2025 CPO Nissan Rogue with lifetime warranty?

I’m currently looking for a sub 30K AWD SUV. A Nissan dealership near me has a Rogue SL for sale for 29K.

The car has a lifetime warranty by the dealer and a 84 month/100,000 mile manufacturer warranty too. The car is currently at 30K miles and 12 months so that leaves the manufacturer warranty at 72 months and 70K miles.

I’ve also convinced the dealer to include a CVT fluid replacement before sale with paperwork showing it was done.

The SL does come pretty feature loaded.

Worth biting the bullet?

Pre check validity - expired global entry document

Hey folks!

I have global entry that runs through 2029 and shows as such on the TTP app. I’m on a visa with my I-94 date also through 2029.

However, my visa expired recently and I received an email from CBP asking me to upload my new travel document.

Given the scarcity of visa appointments, I have mine in a few months from now.

But in the current, will I also lose pre check benefits if a global entry document is expired? I travel 2-3 times a week for work and would really like to not go back to standard security.

Drove the car, love the car. Worried about reliability.

I’ve recently test drove the VW Tiguan in the SE-R Line and the SEL-R Line variants. I also got an SE-R line as a rental via Sixt for a few days.

I’m absolutely loving the car in terms of how it drivers and the comfort and the quality of materials.

However, there’s so many posts on reddit and other auto forums from owners of even the 2026 model that talk about how they’ve had the car go into a limp mode in the first few days of delivery or there’s some mechanical issue or some technological issue w the car resulting in it being in the shop for days and weeks.

There’s a crazy deal on VWs in Chicago and I’m saving more with the Costco program. The outright purchase cost is easily 10K cheaper than top trims of CRV and RAV4.

Should I bite the bullet and go for it?

I don’t plan on keeping the car for more than 3-4 years.

2024 Tiguan SEL R-Line CPO worth it?

I’ve been looking up and reading up on the new Tiguan and I feel like there’s been way too many unresolved issues with all models

Because I’m keen on a nice driving German car, I’ve b been scoping out some CPO
Tiguan’s

Based on my understanding, this was the final model year for that gen and should ideally have knocked out all kinks after the years.

Worth going for it?

Chances of getting a remote work exception?

I’m currently an L6 based out of Seattle. My wife is a doctor in Georgia and she doesn’t have flexibility in relocating due to state license restrictions. Long distance really isn’t feasible currently.

My org doesn’t have any presence in ATL under our L10. I’ve asked to relocate to any of the ATL offices around her and they’ve been rejected.

However, a few days ago, my manager put in a request for RWE after speaking to our org team leaders and said they were okay with it.

What are the odds we get this approved all the way up to s-team? I have a feeling my manager and skip are cool with backing this up.

Additionally, if this does move up the chain, how long would the process take?

With the RAV4 wait times, what’s my next best alternative?

I’m looking at these cars and could definitely use recommendations or suggestions

  1. Mazda CX-50 Hybrid - Premium

  2. Honda CRV Hybrid - Sport Touring

  3. Hyundai Tucson Hybrid - SEL Convenience

  4. Kia Sportage Hybrid - EX or X Line

I’m based out of Chicago and weekly would likely drive anywhere between 200-400 miles w.r.t the commute.

I’m looking at being at or below $40,000 for the price of sale before taxes.

If you have an AI bot replying to emails - why provide it with a name?

I was being bombarded with an internet sales consultant at a Mazda dealership. The email signs off with Anna Ingram and when I asked a couple of weirdly phrased questions, the bot accepted that it was a bot after denying it was an AI agent multiple times.

Why give people the illusion that they’re talking to a human?

Trying to show my Italian in-laws a better version of the Indian food

Hey folks!

I’m an Indian guy married to an Italian. Her parents are visiting us in NYC.

I was wondering if there’s any way to get a reservation at Bungalow or Ambassador’s Clubhouse on such short notice?
I’m looking for something on Saturday evening.

Trying to keep it to the fancier Indian food this time.

Did Pop-Up bagel opening up lead to this?

I remember just a few months ago that if I didn’t snatch a bagel in the first two minutes, I wasn’t getting any.

Compared to now, where they seem to always have leftovers later in the day.
