My favorite compost additive

My favorite compost additive

Tens of thousands of these drop in my yard every year and I have a vacuum mulcher. After sucking them up and peeing on them compost always gets to cooking and they will break down in a matter of 4-5 days. Did a round of mulching them 3 days ago and they are already almost fully broken down and a healthy level of mycelium form my wine caps is consuming them as well

A little patchy but my clover lawn is starting to come in

Did my front lawn and strip along the road which is growing in even better. Back yard is still mostly grass but spread clover seed throughout hoping it helps by taking over. Zone 7

Some times free labor pays off

Just found out I’m having a kid, sold my 2018 vett and was planning on buying a cheap 4 door. Been helping my neighbor fix up his 2009 civic for free over the past few weeks. He’s bought all the parts I just brought my tools and time and he helped when he could. Today he informs me he bought a 2016 civic and he’s signing the title over to me for the 2009 after we just fully repaired it.

Wife’s best friend installed a stripper pole in her house. She decided to throw a contest to see who had the best moves on the pole. 32 people over the house all couples and I was the only dude who stepped up to the pole. Everyone put in ten bucks and it was winner takes all, voted by the group. I won. 6’2” 240 and still swinging ass on the pole. Doing manual labor my whole life since 12 years old finally paid off….

So added a few new beds this year and already spread all my home made compost so I needed some more. I needed 2 yards, minimum order was 3 I said I’ll make it work. They just showed up and dumped 6 yards in my driveway. I’m not looking forward to moving all of this.

Had the time of my life today. Me/my shop just finished up some body work and a few body mods on a corvette that is pure race car. 2019 3zr manual not street legal and built for roll racing. My shop happens to own the entire complex/parking lot and after the customer came to pick up the car gave me permission to do a full send through the lot before he put it on his trailer. Lot runs a little over a 1/4 mile. I roasted the tires all the way through third and when it finally hooked thought I broke my neck. Iev owned some fast cars in my time but holy shit this thing ripped.

This page was meant for people in the industry not people that have no idea what they are talking about or people asking for estimates or “is this totaled.” I may have some hot takes on posts people don’t agree with but 99% of the time people disagreeing with me have no experience in the field at all. I miss when this page was just techs/painters sharing their stories.
