I pick this series up randomly because I couldn’t find any other manga that looked interesting. I know this has a anime which I know the has awful 3d animation at the start. I’ve started with getting the first 3 volumes and wondering if the VIZ translation is good or even better than fan translation. Also yeah awful Logo change the original Japanese logo is killer!
I guess I saw a thumbnail shot of the do ya thang music video on their livestream. Did anything of you catch? Do you have licensees for that song anymore
I don’t know how this started but I’ve seen a lot of post on Astro boy 2003 and this question being repeated why did it fail. A couple of reason why it failed first Astro boy is aimed towards a younger audiences not a teen audiences. The anime tried having a long plot but you jump into it without knowing anything. The last few reasons are personal because the dub completely removed the Japanese music and cropped the aspect ratio. The dub is mixed bag but I have lots of memories watching the dub but man the Japanese just feels like a different show. They tried to make him edgy but that’s not Astro boy he’s a sweet kid who kicks butts and learn lessons. He wasn’t made for teens, He was made for everyone!
Fans disc is back in stock and I know that this won’t guarantee a dub but if we make this sale well we might get more only time will tell

It has to be because of license issues but isn’t the original opening song available on music platforms it’s so weird how they can’t get the license for that song
Like she’s a teen but the fact is that they keep on doing weird close up and zoom in with on her breast and mind you this is a children show is very weird
I know the general consensus is that the viz media blu ray are not great mostly for the fullscreen episodes but I still collect them because I like owning bleach on physical media. I heard the Japanese blu ray look way better but honestly the clips and images I’ve seen it’s looks they smooth out the episdoes with ai to erase the edges which are seen on the viz blu rays. I don’t think the viz blu rays are bad then if that is truly the best image quality we can get someone help my understanding.
So from what I’m hearing is that viz did dub both season of the blue dragon anime but the uncut version never saw a release in the states but in other territories. Cartoon Network aired an edited version which is easy to found but the uncut dub is hard to find. There is YouTube playlist with the uncut dub but my question is how the other episodes were found especially if they didn’t release all the episodes on dvd. Also I know some episodes of the second season for the dub is lost I hope Discotek helps rescue this series!
It’s crazy how we gotten no news on the new movies north America or other localized releases. We will never see this movie in theaters legally in places? I would love to see this in theaters but also would love to see the Miami dub cast which have really improved. That also goes for the other movies that haven’t been officially released hopefully the Netflix release will make the movies release possible
I’m currently reading the manga it’s fun and seen a little bit of the old series but I have never touch 2021 and I heard it’s not good to explain why?
Who would animate it and would it be more popular. Do you think an anime complete without censorship will be remembered more
The MPAA is a mess of a rating any film especially with more blood or language getting a PG-13 but almost 15 years ago rango has a pg rating and is way more mature then a lot of adult animation. Brad bird Ray Gunn movie would be amazing if rated PG it will show yes a movie can be PG rated but also be aimed towards adults while kids can enjoy other parts.
