Tipping your injector?? Yay or nay

I got my lip filler dissolved today at a med spa. It was around $300.. at the end they spun the iPad around and it asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. I asked if this was normal practice because I’ve never tipped for this service. The owner was sitting there and said “yes you should tip your injector!”. The person that did my injection comes into the restaurant I work at all the time, so I felt like I had to tip, because I make a living off of tips. However, I have never heard of tipping an injector. I left about $30. Now I feel like an asshole because that’s a 10% tip. I’m curious to know if everyone is tipping injectors now??? I asked my friend if she tips and she said she always tips 20% of her service.

Nighttime frustration- PLZ HELP

The other night I got frustrated with my baby and I feel absolutely awful about it. She’s 3 months and still up every 2 hours and only sleeps about 7. I’ve started breastfeeding her again and the other night she was grabbing my nipples, pinching me, pulling my hair during a meltdown. I started to get frustrated and was pushing the pacifier in her mouth harder than I should’ve and maneuvering her around the boob by grabbing her legs and sliding her up and down on the bed to get closer to the boob. Which I usually do, but I felt like I could have been gentler. I know I didn’t hurt her nor do I think I even came close. But I don’t like that I handled her in that way at all. I feel absolutely awful and like I’m a horrible Mom. I am also afraid I won’t get it under control. I have no help at all. Her Dad abused her severely when she was 2 weeks old so now it’s just me and her. I also can’t afford to bring anyone in the home.

I am supposed to be her safe place and I’m heartbroken that I’m struggling to be that for her. The nights are so foggy and I’m usually half asleep when this happens so I don’t even think to just set her in the bassinet. I need help figuring this out and how I can stop myself from the frustration in these moments.

Trial home placement

How does trail home placement work? What are the rules and stipulations on who can watch the child, any restrictions? Also, I am the uninvolved parent in a severe abuse case. My boyfriend was abusing our baby when I wasn’t home. CPS has recommended trial home placement, and everyone else (GAL, county attorney, lawyers) have agreed. We just need approval from the judge. In what cases would the judge deny trial home? I am so excited to get my baby back!!!!!

Coming to terms with the fact that my Mom despises me

I recently found out that my 6 week old daughter had been severely abused (14 broken bones, and severe head trauma) by her father. He was a nice sweet guy and this was absolutely the last thing I had ever expected from him. I had to move in with my Mom as she was the only option for someone to foster my child. I am able to live with my daughter but this experience has brought up a lot of shit from my past that I’ve noticed about my Mom. I’m really struggling to come to terms with the facts of our relationship.

Throughout this entire experience she has belittled me and made me feel like the most annoying person in the world. Everything I say, she responds to me like I’m a little dumb child. She gets irritated with me asking simple questions. I can’t talk about anything related to my daughter anymore because she’s “tired of hearing about it.” Every time I say anything negative about my day or any of my experiences she totally invalidates it by asking if I have anything positive to say. I’m not allowed to have an emotional day or have any slip ups with my behavior. I feel like I totally have to mask my personality around her and it has been so draining. It’s even more heartbreaking that she can’t put that aside and recognize that not only am I dealing with my daughters abuse, I’m dealing with a breakup, a loss of freedom, a big legal battle and custody battle, extreme financial stress, the loss of my dog (she wouldn’t allow me to bring him with me, which I understood)… all of these incredible life changes and she’s still treating me like garbage.

I’m looking for some real encouragement to get through these next couple of months with her because I’m really struggling and feel like nobody in the world understands.

Found out baby is being severely abused by boyfriend

I found out at a recent hospital visit that my 6 week old baby has been severely abused by my boyfriend when I’m not home. Severe head trauma, and broken bones all over her body. Before anyone comments with judgment, I had no idea that this was happening. Nor did I ever think he was capable of this.

I’m posting this because I am hoping to find someone who may have been in this situation before.

She is going to be in custody with my mom. Due to the severity of our injuries, they have to investigate me and her father. I will never go back to her father, and plan on doing anything to keep her safe from harm.

EDIT: My boyfriend is her bio Dad. I had been trying for weeks to figure out what was wrong with her, but due to a lack of good health care in the rural area we live in, her injuries were missed by many doctors.

Boyfriend abusing 6 week old baby while I’m not around

Reposting this with less information because I want to remain anonymous.

I found out at a recent hospital visit that my boyfriend has been abusing my baby. She has severe injuries. Head trauma, broken bones. This all happened when I was not home.

Obviously, due to the severity of the injuries, they are investigating both of us. He has never shown any signs of aggression towards me or the baby before. When I was around him, I felt like he had a little too much confidence when handling her at times. Meaning he would move a little too quickly with her, and he could’ve been more careful handling her. I was slightly concerned about accidents when it came to her being alone in his care, never him intentionally hurting her.

I’m looking for some advice in the upcoming court hearings, and I’m curious if anyone thinks I’ll ever be able to get my baby back. I am moving out, I have cut off contact with her father, and I will never go back. I plan on doing everything I can in my power to keep her away from any danger for as long as she lives.

5 week old daughter with CP

We found out today my 5 week old has CP (fairly mild apparently). I’m obviously concerned as her Mom but also know she can have a great life. I’m hoping for some responses with how CP has affected your life/ what you wish your parents would have differently raising you as a child with CP.
