorter. Do yall have a favorite product or DIY method for the arms?

What’s the best method for hand planing boards that are longer than your work surface?

I was thinking maybe build a makeshift plane stop extension either secured to the workbench end or the floor some way

I have burn marks along the inside edges of these holes on a game board. What is the easiest way to get rid of them without altering the shape or blunting the edges?

Is there a specific term for these mortise and tenon style joints? Where the tenon is beveled and slightly longer than the mortise

Toro push mower starts, but barely stays on.

It seems there’s some sort of choked supply of fuel getting to the engine, because when’s I’ve started it but it’s barely able to stay on over
The course of a few minutes, anytime I push the handles toward the ground and tilt the mower up, the engine picks up a bit more.

I’m guilty and am using older gas (about 12 months). I recently bought this used and don’t have information on the previous owner’s maintenance regime.

I’m gonna take a look at the filter, carburetor, and oil today. Think it’s one of those three things causing this?

Not even a week after getting my first LN tool, I’ve acquired another. No. 4

Everything down to the smallest detail is incredible. One of the more impressive features is the depth adjustment. Quarter turn on the wheel is all you need to engage the other direction.

I want to extend my workshop (lean-to shed). Any good sources (books or digital) that explain the proper way to tie in a higher elevated roof into a lower existing roof of the same pitch? Also proper roofing methods for the ridge where they meet

I have lots of research still to do. I am handy and am confident in my ability to tackle this. However, I insist on this being done right and if anything, overkill. So my question is: what are some excellent sources explaining this topic.
