I thought they were woodpeckers but…
I’m unsure now? I’m in Pennsylvania and it seems like they’re a bit big for young woodpeckers? They look like the adult woodpecker that comes around Sorry the picture isn’t the best!

I'm playing a specific quest in Assassin's Creed: Origins and it's giving me major Maze Runner vibes!
It was a no brainer years ago when I first got my driver's license and was asked if I wanted to be an organ donor. My family has been helped by organ donation or would have been had options been there, and in general I just think it's a good thing (for me personally, no judgment for those who don't) to do. However, I was a Christian back then and I got thinking, especially after reading some stuff... if my heart is donated, will that affect the weighing of the heart ceremony? That is if the myths are true as far as the afterlife, which for this question let's assume they are. TIA!
Does anybody know why the statistics area was removed from the Ubisoft connect hub? Because every googled source for trying to see how much of the story I've completed in Origins comes up as "look under the statistics section after selecting the game" but it's literally nowhere. Why would Ubisoft remove something like that??
In the game Assassin's Creed: Origins, which is based in Egypt during the time of Cleopatra (roughly), there are several temples to the Netjeru and iconography/statues throughout the game map. As somebody who is in the broom closet, it has been a wonderful experience to be able to see those representations of the Netjeru I'm devoted to (though I'm saddened by the lack of a temple for Anubis, though I digress) because it gives me an opportunity to just pray, admire, and appreciate without being suspicious to my family. It probably sounds silly, but it means a lot to me.
Anyways, aside from the Netjeru I work with, I really haven't felt anything (aside from just like an "Oh, wow, this is cool" lol) for the statues, locations, etc. for the Netjeru I'm not devoted to. However, I just came across a temple for Thoth and I was overcome by an almost strange feeling of peace, comfort, and perhaps even awe and wonder. While I'm usually not one of those "Is ___ reaching out to me?" this was such a unique experience that I wanted to pitch it to the sub to get others' thoughts on it. I am a writer (novel and screen), overall creative type, and I practice (also in the broom closet) magic, though my practice works with Hathor. TIA! Picture of the location included because I just think it looks so incredibly cool.
Hi there! I hope this sort of post is okay, but I understand if the mods decide it isn't. I'm an author as well as a fan of the sport, and my current novel involves ice skating. I'm trying to decide between two different scenarios for the backstory of the FMC, which ties into the question I have...
If somebody were to be told by a doctor that if she hit her head on the ice again, she would likely end up with permanent complications, would it be realistic for them to consider ice dance as opposed to women's singles or no?
TIA! And again, I'm sorry if this is too off topic for the sub.
After last night I’m really starting to believe they are…
I was driving home late at night down a road known for a lot of deer. I was saying to my passengers how if I hit an animal I’d probably be like a former friend who hadn’t driven in years after hitting an animal. Then I said no I’d still make myself drive, but it would hit me. I also saw several dead animals along the roads while I drove before and after the conversation.
On the road right before the road my house is on, I thought I say a hunched over dead carcass of a small animal. My car sits low, but I angled it so that the “carcass” would go beneath my car in the middle and I wouldn’t disrespect them by driving over them with my tire. I had a JERK of a driver right on my bumper so I had no chance to slow down or change course without putting myself in danger.
The poor animal was alive and it moved up right before I got to it… and my car hit it. It was a possum and I LOVE possums.
Did I jinx myself? Also if anybody’s the praying type (I’m devoted to Anubis and I’ve said many prayers myself), pray for that little creature in whatever’s next for them? Thanks…
