End of a marriage, tell me how to stop it hurting

Hi, recently been left by my wife of 4 years, together for 8. She's gone and there's nothing i can do about it.

Im 37, how will I ever meet anyone i feel that depth of love for now. How will it ever stop hurting. I have never felt such emptiness.

What should I do??

I basically want to know if folks think I should mind my business/give the benefit of the doubt or do something.

My mother in law wants a new puppy. She had two spaniels one of which has recently died and she is left with one elderly and infirm dog.

She is an incredibly selfish woman and my own personal feelings aside, I truly believe it would be cruel for her to own another dog, never mind a spaniel.

She barely walked them, when she cant be bothered getting them proper dog food I have seen them only be fed mashed potato for over a week. The dog that recently passed was not cared fkr properly in her older years, she was hit by a car and not taken to a vet, had an abscess in her eye which she didnt take action on until it was a big issue.

The current dog needs medication as shes constantly in pain, she wont go and get her the medication for some unknown reason. We offered to pick it up and she said no and is instead opting to use over the counter painkillers (i know that these can be used but the poor dog is in an advanced level of pain and it clearly isnt enough)

She now wants a spaniel puppy which wont get the exercise or mental stimulation it needs and I feel so sorry for it already! And also the older dog who will naturally get harassed by the puppy when shes already in pain.

So should I mind my own business or tell the rescue about all this anonymously?

Currently sexless with nesting partner

Me and my partner are currently not having sex due to issues we've had in our marriage. This is something we have spoken about in detail and are working positively to get through and fix. We didnt become open to try and fix this, issues came after.

We've been open for about a year and a half and at the moment she has feelings for someone and is with them now. I havent heard from her all day and I cant help feeling so shit about her being with them.

Im not even sure what im looking for in this post, I just feel so shit knowing how much she desires that person and having all the sex when I want that with her so badly.

Supporting my partner whilst not being supported myself

We both lost our dog 4 days ago very suddenly. My partner was away and couldnt get back in time so I had to deal with a fairly traumatic ending for our girl on my own, and process the loss on my own in the days that followed. She was with her friend who supported her and I was alone. Im not resentful of this part, theres nothing we could have done to change that.

We both said how we cant wait to be back together and support each other through this but when she came back I noticed that the support was very one sided from me and I dont feel like any of my needs in this time were explored.

She hasnt asked me once what I need in terms of support, when I cry she just sits away from me looking at me, ive done all the emotional labour of organising the cremation and she didnt offer at all to help me or if im okay doing that.

Im not one to be tit for tat when it comes to supporting each other but on this occasion I feel completely unseen and not a consideration at all. We've both lost a dog we love dearly and its hard for both of us but I feel so completely alone in my grief.

Hi all, I recently had my flight cancelled to Freetown from Brussels. They offered me an alternative flight with a code share airline but they denied me boarding for no reason and could only offer an apology. We ended up ditching the trip and they put us on a flight back to manchester.

I have received £520 compensation but as I was unable to go on the trip, due to being delayed by what would have ended up being 4 days, am I also entitled to get a full refund for the outbound and return trip?

Thanks

Edit: the flight was for march 2026, brussels airlines, originating in manchester UK, connection in brussels and then onto freetown. Return flight was Monrovia to brussels and then back to manchester
