Single parents in bayside struggling to connect

Good morning all, been a baysider for over a decade and last year became a single dad to my special needs daughter. I now really want to get to know my neighbors especially if you are a single parent. I have very little time for socializing but would love to have my daughter meet local friends and same for me if this is you and want to say hi feel free to

Single nyc/li parents

Hi everyone, single dad (47) to an 11 year old special needs daughter I am hoping to find people in similar situations and maybe get together in person. Most of my friends are married however I do have a small group of special needs parents I see regularly but would love to broaden my circle it would be nice especially to find someone to click with since needs for a neurodivergent child are really only understood by neurodivergent parents. Feel free to respond or dm me if you are in a similar situation I would love to hear from you

Any Windsor park residents here?

Hi baysiders, looking to meet some neighbors I’ve lived here 6 years now and don’t really know any of the neighbors. I love our pool club so I do try to get there often if you are a Windsor park resident sound off!

Single parents say hey

Good morning everyone, I’ve posted before about finding people in similar situations to connect with. I’m a single dad of a special needs daughter and have found the situation for a long time very isolating. I have friends but all of them are married with their own kids there are some from various groups I’m in with my daughter who are all married special needs parents but I find now I want to socialize more with parents who understand what the daily life of a sped parent is like, a lot of times people hear parent and they are like oooo and then they hear special needs parent and they are like ooooono if you find yourself in this category say hi, I’m in nyc so if you are local even better

Posted before, nyc single dad of a special needs kiddo

Are there any other special needs parents in here looking to connect? I’m a single dad putting myself out there because I feel I can only relate to that small group of people in similar situations as me and my daughter. The special needs parenting island is often lonely I feel and relating to someone who does not have a special needs child is often difficult because they don’t get all the stuff that needs doing daily for them therapies and socialization among the top two. If you are single needs parent in nyc or Long Island say hi or feel free to message me and see where things go

NYC single parent island

Hi everyone, I was looking to connect with other single parents in my area. Being a single parent is hard, being a single parent of an autistic child is ……well you know. It would be nice to have parents in similar situations to connect with talk to and possibly meet up with so our kids get as much socialization as possible my daughter is 11 years old she does attend social groups on the weekends but it would be nice to meet other parents especially since the summer is coming and we can get out more. Like my heading says I’m in nyc queens so anyone in the Boros close to queens or even Nassau Suffolk are welcome to say hello. Hopefully friends can be made by the kids and the parents
