So I signed up for the Wurdweb Newsletter a few days ago when I noticed an update to the website.

This was in my inbox this morning. Unfortunately, it keeps saying it's not available in my country (USA) so I'm hoping it's just a launch glitch that will be fixed soon. It's not an AA app anymore but it was so beloved by many here, I'm posting it in this sub.

So my trial is almost up and I’m ready to pay for a subscription. It should be 2.99x12 =35.88 with the 25% 1st year discount. But it is still showing up as 3.99x12= 47.88.

I read some other comments and it said to add your card so I did but still no discount was applied.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to contact 1Password support easily, just links to support articles or community forums. Where are we supposed to go for assistance? Not a good way to start off just as I’m getting ready to give you my $.

First, I love that you can retrieve parts and use them for another variation of the jungle gun. It’s fun being able to try out the different combos.

But I think my final configuration is:

Steel Net - I tried the other configs and the sticky net is a close second but the steel net gun is the superior weapon in the jungle as it is in the Blue Hole.

Stun Crushing Shotgun - great for temporarily disabling big fish to be droned away

Powerful Armor Piercing Sniper - when you’re out of drones and don’t want to get too close yet.

Stacked Power Rifle - this is my “finish him” weapon usually if the sniper gun didn’t take them out. But I haven’t tried the multi split machine gun and I probably should.

So what’s your jungle gun config?

I know a lot of ppl have been complaining about the Jungle DLC's performance on various platforms. Crashing, dropping frames, slow, etc. So far, I've played it on the following in order of best to worst experience:

XBox One S - pretty smooth. A few dropped frames but no crashing and I was very very happy with it. Yes, it's old but still works just fine for the games I play.

ROG XBox Ally - close to above but a small noticeable difference and no crashing. Surprising though, considering it's so much newer than the console.I thought it would play better on the ROG.

XBox Cloud Gaming on my iPad (I have Game Pass Ultimate) - and a slightly more noticeable difference from the ROG but still no crashing. Better than I expected.

Switch OLED - unplayable for me at this point. Hopefully they fix the crashing issue soon.

But we got a new Samsung TV today so I thought I'd try the XBox Cloud Gaming in the built in Game Hub since I have GP Ultimate. I wasn't expecting much, honestly. But holy cow it's been the smoothest experience so far in terms of playing the Jungle DLC. No crashing, no dropped frames.

Dave moves a little faster and so do the fish. At least it feels that way! Maybe because it's so much smoother than everything else. Definitely shocked at how much better it is on here. Basically, it plays the way we expected it to play on launch day if that makes sense.

Anyway, I thought I'd share in case anyone has a newer Samsung TV.

So - for those of us who have beaten the final boss in the Jungle DLC.

I hate this challenge. Do I need to complete this stag beetle challenge to move forward with something important or get more staff? I’ve only done 1 beetle fight so far and don’t really care to do another one but will if I really have to 😩

I currently have the wireless 8Bitdo BT U2 and Pro 3 controllers that work great on my Switch & Apple devices.

But I recently got a ROG Xbox Ally & dug out my XBox One S since I’ve recently joined MSFT and get GamePass as a perk.

Is there 1 8bitdo controller that can rule them all? I can’t seem to configure my U2 & Pro3s to work with the ROG properly but very much could be me not knowing how to set it up properly with the custom mapping. Maybe because the ones I have aren't xbox specific?

TL;DR
Any advice or recs for which 8Bitdo controller that can use on multiple consoles/platforms? Specifically Xbox/Windows, Switch, Apple and if I can get Steam in there as well for the ROG, that would be incredible.

UPDATE: Well, there doesn’t seem to be once controller to rules them all. But they have this adapter so I can use my Xbox controllers on switch. I guess when there 2 new 8Bitdo Xbox controllers come out at the end of Aug, l’ll add this to the cart.

I'm trying to decide between the 2 ROG XBox Ally handhelds. I work for MSFT now and get a great discount on GamePass but my XBox is old and I don't want to lug it out again since I put it away when I cancelled my sub.

But I also have been really wanting to play more Steam games. As a Mac user (before my new MSFT job), choices were limited and the SteamBox is taking forever.

So anyway - I think I can get away with the 512gb vs the 1tb version since:

* I play mostly cozy & indie games

* I don't play many AAA titles or 1p shooter games

* I still have my Switch OLED and will likely upgrade to the Switch 2 soon but don't feel the need for it yet.

* I will play mostly docked to the TV or monitor

Any thoughts on this? Is there a real reason I should get the 1tb version or are my reasons for the 512gb version sound? It's $499 at BestBuy so I figured it's a good time to buy if it's the right console, right?

First and foremost, I love love love my Subbie. She is amazing and wonderful and makes me feel safe and we have so much fun together.

But I was out of town on a work trip and had a Nissan rental. While I’m not recommending the Nissan Kick to anyone ever, I have to say that the infotainment system/interior was really nice even on their lower end vehicle.

It had buttons & knobs where I wanted buttons & knobs. The e-display was easy to read and navigate w/o much additional setup. You had a choice between wired and wireless CarPlay (or Android if that’s your preference). The wireless charging actually worked well and designed in a way that it a) doesn’t fall out of you brake or turn hard b) keeps charging even in those instances.

And then I came home and realized how much better the Subbie drove despite the Nissan’s fancy interior. So we took a little drive along the water and got all the pollen that accumulated on her washed off while I was away. We will be together for a long time.

So I have a new work laptop and they sent a monitor as well. I already have a home setup.

I’d like to use dual monitors and switch between my work and personal machines. I already have a switch but it’s for single monitor. I guess I can’t switch to my Switch anymore 😩. Google searches weren’t returning the right results.

If you know what kind of cable/switch I need, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
