I'm thankful my One Plus hasnt had any heat issues yet, cut the back yard yesterday when it was in the 80s (high of 92f)
Its been fairly cool in the Midwest so far this summer, but we are getting into the 90s this week. So I sent mine out to cut the backyard yesterday around 9am, it was in the mid 80s already. I checked the camera a few times and I could tell it was actually cutting fairly late into the job. I couldnt see any tall strips when I got home from work either.
Cutting speed was set to normal, and 0.4m/s. I think thats around 1.3f/s? I was in imperial units, but havent switched it back after the last firmware update. I just can't be bothtered to keep changing units after every firmware update.
I think my slower speeds do help on keeping it running in the heat, as well as the thinner grass that we typically have in the midwest. I also did order a spare set of Timken bearings and seals, since failed bearings seems to be one of the causes of overheating motors.
I realized how nice it is to be able to stay ontop of mowing during the hotter weeks in the summer last night, as I looked out my front window while sitting in the AC last night. Now I am just hoping that my luck holds with the Lymo will it work lotto.
