What if Alonso had remained with McLaren, Danny or Bettel with Redbull, Lewis with Mercedes, there may be others in the past that may have faced the same choice. What would have had to work for them to win in the team they were in?

Minha mãe, que trabalhava lá como secretária, teve que brigar muito (colocando até o emprego dela em risco) pra que tomassem alguma providência de verdade.
No fim deram uma solução, expulsando o garoto que foi preconceituoso comigo, mas só porque minha mãe não deixou barato e ficou no pé dos diretores e supervisores. Isso me marcou bastante.

Isso ocorreu especialmente no sistema conhecido como convict leasing (arrendamento de prisioneiros), entre o final do século XIX e início do XX.
O convict leasing funcionava assim: estados americanos alugavam presos para empresas privadas, fazendas e minas. Muitos desses presos eram homens negros recém-libertos ou descendentes diretos de escravizados.
As condições frequentemente eram brutais, as vezes até piores do que durante a escravidão formal, porque os empresários não tinham incentivo econômico para preservar a vida dos presos, já que o estado simplesmente mandava outros.
Para muitos historiadores, isso foi literalmente uma transição da escravidão para outra forma de exploração racial legalizada.
Hoje os EUA ainda têm trabalho prisional, encarceramento em massa e prisões privadas lucrando bilhões. Não é difícil entender por que tantos acadêmicos enxergam isso como uma continuação histórica da escravidão.

A Maya provavelmente teria recebido uma fração disso, mas nem isso rolou.
Enfim, fica a frustração. Talentos femininos já têm um caminho absurdamente difícil no automobilismo. Quando uma que entrega resultado consistente é deixada de lado dessa forma, é desanimador pra caralho.

School, parties, family events, streets, constant denigration, mockery, being invisible to women or openly laughed at. Short, dark, awkward, no charisma shield. The classic blackpill stack.
Brazilian society is brutal with colorism and heightism on top of everything. I internalized it all.
Luckily for me, one thing I always liked to do was to study. Here in Brazil, we have national exams for government jobs. I managed to pass at one that was very competitive to join the Brazilian Air Force, merely aged 18. My life did a full 180 when I joined the military.
Put on that shiny uniform and suddenly... women started looking. Some even approaching. The halo was real. For the first time I wasn't completely subhuman in their eyes. It felt like validation, right? Wrong. It only made the blackpill clearer and more painful.
That attention wasn't for me. It was for the uniform, the status, the "protector" image. Take that off and I'm still the same short dark autist they ignored and humiliated for 20+ years. All those years of frustration, loneliness, and degradation don't get deleted.
The memories of being rejected, mocked, and treated like I had no right to even exist romantically are still there. The brain rot is done. The trust issues, the resentment, the feeling that I'm only ever a situational upgrade, they're permanent.
It proves the blackpill more than anything, women don't care about the man inside until the external halo is strong enough. And even then, it's conditional and shallow.
My height, skin tone, neurodivergence and brazilian context put me so low on the totem pole that only something so uminportant as a fucking military uniform could move the needle at all. And it still feels hollow.
Today, I'm 29 years old and not in the military anymore. And the worst part of it all is knowing that without that uniform I'm back to being invisible or a joke.
Decades of damage aren't healed by temporary female interest. If anything it makes it sting worse, you see exactly what you were missing your whole life, and you know it was always there but denied to you because of shit you can't change.
