Shopping Experience

So I had to download Shopify for tracking and I saw the chair was being sold for a huge discount ($130) reached out & asked if I could get that price on the color I preferred.

No response that day, until the next day Friday. I figured no worries, we’ll sort something out and sent them my order number the following day, Saturday.

Instead of being told about an exchange process or something I was shoved screenshots in my face showing I reached out too late. I asked about the chair‘s clearly blank branding on the website, nothin’.

No mention about why Shopify had a better deal than their own site, and that I’m pretty much SOL. I knew that, I reached out to see if we could work something out, and a simple no would have sufficed lol, the weird dodging of all the important stuff felt so off.

Pros

The headrest pillow, the unboxing experience was premium and the big ass instructions were nice. Eco friendly box & all that, relatively simple to put together considering from start to finish took me 10 minutes max.

The rollerblade looking wheels are a nice touch & I like how they look, although online reviewers praise these locking casters you can’t even buy at the moment.

I’ve never liked reclining in chairs, but I like it in this one. It’s tall in the back & wide enough to support my 6’1 frame although I wish the chair went up higher.

Their collaboration designs look amazing, I love seeing artwork on chairs & was eyeing the Wuchang version hard.

Cons

The armrests are very firm, no give to them which I hope adds to durability at least. The lumbar support is good, but the controls are bit awkward to access while adjusting and you do this dance of stretch back and forth, adjust, check if it feels weird or not until you get it right.

There are a lot of things this chair did right, and at the Shopify price it’s imo a pretty solid deal if you like this style of chair. Only time will tell the rest of longevity so I guess I’ll comment on any updates here. Kinda annoying Shopify could have gotten me the exact chair I wanted at the same price I just paid but que sera sera, that’s on me for not doing enough research on other vendors I guess.

Writing this entirely because for their warranty, you have to use social media and share a post, keep it up the entire time and a bunch of other stipulations I can’t recall off the top. So here’s my post, chair came Saturday, yay.

On the website the white chair clearly has a blank back, in person it’s got a big ol‘ gamer branding on it

Other than that unexpected surprise the chair is pretty nice overall at least, definitely what I wanted a sub 500 chair that actually fits me

Roomy for my big ass, took me 10 minutes to put together, and the packaging was the nicest I’ve ever had for a chair

This isn’t a sponsored anything, as I paid out of pocket I kinda wish I had gotten the Wuchang version since it has that same Blacklyte logo on the back lol
