Can you stream the box to a phone on the same network? Or is there a way to directly get Heat Live from a mobile site? It’s been great that I can watch MLB playoff games but when rocking a kid to sleep, or working in the yard or in the garage it would be awesome to pull up the video on my phone, computer, or tablet

I have been browsing other posts about using a VPN, I tried proton since it was free but didn’t seem to have a killswitch. Woot had a great sale on NordVpN so I got it set up but don’t see a killswitch option as I’ve seen mentioned in other posts. Am I missing something? I have a V6 Max
I got 40 peace stakes each one is 12 seed pixels. These are from VLS specifically and initially I just created 40 vertical single lines in xlights. Will that work? If so then I guess I am done otherwise is there a better or more proper way to map them in xlights? One more thing given these are 480 seed pixels can I do the entire run on a single 12v output ?
I’ve had my v50 ultra complete for like 2 or 3 months now and the mopping solutions don’t seem to be getting used at all. Unless the base station mixes in like 1 drop of solution each time, but both the regular mopping solution and pet solution tanks seem to be full whereas I’ve filled up and dumped the clean and dirty water tanks multiple times over the past few months. Am I missing a setting or does it really use very minimal cleaning solution? Only other thing I can think of is that I typically do room cleaning mode manually as needed instead of full cleans or schedule cleans - so I don’t know if those trigger it to use cleaning solution and room mopping doesn’t or something
I mostly use my apple tv because of how bad the Tizen OS is but I do like the Samsung tv app and my local antenna is connected to my frame. I just want a seamless experience when transitioning between Apple tv where I stream everything due to way better WiFi speeds and picture quality than the crappy WiFi chip in the one connect box itself. It’s just slightly annoying having to use two remotes
Just wondering from others how you set up a push button and maybe even a speaker for foot traffic to just easily push a button to play some sequences and easily hear them without using their phone or radio to tune in
I have a vinyl fence in my backyard so I am just wondering if I left a gate open during a mow, would the mower be able to navigate that? Also how do they do when mowing up close to a fence? I have a 1/3 acre total on my property so size wise it seems manageable but wondering about my fence setup.
I’ve been teleporting every few months to see how each network performs around me. Warp seems to be best coverage wise especially at my house which is kind of out in the sticks. However when I go to popular shopping areas, warp becomes a giant dead zone basically and then once I go into a store there is no coverage at all. Is this just a Verizon issue with the signal or frequencies they use where it can’t penetrate buildings? Light speed works great in the shopping areas and indoors and darkstar is a distant second when it comes to indoor coverage and these busy shopping centers for me. It’s just warp and light speed coverage at my home is almost nonexistent, which doesn’t matter too much since I have WiFi at home. Just wondering in general about this, not necessarily a US mobile question.
I am just wondering for my Samsung galaxy tab dashboard design, are there benefits to using fully kiosked vs the HA kiosk mode? If possible I’d almost like this tablet to function as a smart display like a Google nest hub so I can say OK Google play music and things like that while it also functions as my HA dashboard and on-wall command center. Just looking to gauge what others have done or benefits of doing it one way vs the other
I’ve been considering getting a box here but looking up some of the potential consequences from an ISP standpoint I see they can throttle speeds or ban access entirely. I work from home and there are no other ISPs in the area so I’d be pretty SOL if either happened. So I’m wondering if anybody has had these issues before I pull the trigger. I don’t even know the likelihood of either issue with my ISP
Just curious to get an idea of some fun new ideas to try cooking up for the family.
I am thinking seeds will make my life easier for a mega tree this year and I am a noob so I don’t understand how you string up the seeds and mount them to your topper. I figured I’ll use an aluminum fence pole, but are there different toppers specific for just running strands of seeds? Also, how do you mount them at the base of the tree also? It seems most of the YouTube videos explain using bullets so I am kind of confused how to do it
Last year I got into light shows and did Christmas with moderate success as a noob. Only had a half assed mega tree and a couple props. I am looking to expand and also get into Halloween shows. What’s the best way to do a garage matrix and still have the garage door be fully operational? I’ve been looking at these various panels on GE but that seems it would add a lot of weight and thickness plus make the garage door not work if using bullet pixels also.
I currently have a few automations, one for example checks if my fence gate is open and if the gate is open then somebody opens the sliding door, my Alexa devices say “Alert the fence gate is open do not let the dog out.”
Most of the time my Alexa’s are not turned up very loud so the spoken announcements from HA are difficult to hear. I created some helpers that store the current volume, then boost the volume on the Alexa’s to speak the announcements, then revert back to the stored volume but it just acts kinda wonky. I’d like to maybe get a few dedicated speakers or something to handle this function and it would be a bonus if they can act as the siren for my Alarmo instance which also is using some wonky Alexa automations.
I’m a current customer and been using light speed for a month and now I’m interested in testing dark star for a month as my primary line but I can’t seem to find a comparison chart for network features. I wanted to see stuff like is RCS available, visual voicemail, data streaming speeds like 4k vs HD etc. my main things are obviously coverage but also being able to FaceTime my wife on cellular if I am out and about also which is why I’m interested in the data streaming used for each network. Warp is not really an option for me as Verizon has bad coverage in my location
I already have some “dumb” pathway lights around the little sidewalk that goes from my driveway to front porch. I was wondering how I could incorporate (and if anybody else has done it) some pixel pathway lights that can be controlled nightly to just display soft white lights but then also easily incorporate with xlights during the holidays so I don’t have to swap anything out.
I currently use a couple iRobot J9’s with no mopping ability and they are pretty damn good at vacuuming pet hair from medium/low carpet. Most of the vacuum and mopping combos I tried couldn’t handle the vacuuming part but were solid at mopping and vacuuming my vinyl floors. I’m just getting tired of having one or the other and figured it’s been a couple years so surely somebody had a good experience with a robot vacuum to handle medium to long pet hair on carpet while also being solid at mopping. Most of the review videos seem biased .
Just curious and doing some very early shopping to get ahead of doing my first Halloween display this fall. What do y’all use for spiderwebs, do you just use a mega tree and buy a spider prop topper or something? Or do you just run pixels from a corner of your roof to the ground like those store bought spider web lights?
Got my blackstone a few weeks ago, I did smash burgers with pretty good success but that’s hard to mess up. Tried breakfast and burnt the shit out of the bacon and the sunny side up eggs were overcooked on the bottom and hash brown potatoes were kinda burnt but also kinda soggy. I tried Philly cheese steaks and overcooked the meat. Do you just cook everything low and slow or what am I missing? I’ve watched YouTube videos on cooking stuff and it seems those folks are cranking the burners all the way up but always have perfect looking food. I’m fucking up somewhere here.
