I know it’s a long shot, but I have 4 glow light tetras and 3 neon tetras that I’d like to rehome in northern Colorado.

Been doing research and have been wanting a jumping spider for years, and I finally brought home this little fella today!

Got Rune set up in a mansion just now and he/she is deciding where to make their web! (Got from a reputable breeder and they couldn’t identify sex yet. If you know how to before their molt please let me know, otherwise I’ll updated if I figure it out. Let’s pray for female!

Is there anyway I can preserve him and honor him?

I repurposed an incense holder that I don’t use anymore, stuffed it with peat moss and put rocks in the bottom of a pot I painted to stabilize it along with the leftover moss.

I zip-tied her on top and tried my best to get her roots to grow around the wood over time. Did I do a good job for my first attempt and little materials? Any advice?

Edit: I live in a very dry climate so this is the most success I’ve had with an orchid. I have a humidifier posted up next to her and I spray her daily any advice on keeping her hydrated?

Where would you put spices, oil, mugs, plates, pots, pans, utensils, cooking tools, aluminum foil, etc??

I eventually might need to get like a floating island type thing for extra space?

Just wanted to show off my two boys and girl. I recently got this koi male, Maraschino, or Mars for short. The mustard blue is my oldest, Hondo, (2 yrs) and the red veil tail is my gal, Bellona, I’ve had for about 7 months.

My heater broke and I woke up yesterday to my tank being 70 degrees F, my Cory, Sol, here looked bad. I got a heater set up asap and got the temperature back to normal by evening. All my other fish are completely fine, but She’s not getting better. I just got a glimpse of her underside and I see her chest is caved in? Now I’m wondering if something else happened or parasites or something? Shes barely breathing 😣 I put some food in front of her and her buddy Luna is sitting by her side.

(Parameters and everything else is good and stable. It’s a 20 gal)

It keeps reading as too hot and when I unplugged it and plugged it back in it wouldn’t change. I cleaned it and now it continuously beeps and my tank got down to 72 when I found it this morning. One of my Cory’s isn’t doing good. (I got another heater in there now so hopefully she pulls through) but this was an expensive heater and I only bought it about 6 months ago. Have y’all had to use warranty on a hygger heater before? Can I just bring it back to my LFS?

Flowers I found in Oklahoma today!

I’m from Colorado and this is my first time visiting family in Oklahoma. I found these in my family’s yard. It’s so cool to identify flowers that are similar to ones in Colorado, and find new ones!

Picture 1: Passion Maypop flower, passiflora incarnata. I’ve only ever seen one in my life in Colorado and I’ve already seen two here!

The Narrow-leaved Obedient Plant , Physostegia augustifoila. It reminded me of the invasive Snapdragon, but I don’t think I’ve seen this one before.

Picture 3: Poppy Mallow, Callirhoe. I thought it was winecup, but not down here! I haven’t seen this type of poppy before (:

Picture 4: Japanese Honeysuckle, Lonicera japonica. I’ve seen honeysuckle, but not this kind.

Picture 5 & 6: Trumpet creeper, Campsis radicans, new to me! How beautiful!

Picture 7: Pale Meadow Beauty, Rhexia mariana. I thought it looked similar to wild geranium in the Rocky Mountains.

Picture 8: Carolina larkspur, Delphinium carolinianum. I love Foothills Larkspur (Delphinium geyeri) and it’s so cool to see a different genus of it!

During the City Council's upcoming work session on Tuesday May 12th at 6 P.M., Fort Collins Police Services will be presenting their options listed in their memo to City Council. This session will not have public comment, but we can still make a statement that we don't approve 3 of the 4 options they will be presenting.

Option 4: Remove all ALPRs.

If you can attend in person, We will be handing out stickers with the words "OPTION 4" to those who want to show City Council and FCPS we don't want surveillance in FoCo! Address is 300 Laporte Ave! The more people show up to watch with our option 4 stickers on, the harder it will be to ignore us!
