AMD has reportedly notified its partners about GPU price increases in China and international markets due to higher manufacturing and memory costs

https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-reportedly-raises-radeon-gpu-prices-by-up-to-104-in-china-rx-9070-xt-unaffected

> AMD has reportedly increased its recommended retail prices for several Radeon graphics cards. According to Board Channels, AMD has notified its partners about pricing adjustments covering both China and international markets. However, AMD has yet to publicly confirm these worldwide changes. Keep in mind, BoardChannels pricing updates usually affect distribution and retailers first. > > The explanation is always the same: higher manufacturing and memory costs. > > The reported changes concern AMD’s fourth-quarter MSRP compared with the previous quarter. The largest absolute increase affects the Radeon RX 9070, while the RX 9070 XT remains unchanged.

Apologies for yet another mug post, but Micro Center still has ~2 pallets of mugs left

It seems like people leaving the store aren't really aware they can take as many as they want (or aware of them at all since the cashiers aren't mentioning it). They have both designs left.

I don't think you really have to buy anything either, so this isn't an #ad 😂

The national average price of diesel has climbed to $6.00 per gallon for the first time in history, per GasBuddy data (and many stations in Columbus are right below that at $5.99)

https://www.gasbuddy.com/go/statement-on-diesel-reaching-6-per-gallon-for-the-first-time-in-history

> The national average price of diesel has climbed to $6.00 per gallon for the first time in history, according to GasBuddy, whose live, real-time data reflects key thresholds like this one first. It is a level diesel has never reached, and it comes less than a week after prices set a fresh all-time record of $5.85. > > While gasoline gets the headlines, diesel is the fuel that moves the economy, powering the freight trucks, trains, agricultural equipment, and construction machinery behind nearly everything Americans buy. That means its impact reaches far beyond the transportation sector. As diesel climbs, higher supply chain costs work their way into the price of groceries, household goods, deliveries, and countless other products families rely on every day, even for households that never fuel a diesel vehicle. > > At $6.00 per gallon, diesel is now up roughly $2.30 from a year ago, when the national average sat near $3.70. > > “Not every day are new all-time records set, and this will be a particularly painful one for the economy that may not even be immediately felt, but record diesel prices will impact every cargo, shipment, every delivery Americans are taking, and are likely to reignite inflation up and down the supply chain. And for now, it comes at a time of year when diesel prices also traditionally rise, adding more pain. I suggest Americans anticipate a costlier holiday season, as it appears diesel prices could continue climbing as geopolitical tensions continue to remain a main factor,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

You can see Columbus diesel prices here: https://www.gasbuddy.com/home I'm seeing $5.99 across the board near me

Nintendo has updated the Super Metroid Nintendo Music webpage in the last 24 hours

Source: https://famiboards.com/threads/nintendo-direct-zelda-40th-spoilers-and-leak-containment.18564/post-2432724

This is one of the games malo said is getting a remake, which was originally covered here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/1s5r1jm/youtube_comment_posted_nintendo_leaks_that_lines/

Putting the Grain of Salt flair on this because it's unclear what the webpage update was, and it could just be something insignificant. This just seems weirdly coincidental.

Digital Foundry corroborates Windows Central's report about the supply chain for disc based media falling apart. It's "proving problematic" for Microsoft to buy optical drives

Source: https://youtu.be/s3HuIFUO3d8?t=943s

> There's been various briefings going around, I think there's one on Windows Central, and I can confirm we've had similar reports. But basically the whole supply chain for producing game Blu-Ray discs in mass volume is not looking great. The concept of a company like Microsoft, who has to buy in optical drives, that's proving problematic for them. I do think that the chances of Helix or certainly the Microsoft console having a physical disc drive are probably quite slight at this point.

The cost to produce motherboards has reportedly gone up at least 10%, primarily driven by 15-50% increase in PCB costs, 50% increase in capacitor costs, and 10-20% increase in WiFi module costs

https://videocardz.com/newz/motherboard-costs-rise-at-least-10-pcb-prices-climb-up-to-50

> Motherboard manufacturers may have another round of price increases ahead, as the cost of several key components continues to rise. According to Board Channels, motherboard production costs have increased by at least 10%, while the price changes introduced by manufacturers in August averaged only around 3%. > > PCB pricing is reportedly one of the main contributors. The source claims motherboard PCB prices have increased by 15% to 50%, depending on the type. Capacitors are said to cost around 50% more, while Wi-Fi modules have increased by roughly 10% to 20%. These increases affect the bill of materials even before other components and manufacturing costs are considered.
