MocciMu's Teenage Powerpuff Girls

I really like how this artist didn't sexualize or make the girls look "hot" but instead actually put thought into their uniforms. It's pretty inspired by the PPGZ anime I think but it's cool that their outfits follow a similar design yet each one has unique differences that bring out their personalities. Bubbles has a sailor type look cuz she's the baby while Buttercup has leather jacket and more punk features. She designed other characters and villains too

I don't know where the artist went cuz she closed like all her socials a while ago tho sorry if I'm unable to credit

Advice for Someone Unfamiliar with Outside Tokyo

10-Day Japan Honeymoon Itinerary — Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Enoshima

Hi everyone! I know this subreddit receives a lot of itinerary posts, so I apologize for adding another one. We’ve done quite a bit of planning ourselves, but we’d really appreciate advice from people with more experience traveling around Japan.

My fiancée and I will be visiting Japan for our honeymoon from October 5–14, 2026. Our flights and hotels are already booked. We’re not trying to see absolutely everything—we want a mixture of sightseeing, food, shopping and time to enjoy ourselves without constantly rushing.

I’ve visited Tokyo before, so I’m fairly comfortable navigating the city. However, I have no experience with Kyoto, Osaka, Enoshima or traveling between these areas. I’d especially appreciate advice about anything outside Tokyo and any potential issues that someone only familiar with Tokyo might not anticipate.

October 5 – Arrive in Tokyo

  • Arrive at Narita Airport
  • Travel to our hotel in Asakusa
  • Check in and have a relaxed first dinner
  • Convenience-store run and rest

October 6 – Ueno and Skytree

  • Convenience-store picnic at Ueno Park
  • Explore the Ueno area
  • Tokyo Skytree
  • Kirby Café for dinner, if we secure the reservation

October 7 – Harajuku and Shibuya

  • Breakfast at Micasadeco & Café
  • Meiji Jingu
  • Cat Street
  • Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Factory
  • Red Rock
  • Nintendo TOKYO
  • Mega Don Quijote
  • Omoide Yokocho
  • Ichiran Ramen

This is probably our busiest Tokyo day, so we’re willing to remove something if necessary.

October 8 – Visiting Friends and Akihabara

  • Visit some friends in the morning
  • Spend the afternoon and evening in Akihabara
  • Book Off
  • GiGO
  • Super Potato
  • Radio Kaikan
  • Kuriko-an
  • Dinner at either Hinoya Curry or Menya Musashi

October 9 – Tokyo to Kyoto

  • Take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Kyoto
  • Eat an ekiben on the train
  • Check in near Nijo
  • Relax and explore the surrounding area
  • Dinner at Men-ya Inoichi

October 10 – Uji and Nintendo Museum

  • Explore Uji
  • Nintendo Museum at 2:00 PM—reservation confirmed
  • Return to Kyoto for dinner

October 11 – Arashiyama

  • Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
  • Explore the surrounding area
  • Try some dango
  • Possibly book a private bath or spa experience
  • Dinner at Gyoza Hohei

October 12 – Fushimi Inari, Nishiki Market and Osaka

  • Fushimi Inari early in the morning
  • Nishiki Market
  • Waguri Senmon Saori
  • Salon de thé François
  • Travel to Osaka in the afternoon or evening
  • Explore Dotonbori and see the Glico sign
  • Try takoyaki, okonomiyaki, kushikatsu and crab
  • Possibly visit Rikuro’s Cheesecake and Don Quijote
  • Return to Kyoto that night

We know Dotonbori is extremely popular and busy. We mainly want to see the area, try a few snacks and then have a proper crab dinner somewhere that isn’t overwhelmingly crowded.

October 13 – Kyoto to Enoshima

  • Take the Shinkansen to Shin-Yokohama
  • Continue to Enoshima by local train
  • Check into our Japanese-style hotel
  • Enjoy the tatami room and provided yukatas
  • Explore the nearby area and watch the sunset
  • Relax for the evening

October 14 – Enoshima, Kamakura and Departure

  • Explore Enoshima Island
  • Lunch at Zazamaru
  • Possibly visit the Great Buddha in Kamakura
  • Leave the area at approximately 3:00 PM
  • Travel to Narita Airport
  • Flight departs at 9:30 PM

Sorry again for another itinerary post! We’d be very grateful if anyone could point out days that look unrealistic or overly crowded.

Since my only experience in Japan has been in Tokyo, I’d particularly appreciate advice about Kyoto, Osaka and Enoshima. Are there any differences involving transportation, luggage, crowds, business hours or general planning that might surprise someone accustomed to Tokyo? Are there any potential problems with our travel days or connections that we may be overlooking?

We’d also appreciate feedback on our Kyoto/Osaka day, traveling from Enoshima to Narita on our final day and any quieter alternatives for eating crab near Dotonbori. Thank you!

Spider-Man's Rogues Gallery has NOT yet been Exhausted!

My pals keep saying that they've completely exhausted Spider-Man's villains. Also citing that NWH used up the big names already such as Otto, Goblin and Sandman.

Which...to me...is crazy. Spidey's arguably got the most famous rogues gallery in comic history (next to Batman). And in terms of big names, we still have a few that can be gone through! The biggest villain to me that can still be done is of course Kraven but we also have Rhino, Mr. Negative, Chameleon, Black Cat (more of a side villain like Scorpion but she's still an iconic character) and Hobgoblin.

And we still have other lesser knowns like the Spider-Slayers, Beetle or Morlun.

Hell, we technically still can and should get adaptations for Venom/Carnage in the MCU. Maybe Shriek.

Even Shocker deserves a proper adaptation in the MCU still! Get him in the suit!

Basically, no...Peter's villains are not all exhausted...we can still hope for more.

Retroid Pocket Mini V2 Review: This Thing Is Kind of Amazing

I’ve been using the Retroid Pocket Mini V2 for a while now, and I honestly think it’s one of the best handhelds Retroid has made.
What surprised me the most is just how much power they managed to cram into something this small. It feels like one of those devices where you keep saying, “There’s no way this game is gonna run,” and then…it just does.

Design
The size is honestly one of my favorite parts. It’s small enough that I can actually throw it in my pocket without thinking about it, but it never feels cheap or uncomfortable. The grips help a lot, and the Hall Effect sticks feel great.
It’s just one of those handhelds that’s easy to pick up and play.

Display
The AMOLED screen is gorgeous. Colors really pop, blacks look fantastic, and retro games look better than ever. The V2 also fixed the screen issues the original Mini had, so I never felt like I was compromising just because I wanted a smaller handheld.

Performance
This thing is seriously impressive.
Everything up through GameCube, Wii, and a good chunk of the PS2 library runs way better than I expected. I found myself spending less time tweaking emulator settings and more time actually playing games, which is always a good sign.
For a handheld this size, the performance is honestly kind of ridiculous.

Software
Since it’s running Android, you get all the flexibility you’d expect. Once I had my emulators and frontend set up, everything just worked. It takes a little bit of setup at first, but after that it’s smooth sailing.

Final Thoughts
The Retroid Pocket Mini V2 has become one of those handhelds I keep reaching for. It’s small, powerful, comfortable, and just really easy to live with.
If you want something you can actually carry around every day without giving up GameCube and PS2 performance, I think this is one of the best options out there.
Rating: 9.5/10

Pros
Beautiful AMOLED screen
Surprisingly powerful
Super portable
Great controls and Hall Effect sticks
Handles GameCube, Wii, and PS2 really well

Cons
The smaller screen won’t be for everyone
Android takes a little setup
Battery life is good, but nothing crazy

At the end of the day, this is just a really fun handheld. It doesn’t try to be flashy, it just does almost everything I want it to do, and it does it really well. It’s easily one of my favorites.

TrimUI Brick Pro Review: A Great Upgrade That Doesn’t Overcomplicate Things

The TrimUI Brick Pro doesn’t try to reinvent the original Brick. Instead, it improves the things that mattered most. You get a bigger screen, dual Hall Effect sticks, a larger battery, and a more comfortable design, all while keeping the same simple experience that made the original so popular.

Design

The Brick Pro is definitely bigger than the original, but I actually think it’s for the better. It’s more comfortable to hold, especially during longer sessions, and the build quality feels excellent. The Hall Effect sticks are a huge upgrade too, making systems like N64 and Dreamcast much more enjoyable to play.

Display

The 3.95-inch IPS display is easily one of the best parts of the handheld. It’s bright, sharp, and the 4:3 aspect ratio is perfect for most retro consoles. Whether you’re playing SNES, PlayStation, or arcade games, everything looks fantastic.

Performance

Performance is basically the same as the original Brick, and honestly, that’s okay. It handles everything from NES through PlayStation with ease, while Dreamcast, N64, and PSP are still very playable. Just don’t expect reliable GameCube or PS2 emulation.

Software

TrimUI’s software continues to be one of the easiest to use. The interface is clean, sleep mode works well, and if you like customizing your handheld, there’s plenty of community support and custom firmware available.

Final Thoughts

The Brick Pro isn’t about raw power. It’s about making an already great handheld even better to use every day. The larger screen, improved ergonomics, and analog sticks make a noticeable difference, even if the performance hasn’t changed.
If you liked the original Brick, this feels like the version it was always meant to be.
Rating: 9/10

Pros
Gorgeous IPS display
Comfortable to hold
Excellent Hall Effect sticks
Great battery life
Clean, easy-to-use software

Cons
Same performance as the original Brick
Larger size isn’t as pocket-friendly
Still not ideal for GameCube or PS2

The Brick Pro may not be the biggest leap forward, but it doesn’t need to be. It refines an already excellent handheld and ends up being one of the easiest retro devices to recommend.

Anbernic RG Rotate Review: A Refreshingly Different Take on Retro Gaming

Retro handhelds have become increasingly similar over the past few years. Faster processors, bigger screens, and familiar horizontal layouts dominate the market. The Anbernic RG Rotate takes a different approach. Instead of chasing raw power, it focuses on creating a unique experience through thoughtful design and portability.

Its defining feature is, of course, the rotating square display. At first glance it might seem like little more than a novelty, but after spending time with the device, it’s clear that the hinge isn’t just there for show. It fundamentally changes how the handheld feels to use while giving it an identity unlike anything else currently available.

Design

The RG Rotate immediately stands out. The rotating display evokes memories of experimental consumer electronics from the early 2000s, but the execution feels surprisingly modern. The hinge is solid, rotates smoothly, and inspires confidence rather than concern.

Build quality is excellent overall. The device feels dense without being heavy, and the compact footprint makes it genuinely pocketable. At around 167 grams, it’s a handheld you can comfortably bring along without giving it a second thought.

While many retro devices prioritize function over form, the RG Rotate manages to deliver both. It feels like a product that was designed with personality rather than simply assembled around a specification sheet.

Display

The 3.5-inch 720×720 IPS display is arguably the biggest strength of the system.
A square screen naturally complements many classic gaming systems. Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Neo Geo Pocket, WonderSwan, Pico-8, arcade titles, and many retro consoles look fantastic. The high resolution allows integer scaling and CRT shaders to shine without sacrificing sharpness.

Not every platform benefits equally. PSP and other widescreen systems naturally display with black bars, making the available screen area smaller than on traditional 16:9 handhelds. For players primarily interested in PSP or game streaming, there are better options.

However, for classic gaming, the display is excellent and feels purpose-built for the systems this handheld targets.

Performance

Powered by the Unisoc T618 processor and 3GB of RAM, the RG Rotate isn’t aiming to compete with higher-end Android handhelds.
Instead, it delivers dependable performance where it matters most.

Everything from NES through Dreamcast runs comfortably, while PSP performs very well. GameCube and PlayStation 2 compatibility is more selective, with lighter titles becoming playable after some emulator configuration.

The hardware isn’t groundbreaking in 2026, but it remains capable enough for the audience this device is designed for.

Software Experience

Running Android 12 gives users considerable flexibility.
Whether you prefer RetroArch, standalone emulators, Daijisho, Beacon, or another frontend, the RG Rotate allows you to customize the experience to your liking. Android also opens the door to media apps, cloud saves, and game streaming services.

Like most Android handhelds, some initial setup is required, but once configured, the experience is smooth and familiar.

Ergonomics

The RG Rotate excels as a portable handheld.
Its compact size makes it ideal for shorter gaming sessions, commuting, or travel. The controls feel responsive, and the device is comfortable for casual play.

The smaller form factor does have its compromises. Extended sessions may become less comfortable than on larger handhelds, and the absence of analog sticks limits compatibility with games designed around dual-stick controls.

Fortunately, the device clearly understands its strengths and doesn’t try to be everything at once.

Where It Falls Short

The RG Rotate isn’t without compromises.
Battery life is respectable but unremarkable, averaging around five hours depending on workload.
The lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack may disappoint users who prefer wired audio, particularly given the retro focus of the device.

Finally, while the square display is one of its greatest strengths, it naturally isn’t the ideal choice for widescreen content.
These tradeoffs are worth considering before purchasing, especially if your library leans heavily toward PSP or modern Android games.

Final Verdict

The Anbernic RG Rotate succeeds because it doesn’t attempt to outmuscle every competitor. Instead, it offers something increasingly rare in the retro handheld market: a distinct identity.
Its rotating display isn’t simply a conversation piece. It enhances portability, complements many classic gaming systems, and gives the handheld a character that few competitors can match.

Combined with a sharp display, dependable performance, and Android’s flexibility, the RG Rotate becomes an easy recommendation for players who primarily enjoy retro gaming and appreciate thoughtful industrial design.

It won’t replace more powerful handhelds for everyone, but it doesn’t need to. The RG Rotate knows exactly what it wants to be, and it delivers that experience exceptionally well.

Score: 9/10

Pros
Excellent rotating design with premium build quality
Beautiful high-resolution square IPS display
Great performance for classic emulation
Extremely portable and pocket-friendly
Flexible Android software ecosystem

Cons
No analog sticks
Battery life is average
No 3.5mm headphone jack
Square display is less suited for widescreen platforms

The RG Rotate is one of the most distinctive retro handhelds released in recent years. Rather than competing solely on specifications, it focuses on delivering an experience that feels intentional, polished, and genuinely enjoyable to use. For many retro enthusiasts, that’s exactly what makes it special.

I hate the Illumination Art Style

Many many things can be said about Illumination. Sure they're objectively seen as the worst animation studio in the industry quality wise and of course that's just common knowledge...scripts being so dull, stories half assed and churned out, their reliance on the Minions etc etc

I wanted to focus on something, which is pretty subjective, that also annoys me and tbh that's the ART STYLE of the studio. Their new original IP, Not Alone, had it's first trailer debut yesterday and once I saw the character designs...I knew exactly what studio this was.

I dunno what it is. The faces always seem very poofy, the way their mouths are look really...ugly. Maybe those with actual design knowledge can explain but I really can't put my finger on why the designs...ranging from the pigs in Sing, the Despicable Me characters, the Lorax film cast to even the animals in Pets....all have this big elongated face that feels so rubbery and ugly. The beedy pupils and puffy cheeks .... it's so ...bland?

Sure outside of a select few films like Luca and Turning Red, most early Pixar films also had a similar art style (especially when it came to humans). Linguini looked like he could fit into the humans from Toy Story or WALL-E, yeah.

Each Illumination film looks way too similar to the point where it feels like it's all just taking place in the same exact city.

I dunno. Maybe someone else feels the same way.

Hell, maybe I just don't like the way the films look...simple as that lol

They're ugly

Why Can't I Download ALL My Memories?

I am trying to download my Memories and I have placed the request dozens of times now over the past days but either it doesn't work or I do get my Memories but not ALL of them. Is there a reason why? I just want every single memory I have on my profile and it is annoying how many times I've tried and gotten absolutely no success.

HotKey for Retroarch?

Random question but what do you guys set for a hotkey on these simple handhelds? I've got experience with a Thor mostly so the limited buttons on the Rotate has me wondering what you guys use for hotkey activation? I use fast forward and rewind a lot for old RPGs and stuff.

Also side question, I don't know how to bring in the Quick Menu in Retroarch midgame. It doesn't give me an option or way to pull it up. Any help would be appreciated!!

Apologies; I'm new to these simpler handhelds!!!

Must Knows for the RG Rotate?

I feel there's not enough fun and insightful videos or write-ups on this quirky little device. Obviously it ain't to the level of the Thor...where we get about ten videos a day on new frontends, tips and must-know tricks for the device. However, I just got mine and I'd like to see what other owners can offer!

What's some good info to know for Rotate owners? Are there ways to better GBA scaling? Any options to better aspects of the device for QoL improvements?

The Issue with how Disney handles the Lilo & Stitch IP

Look I GET IT. Stitch is cutesy and cuddly and marketable but for so many years now, it's been so apparent that Disney has been slowly and quietly phasing Lilo out of the brand. You look everywhere and all you see is Stitch and Stitch and Stitch. To the point where the name of the IP has been reduced to JUST his freaking name.

It's LILO AND Stitch. Not JUST Stitch.

Lilo is part of the duo. The IP is based on THEIR friendship and bond. THEM together is the point of the story.

So seeing merchandise and popups and (in the case of even Kingdom Hearts) appearances that SHOULD represent the entire IP only being filled with Stitch is annoying and irritating.

You don't see How to Train Your Dragon sidelining Hiccup to only focus on Toothless all the time or MoonGirl and Devil Dinosaur only focusing on the Dinosaur. Lilo & Stitch are a DUO. And Disney is so hellbent on pushing the cutesy cuddly blue alien.

My niece is a little brown 8 year old girl and she adores everything Lilo because she feels represented and she likes to see herself in the character. So imagine her disappointment when any time we go to a store and see merchandise for the IP, she has to literally dig and dig to even find a single piece of merch that has Lilo in it.

Also, what's even worse, is that they DO include a pairing for Stitch. But it's not Lilo. Nope. It's that one-off pink Stitch variant Angel from the Disney Channel TV show from the early 2000s. Why? Because SHE IS JUST ANOTHER CUTE STITCH BUT PINK. THAT'S IT. Screw Lilo. Let's bring in Stitch's damn cousin who he has a kinda weird romantic interest in that wasn't even part of any of the original theatrical films.

Disney often ignores their Direct to Video sequels and TV series but the fact that they're so desperate to shaft Lilo that they'd rather dig up the pink Stitch is so egregious.

You could have some great representation for little girls of color via Lilo. You could have her with Stitch on cute backpacks and shirts or whatever (and yes there are but so so so few) but nope. Ya gotta sideline the literal OTHER half of the title.

Don't even get me started on the cute-ification of Stitch as a character...that's a whole other rant for another time. Stitch was introduced as a rambunctious, annoying and messy little demon who loved destroying things and creeping out the rest of the Disney cast. Nowadays, they've reduced him to a Hello Kitty rip-off. They've taken away all his character and personality and now he's just a cuddly baby boy. When's the last time ya'll even seen merchandise with his alien form? I barely ever see his full four armed, spikes on the back and antennae self.

Bottom line TLDR:

They've kicked Lilo to the curb. Replaced her with a lazy Pink Stitch. Reduced Stitch himself to a marketable cuddly mascot.

And I hate it.

Hey everyone, same guy from the past few months again, the dude who has been asking about the X Mansion coming back over and over.

Hope seemed gone for a while. Until this week, however, when a few users starting reporting some X Mansions popping back up on Ali. Not sure if anyone here has already purchased one of these restocks but if you did...kindly let the rest of us know if it actually does arrive or it's just another flook like last time!

The other websites like HotToyz still show no signs of ever getting them back but who knows if these AliExpress pop ups signal a true restock approaching.

With all the hubbub over DD joining the roster, I'm pretty excited myself. I just really do hope that they don't exclude Lunella herself. They haven't added a child character yet; and with the fandom the way it is...maybe that's for a good reason. Still, it really is gonna feel strange to get DD and have him in action without Moon Girl riding atop.

If you ain't gonna break up Cloak and Dagger or separate the F4, then all I ask is that you keep these two together too.

Might not be as big a deal for others as it is for me but eh, I just thought I'd put it out there as a fan who got into the series through the tv show and then the comics.
