Send me your worst DJ software skins

Fuck you, and fuck your AI slop. No more of it. Use MS Paint and drugs if you want to upload something visual, like real artists do.
Damn you people. Go back to your shanties.
So many of you have joined this subreddit and all you do is hate Alpha Theta. What's the point of this grift? Are you that lonely and pathetic? Why don't you just go and join a subreddit for whatever DJ brand you actually do like, and live let die? Also, many of you are very poor and your self loathing and jealously push you to try to zap the joy others feel in regards to Alpha Theta products, just so it validates a reason to for you stay on this planet just a tad bit longer. The truth is the world would be better if you decided to be a happier and nicer person instead of such a hateful loser.
DJs who use computers with their rigs, how do you beat this accusations? I had my first show and afterwards the guy came up to me and said I looked “erected to be there” and that he wanted see my search history.
How do you avoid these accusations?
I have been a dj in one capacity or another since 2015, when I was just 8 years old. I have perfected my craft in the house music scene, to a point where if you put me up against all of the house DJs in my college town of Kent, Ohio, I believe I’m better in skill and raw talent than everyone else combined.
I’ve spent thousands of dollars and hours over the years in the dj and production landscape, only to receive little to no support on my work.
Right now, I have over 40 dj mixes between YouTube and SoundCloud, over 10 releases over 4 years on major streaming services, and since I was 9, all I’ve ever wanted to do was be a dj professionally.
With all this being said, I’m just about ready to let it all go. Cut my losses, and call it a fun run while I can.
That’s why I’m posting this. I wanna get some feedback from the people here, and see where I could possibly go and/or do to change my trajectory.
This weekend, me and my business partner DJed an 18th birthday party and learned something interesting about what's going on for zoomers.
The party was about 100 people, friends and family of the birthday celebrant, who was turning 18. Multigenerational. Toddlers to grandparents, with lots of aunts and uncles. About 20 teens.
The young folks packed the floor for line dance songs. They were skilled at line dances and knew all the steps to many popular line dance songs.
They left the floor, and older generations were the only ones dancing when "unstructured" dance time was happening, even when the teens themselves had requested the songs and the songs were very danceable.
My assessment is that they don't know how to dance if there is no choreography for them to follow. I believe this is because TikTok has taught this generation that dancing is something that requires a sequence of carefully planned and rehearsed moves. If the floor is free form, they don't know what to do with themselves, and they fear looking "cringe" without choreography to follow.
Hello, I have a 2000 analog mixer. How do I record mix? I want to engage in conversation. Please do not gatekeep. No disrespectful answers, please. Let's be friends. I require credibility.
Piracy is illegal. You do that shit by yourself; in the bathroom, not on the dance floor, and /r/DJsCirclejerk is the dance floor. You get my point?
Do I have to dumb it down any further? I mean, probably. Don't be posting links to www.sketchywebsite.malware, otherwise we will have to take away your weekly state-assigned ketamine supply. Because I swear I will turn this fucking bus around if you drug-fueled degenerates don't behave like at least some sort of semi-sentient human beings capable of following at least 1 rule that otherwise will get the devil himself (Spez) to show up here and turn off the music and the main lights on. And trust me, you don't want to see your sweaty fellow /r/djscirclejerk'er on a drugs-bender in 6000k bright white fluorescent light.
So, be cool. Are you cool?
As DJs, it's morally correct to support the artists we play in our sets. This is especially true if you play alternative music, because many of these artists work regular day jobs alongside making music, so any extra support goes a long way.
Therefore, please refrain from advising people on where or how to download music illegally. AutoModerator will catch it, and we will have to ban you. A first offence results in a one-week ban, and the next one will be permanent. Honestly, consider yourself lucky because it used to be an immediate permanent ban until we agreed that anyone can make a mistake or be unaware of the rules the first time around. That is exactly why I am reiterating this point right now.
Besides the moral aspect, Reddit's Terms of Service (TOS) also strictly forbid it. You don't want to get banned, and we don't want to hand them out, but these are the rules we all have to abide by.
Edit: Ban appeals claiming ignorance will not be accepted. It's in the sidebar, and now it's also right here in this announcement.
Vinyl DJ for 20 years I use a ENS DJ400 rotary. I recently built some custom loud speakers and wanted to do some outdoor gigs, but I didn’t wanna bring my turntables for various obvious reason.
Settled on the xdj-1000s. Got them home and immediately something did not sound right. Like frankly, they sound like shit. The mid frequencies are distorted. The highs and the upper mids are all smashed together the bass sounds poorly compressed.
A/B with a Scarlett sound card from my computer tracks sound perfect in comparison. I then A/B/C from a vinyl record of the exact same file. The record sounds great. A little bit different because of the vinyl mastering. I have to return the 1000s and get some 3000x’s.
All problems fixed. 3000x’s sound almost the same as the sound card input maybe a little more “forward” and better for club music like a good quality DAC should sound. Can’t believe pioneer is selling $1300 items with a poor quality DAC. You can get a pristine AKM chip Topping DAC for $150. Anyways, the 3000x’s are amazing in other ways compared to the cheap feeling 1000s. worth the upgrade? Probably but it’s crazy money.
Traktor user of 12 years here .... I just bought a new AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ and I'm considering sending it back. I've never played on Pioneer gear so this is a new system for me. I've only had it since Thursday.
My complaints:
Too big and heavy to be portable. I also have an ableton rig with keyboard and instruments jammed into my music space, so it leaves me feeling like I need to buy a new, dedicated DJ table for it. :/
I don't like the details of the beat grid compared to what I had in traktor. I have the update that displays all 4 decks.
I've had a hard time recreating some of favorite acapella / track mashups that were so special to me in Traktor.
Feels overpriced when I look at reviews online compared to other units.
I dove into Rekordbox and I understand it, but I honestly miss my manual system of keeping all my songs in folders that were analyzed by KeyFinder. Again, I might just be resisting change.
I am buying this setup with DJ'ing on tik tok in mind as well, so a standalone unit is ideal to alleviate that processing off the computer.
I don't play in clubs or need to be plugged into the Pioneer ecosystem even though I really wanted to be, which is why I bought this unit. lol
I'm considering the Denon Prime 4+ or just going with the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 to stay in the Pioneer ecosystem ( I know it's not standalone.)
Any advice gang?
