No AEL position under corporate for our area yet

I looked at some corporate positions and there are none for our area yet. I’m think they’re rolling these out but if in your area you don’t see a position it just might mean they haven’t finalized needs yet.

I deliberately left out my area because I know certain people read these posts.

Next year summer service

First f all I do overthink but I’m wondering about next summer. I usually work because I like to get out of the house and I like to have money.

With these year around employees I am in danger of not being hired. Many of these AEL don’t want to do taxes but they may be put in offices to keep them working 40 hours.

Am I overthinking this and am wrong?

Spiraling

Pardon me for possibly overreacting and spiraling.

Basically they carved up my district. Our office I was told would be going with the former DGM and5 offices going with a different DGM.

But I’m working summer service on the new DGM office. And I’m only getting emails from the new DGM. Plus there has been all kinds of misinformation about which offices are going where. Our office feels like a ping pong ball.

Plus a third DGM sent a welcoming email by mistake and really muddied the waters.

Now the hiring paperwork comes out with only a dollar increase and a . 25 decrease in tpi. The lower levels are getting an increase the higher levels are getting a decrease.

I know this is typical Block way of doing things but it looks like they don’t want us to be in an office.

Sorry to be long winded

Have seasonal income

I work for a tax preparation company for about 6 months of the year the first 4 months I make 95 percent of the income. The rest is social security and pension. How would I account for this because I don’t have that income all year. It also varies year to year. I’m 70 and I have about 5 years left. Right now I can’t even file a 13 because I can’t afford a lawyer. Any suggestions

Timber

A lumberjack went in to a magic forest to cut a tree. Upon arrival, he started to swing at the tree, when it shouted,
"Wait! I'm a talking tree!"

The lumberjack grinned and said:
"And you will dialogue." 🤭

Hey were you charged penalties and interest from 2020-2023. You may be owed those back. But you have to file them by Friday. The govt ruled that because of Covid the irs was not allowed to charge penalties. This is legit.

Randy the painter

Randy, the painter, often thinned his paint to make it go further. The Baptist Church decided to restore its biggest building. Randy put in a low bid and got the job. He bought the paint, and, yes, thinned it with turpentine. Well, Randy was painting away, the job nearly completed, when suddenly there was a clap of thunder. The sky opened, and the rain poured down. It washed the thinned paint off the church. Randy fell from the scaffold, landing among the gravestones. He was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty. Randy raised his voice to the heavens, crying, "Oh, God, forgive me; what should I do?" And from above, a mighty voice roared: “Repaint! Repaint! And thin no more!"

Here’s my conundrum

I was married to my first wife for twelve years. I went on SSDI. Divorced in 1997. Married second wife in 2012 and she passed in 2015.

First wife D wanted me to check to see if I could get 1/2 her SsA. I reached FRA at 67 and 4 months. I’m now 70. D made significantly more money than I did. I know that because I was on SSDI I am not entitled to any more on my account

I don’t think I can get half hers either instead of mine or along with mine. I’ll be honest I don’t really understand this and customer service is not real helpful in explaining.

Can someone please explain what if anything I need to do.
