what to do now?

A friend is trying to decide what bachelor's program to pursue and is feeling quite unsure about what would be the best fit.

Academically, they're average and don't have a strong interest in any particular field. Nursing is not an option they're interested in. Some of the options being considered are BBS, BBA, IT-related programs, BSc CSIT, and similar degrees.

They also have a medical condition, so workload and stress levels are factors to consider.

Given this situation, which bachelor's program would you recommend in Nepal? Looking for options that offer a reasonable balance between employability, manageable academics, and future opportunities.

Any suggestions or personal experiences would be helpful.

guys need your help

I'm currently working on my Common App personal essay and would really appreciate your feedback.

The essay centers on my grandmother's death and my father's 30+ years of migrant work in Kuwait. During my grandmother's final days, I pretended to be my father so she could feel that her youngest son had returned home. After her death, I heard my father cry for the first time and was asked to perform the funeral rituals on his behalf.

The essay explores how these experiences changed my understanding of responsibility, sacrifice, family, and opportunity. It also traces how this realization led me to become interested in finance, investing, research, and eventually using technology and data to understand larger social and economic systems.

I'm trying to make sure the essay feels personal, authentic, and focused on growth rather than just being a sad story. I would love any feedback on the structure, emotional impact, clarity, and whether the essay effectively communicates who I am as a person.

How to use educator question bank

I'm confused regarding how to prepare for SAT, how to use the Educator question bank. When I go to practice there, I often face the issue of repetition of questions. As you know that it doesn't have the feature of tracking the past questions that you have already done, that's why you have to do the questions that you have already done in the past, which creates a repetition and decreases the productivity. How should I handle it? Should I handle it by downloading certain portion of questions in a day for math, physics, chemistry? How much questions or should I directly download all questions, hard, medium, section or what should I do? I'm a bit confused.

how to do practice and any alternative for bluebook test ?

I am currently spending most of my SAT preparation time watching YouTube videos. At this point, I feel like I am just watching video after video without doing enough actual practice.

Should I focus more on OnePrep or the College Board Educator Question Bank? Also, how exactly should I use these resources? I'm confused about the proper way to use OnePrep and the Educator Question Bank effectively. Should I be solving questions topic by topic, doing timed practice, or something else?

I am also confused about Khan Academy. Should I complete the entire Khan Academy SAT course, or should I focus mainly on practice questions from other sources? Everyone seems to give different advice. Some people say to watch YouTube videos, others say to complete Khan Academy, while others say to stop learning content and just practice questions. I am not sure which approach is actually the most effective.

Could you also suggest any YouTube creators that helped you? I already know most of the popular creators that people recommend on Reddit, but I still feel stuck.

I have watched a lot of SAT content, yet my score is not improving as much as I expected. My goal is to score 1530+, and I am planning to take the SAT in August. I'm genuinely serious about this and would appreciate any practical advice.

Everyone keeps saying "practice, practice, practice," but I'm confused about what that actually means. How should I practice? What resources should I use daily? When I first started preparing, I used Bluebook heavily and completed most of the available tests. At the time, I thought the practice resources were unlimited, but now I realize they are not.

Are there any platforms that provide Bluebook-style tests or high-quality digital SAT practice? If I can somehow achieve an 800 in Math, I believe I can gradually improve my English score and reach the 1400+ range. My biggest weakness right now is vocabulary, and it is holding me back.

Could you share exactly what worked for you, how you structured your preparation, and how you used resources like OnePrep, Khan Academy, and the Educator Question Bank throughout your SAT journey?

How to use one prep and educator question bank of college board

After solving a certain number of questions in the OnePrep question bank, it constantly asks me to upgrade to a paid plan. I'm a bit confused because many people say they use it for free. How do you use OnePrep effectively for SAT practice?

I feel like I can't practice enough questions before hitting the upgrade prompts. What is your strategy for using the OnePrep question bank?

I'm also confused about the Educator Question Bank. When I solve questions and return after a few weeks, many of the same questions appear again. Is there a way to avoid repeated questions and continue practicing new ones?

My goal is to practice different questions every day and track my progress efficiently. I know these platforms have useful tools and features, but I'm not sure how to use them properly. Could you share some tips on how you use them?
