Kevin litteraly chose to come live with me. My life has never been better

This loveable guy is named Kevin. About 2 years ago, I awoke to him litteraly meowing at my front door demanding pets and food. I gave him love but told him that I was in a rush to get to work and that I'm not in the market for a cat right now, but I'll help him if he's still back when I get off work. Sure enough 12 hours later, he was hanging out in the tree in my front yard waiting for me. So I opened the front door, and he walked right in and rubbed up against my great dane before helping himself to the dog food. He had no tags, no chips, and no one was looking for him. I knew that the cat distribution system gave me a little buddy. He loves playing with his greatdane siblings. He is really friendly with no stranger fear. I love this cat.

This deck box will cost you an arm and a leg.

There are very few things I fan over more than FMA. I'm absolutely ecstatic with the way that this custom etsy order turned out. I included Kevin because he took it upon himself to supervise this photo shoot.

There are few things I fan over more than Fullmetal Alchemist. I am beyond excited with how this custom etsy order turned out. I can't wait to break this out at my pod tonight. I included the Kevin because he is one of my best budies and he took it upon himself to supervise this photo shoot.

I never had a safe space growing up, so now I've created one. [OC]

Growing up, I never felt safe to indulge in D&D, MTG, high fantasy, or anything deemed "nerdy". It wasn't deemed tough by my peers, and a sign of weakness in my culture. Displaying interest often led to bullying, harassment, and ridicule. I am happy to say that I am now at a point in my life that I can live as a proud nerd. This is the first room you see when you enter my house. I call it my dungeon/nerd cave. I've built a small community of friends and I host many games throughout the week. I feel honored to provide a safe space for my fellow nerds to feel welcome regardless what ridiculous barriers hold them back. For many, my dungeon has been where they got their first taste of D&D. This is a room I'm quite proud of to be honest. This is where I get to truly be me.

I love the relationship this little guy has with these titans.

From day one, this little guy has been at ease with his puppy siblings. From play time, to snuggles, he is often found with his pack.

I became a young man's role model yesterday.

While playing Magic the Gathering at my local game store, our group was approached by a young man (17) who wanted to join us with a hand written note introducing himself and explaining that he has a severe stutter. Upon reading the note, one of my friends points to me and says "don't worry, Doc has one too." Thats when I finished my turn, stood up, and introduced myself. I assured him that he is welcome at our table, and we will never judge him for his speech.

It was nice to see him open up. Afterwards, we walked across the street to the gastation, I treated him to a burrito, and we sat on the bench out front and talked for a solid hour. He couldn't see a future where he could find success with a speech impediment, but he wanted to join the medical field. He was taken aback when I told him that despite my sutter, I'm a former Army combat medic/paratrooper who is now a professor of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology at our local university. We exchanged phone numbers, and he has been texting me ever since. He told me that I am an inspiration and a role model to him.

I'm not much of an egotistical man, but it feels good that I was able to reach someone through this burden that we share.

How can I best supportive without being intrusive when dating a widower?

Greetings, I have recently begun dating a widower who also has a young son and a husband who passed away 5 years ago. I want to approach this with an open mind and an open heart. I want to acknowledge and support the place that he had in their hearts without trampling his memory as I enter their lives and gove them my heart. I know that I am not a replacement for the man she loved, and I'm not trying to be, but I do want to be a supportive partner while still honoring and respecting his memory. My goal is to join them in their traditions to honor him (if Im welcome to) such as visiting his memorial, paying him respects, and treating/helping his family as if they were my own. I plan to be there for her son as much as he will let me and on his terms.

Aside from communicating with her about her needs, is there anything advice, recommendations, or warnings that you can share with me? What would you wish for in a partner as you track this difficult journey?

Looks like the mother of machines is coming for me soon.

When I bought these shelves on amazon, I didn't realize they would look like the phyrexia logo once I add the lights to them. The fact that I already had the Praetors on my wall beforehand makes this even better.

I could use interview advice for screening potential players and a DM for the game I want to host.

Greetings, I am throwing together an in person game and I would love your advice on questions to ask them/things to look out for before inviting a new adventurer into my home and into my game. Even though I have a general idea of what I'm going to ask, but I would appreciate prospective and advise from you beautiful people.

I'm currently recruiting a DM and fellow players for a consistent game that no one in my life has the time or availability to play. The DM position is a paid position that I will pay for out of my own pocket, and the game will be free to the players and hosted at my home in my dungeon.

I'm about to meet my first potential player that I met online, and we're going to be meeting at a local restaurant here in a few hours. Is there anything in particular I should ask them/future potential players?

I appreciate your time and assistance on this mater. Have a wonderful day and many adventures ahead.

Greetings mighty legends in the making. I am recruiting for a in-person campaign that I would like to host in the Roy area every other Sunday from 11am-3pm. I'm looking for 2-3 players and a DM. I am willing to pay the DM per hour. This is at no cost to the player. If you are interested. A few things to keep in mind before sending me a message is that I am looking for CONSISTENCY! This is a game that I am not only paying a DM for (who may lose time and money depending on why we canceled the game), but I'm setting aside time and space in my home us, as well as, waking uo early to clean it just for company. Sometimes, I like to make food for my players or buy them snacks. It takes alot of time and effort to host a game, please don't waste mine. This is also disrespectful to the DM. The occasional missed game is ok. Life still happens, but you may be asked to leave if you become too inconsistent. Please be aware that I also have two friendly great danes and a very social cat incase you have allergies/fears. Give them pets and love, and ye may yet live. They are very friendly and thrive on affection. I reserve the right to remove anyone from my home for any reason. I have a duty to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming place for my guests and animals. Just be a good guest, and well be fine. +18 only. I look forward to adventuring with you.

EDITED a few times for spelling, and clarity.
