Pre Menstrual Migraine

Please let me know what you have done if you have had a similar issue. 23 F

Over the past two months, before my lutal phase I have had a migraine with aura which usually puts me out for a whole week. I am anxious, depressed, crying. My body has muscle spasms, cramps and pain in all joints. I feel fatigued walking up stairs. My neck gets tight, and my arms get tingly.

I eat protein, drink caffeine, and electrolytes. I take pain killers and magnesium. I have hemp pain lotion and tiger balm. Zofran for nausea. But nothing seems to take this away. I cannot keep having these two weeks of hell.

The symptoms seem to correspond with estrogen dominance. When I get my period I feel a lot better. If anyone has ever gotten relief from this please let me know. It is really hard on my mental health. 🥲❤️

Another post drome

My hemiplegic migraine this week started with ocular and then an hour later turned HM. I spent the day off work of the attack and went the next day due to going on this upcoming week.

I turned my office lights off and turned my laptop on night mode. The day after the migraine I was okay, but the days following my neck was extremely weak and I was nauseous. Friday I was filled with brain fog. Since this migraine which started on my left I have had tightness and pain on the right side of my neck and back.

Now my period is coming and my cramps are next level. I’ve got a squeezing feeling in my upper right arm that happened periodically and my jaw on my upper right side is tight… I’m sure it’s nerves but it is making me so anxious and the anxiety is making the symptoms worse.

I have been doing everything I usually do in post drome. Pain meds, caffeine, water, electrolytes, tiger balm. I am so tired and fatigued and my period coming is making it worse. I am thinking this is hormonal since it has happened the same week before periods. 🥲💔

Let me know if you have any quick recommendations. I have doctor’s appointments scheduled for August because that’s when they can get me in.

Hemiplegic Migraines

I get hemispheric migraines and they kill me. I have rescue med alongside normally taking magnesium, and B1.

I am not sure what else to do life style wise that would be helpful. I feel right now that lifting weights above my head has trigger them over the past two months bc each time I’ve gotten one I have done that type of lifting the day before at around 6pm and had the migraine at early morning.

Any suggestions highly appreciated.

Another one

I got one last month on the 17th and one today on the 13th.

Started with no vision in left eye so I took my ubrelvy rescue medication. Then about an hour later my hand had no movement, felt like someone put a blood pressure monitor on and squeezed really hard. Took another ubrelvy. Now I just have pain, when will this end. I hate taking work off it makes me anxious.

The only similarity I can see is last night at 6 I went to a workout class and lifted weights above my head. Last time I did the peloton for the first time and was lifting weights above my head the night before as well.

Also with this one I am 10 days away from my period, last one I was 7 days away.

This is seriously so awful, I need a support group

Auto immune since 10 years old

Over the past couple months I have had an incredibly hard time waking up in the morning. I have also had swelling in my hands and face, not an incredible amount but enough for me to notice. My body also feels way more fatigued then normal and I constantly have tight shoulder and back. I would like a way for this swelling and bloating to go down because it's making me extremely self conscious.

Background on my health : early 20s female started having joint pain in knees when I was 10 during stressful family situation. Got help for that and later in life around 17 had another stressful situation and was diagnosed with lupus by a internist who told me no other doctor would give me this diagnosis but she thought I was at early stages. Then I had Covid-19 when I was 20 and had horrible symptoms was bed ridden for 3 months. About a year ago I went to Rheumatologist, who, surprise, took me off of my lupus med and told me I didn't have it some people just have high ANA counts (1:640). Also over the years I have experienced hemiplegic migraine, recently I just had an episode and it took about a week to feel back to normal neurologically. I took about 2 weeks off strenuous activity during this including my normal yoga and gym.

I would really like to feel better, does anyone have suggestions for routines with autoimmune that help with fatigue, pain, etc? I just want to feel normal😢

Tomorrow will be two weeks

Tomorrow will be two weeks since the attack. Still having rebound symptoms. Headaches, pins and needles in hands, and neck stiffness.

I went to a concert yesterday and I think it make my symptoms worse, the lights made me nauseous and I had to leave early. It was planned for months so I didn’t want to miss it.

I just want to get better 😭❤️
I feel so depressed.

Here’s some things i’m doing.

I started trying Tai Chi videos on youtube and walking to get back to some sort of activity.

Taking magnesium and b1 at night before bed.

Tiger balm for my neck at work.

Crackers for nausea and breaks from my computer at work.

Let me know if I should add or take away!

Tips for Postdrome Phase

I had a hemi-migraine on Wednesday the 17th. I was off work for two days, rested all day, ate high protein foods and drank water.

I took a road trip Saturday, but I still am experiencing face, tongue tingling, neck pain, nausea. It’s so frustrating. I know it takes a bit but does anyone have any recovery tips?

I have a busy work week and now I get my period. I just want to do things to feel better! ❤️‍🩹

let me know!

Gua Sha as migraine trigger?

Tuesday, I was feeling some tension in my neck, which I do a lot, and I saw someone say gua shaing your neck can help. I did it at around 2 on Tuesday, and it actually broke blood vessels in my neck.

Fast forward to Wednesday, early morning at 4 am, I woke up with a hemiplegic migraine, which I have only had 3 in my life, including this one. Could the intense rubbing on the neck trigger it? Other times, they told me it was birth control-related, and I haven't been on birth control in a year and a half, which is around the time I had my last one.

Low Sex Drive

I have been super horny basically my whole life. In the beginning of my relationship I was having sex weekly. I think my boyfriend is super attractive and he is so good to me.

It basically plummeted when I stopped taking prozac and then got horrible anxiety and insomnia. Then I went on Buspar and 20mg was having issues and it lowered down to 5mg still having issues.

My gyno says I’m anxious but sex is painful all of a sudden. I’ve been checked for everything. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Please help. :(

Some insight please.

23 F, graduated last year with a degree in Pre-Law and Criminal Justice. I planned on going to Law School fall 2026, but got super anxious about money and wondered if law was even my passion.

I ended up researching jobs that pay decent with low schooling and found a program for Diagnostic Sonography. I applied and interviewed and the program starts in 2027. It seems like I will need to take out a lot of loans for this as well, and not work for two years which makes me so anxious. Also this would be a 180 in my career. Right now I am working as a legal assistant in a law firm and trying to save.

It seems to me like, the real problem is I want to make good money and not stop working. Currently, I am looking into real-estate because I know the area I live in well and am very outgoing. I have a great local agent as a mentor as well.

During all this I am also getting my yoga teaching certificate and I have a tik tok I use as a creative outlet which generates a good amount of views and likes. I can earn commission off the tik tok shop but I haven't tried it.

I guess my question is, what do I do?! I just feel so lost, there is so much I want to do. To me personally generating a lot of income is very important.

What should I do with my career path?

I went to college for Pre-Law/Criminal Justice and I started working in a law firm as a legal assistant right out of college. My plans were to go to law school the next year but I got super nervous about money and all of that so I didn't take the LSAT. After that I began to spiral asking myself is law really what I want to do?

I researched careers with quick schooling that made decent money and I got Diagnostic Sonographer. I applied to a local college and got in. But now I am worried I made an impulsive decision. I basically have no medical background other than child care, and the program seems pretty intense and drama filled. It doesn't start until 2027 Spring so I have time to make a choice. It also means not working for two years which gives me extreme anxiety and more loans.

I am also considering real-estate, as it has more synonymous work with law. Paperwork, important deadlines, etc. I also have an outgoing personality with lots of connections. I also like being creative.

What seems to be the issue truly at hand is I want to make good money. I am so young at 23, and feel so conflicted. Please someone give me advise or insight!

Creatine and Dehydration

I have been taking 5g of creatine a day for about two weeks and honestly felt pretty good, felt strong after workouts, etc. This weekend I went out and had about 5 vodka drinks, which I am usually okay the day after with this amount. I woke up the next day and was fine in the morning, I was running around a bunch for mother's day, and didn't really get that much water in maybe 16 oz. Well, later in the day we were at my aunts house and I became so light headed I felt like I was going to pass out and immediately had to sit down and then go home. Today I woke up and I still feel off, my head is heavy etc. I didn't take the creatine yesterday, and I'm wondering if I should even take it, maybe it was the mix of alcohol and creatine? Not sure let me know if you have had a similar reaction!

Has anyone ever used Podium products? there was a perfect smiley face on the inside of my jar lid wondering if that’s normal lol. It definitely came with a tamper proof silver lining, I’m just weirded out.
