Mocked up my next build

Excuse the poor photochop but it gets the job done.

It’s either this build or a LMT spec war upper with d.wilson converted 12.5 criterion and riflespeed GB or a complete solgw mk1.

Build plan.
Upper-Vltor MUR
Barrel-Criterion Hybrid 13.9
Gas block- Riflespeed adjustable
Hand guard- PRI rifle length with recce rail.
Suppressor- Rhodie 6k

I already own the EOtech 558 and a complete BCM lower that I plan on throwing an a5 buffer on.

The goal would be my Go to GPR.
If my measurements are right this should still be an inch shorter than my 16” barrel with surefire muzzle brake and roughly the same weight w/o suppressor.

My current upper already has a 14” pri handguard that I plan on putting a full top rail on and re barreling to 6arc to be my precision upper.

I’m pretty sure the LMT Spec war would be a good option (arguably better) that I may still end up going with but the Vltor mur with the pri toob would be sick as hell.

This will be a sbr either way, not planning on p&w.

2nd ruck down!

M30 6’0 285lbs

Decided instead of doing a loop I’d go visit my wife at work and drive her car back home and pick her up later. Made for a funner trip than a regular loop.

Heart rate stayed between 90 and 105bpm. Longest ruck yet and I’m happy I was able to prove to myself I could do it.

It was also good weather, 80 degrees but cloudy and breezy so I didn’t have to worry about the sun beating down on me.

Knocked out my first ruck while walking the dogs

Recently started going to the gym and starting my diet 2 weeks ago. (M30, 6’0”, 280lbs). Decided I wanted to upgrade my cardio by Rucking while walking my dogs instead of just walking without weight (I hate running.)

This felt pretty good. Added 30lbs of weight in an old 5.11 pack I had lying around. I was able to keep the weight high and tight but it’s missing the sternum strap which I feel would help with the shoulder soreness I started to get about half way through. I’ll probably upgrade eventually but this works for now. Total weight was 37lbs on the scale including the weight of the pack and water bladder.

I probably could have shaved a couple minutes walking by myself as my dogs love stopping and smelling the flowers, but I’m still decently happy with this and I know I have plenty of room to grow. Looking forward to seeing how good I can get.
