Anyone else avoid the movie due to the title but ended up loving it?

I'm not a fan of K-pop. While typically I do like TV shows that have supernatural elements, demon hunters, with K-pop had no interest to me at all.

I still don't like Kpop. But I love this movie. I know nothing about K-pop fandom. Which I think is why when I asked what should older K-pop demon hunters call ourselves I got pushback. I guess kpop groups have names for their fans already. But I was not looking for that. I was looking for fans of the movie.

While I did listen to some of the songs by the three singers of KPDH. I'm still not in the kpop bit will watch the movie forever.

I know i cant be alone, right?

Episode 10 season 3

Re-watching for probably the 10th time. This episode is just magical. No notes, just tears.

I will miss this show so much but I will rewatch it forever.

Percentage of aphants

I know it is likely a coincidence. Maybe I'm just attracted to other people that brains work like mine. I'm not very social. I learned about aphantasia in 2015 when I was looking up more ways to improve my memory.

Since I learned about it I talk to everyone I know about it at some point or another. In all that time I can think of at least 10 people who also have aphantasia!

They had no idea until I brought it up then came back and said they looked it up more and talked with other friends and family members and figured out they are aphantastic too.

I wonder if it's a bit like autism, where people know you have it even if you don't know you are autistic and they don't realize it's autism. They just know.

I've also since been diagnosed autistic and ADHD. I got to this diagnosis after seeing aphantasia as a possible indicaror of it on a slidein a presentation made by a psychologist. I went down that rabbithole and ended up with a diagnosis.

I seem to have a radar for it. Makes me think that the numbers might be skewed as most people don't even consider how they think. Kind of like the numbers for autism are skewed because they only looked at boys and men for years and years.

Do you talk about your aphantasia with others and have found more aphantasia that way?

Heathers

Not trying to doxx anyone but growing up, I had as many as three Heathers in my grade one year. I very seldom meet a Heather these days. Jennifer was another one but I definitely still know Jennifers.

Anyhow, I love the name Heather and hope y'all are doing great. (The movie Heathers of course pops into mind and I recall my Heather friends not liking it back then.)

Fun name for 18 & up fans

Spin off from another thread.

Adult fans of KPDH what fun name could we call ourselves as part of the fandom.

Now, me personally I have zero shame sharing my love of the movie with anyone.

The things adults focus on and talk about are gong to be different. Eventually the kids that love it will grow up and join us. This movie is timeless and won't be leaving my house anytime soon.

What should we call ourselves?

Dolmas

I discovered dolmas at a grocery store. I know that there is no way those are the best dolmas out there. I love them and want to learn more and maybe make them at home.

I know I've had them at 'mediterranean' american places. I had seen them on menus, at more authentic restaurants, but wasn't sure that they were vegan and was too embarrassed to ask.

The grocery store allowed me to read the ingredients, which felt safer for me to experience this new food.

I would love it if any of you all would share some authentic recipes or really good sources or tips or the spice blend so I can try to make them at home.

I feel like there's quite a few different countries that make stuffed grape leaves, are they always vegan? I love to hear how these things vary from country to country.

Any of you have a wonderful dolmas recipe or even the scoop on the best brands to buy? The ones I get currently are refrigerated, but I found a tin of dolmas and I'm a little nervous to try them.

If your culture does vegan stuffed grape leaves, please share. Thank you in advance 🥰

Plushie clips

My husband loves the movie as much as me. Whenever he is out and finds merch I'll like, he grabs it for me.

Help death planning

I have stage 4 cancer. I'm doing ok now but trying to make all the arrangements possible so my family doesn't even have to think about it. I want to give them a few options so depending on their mental state they can do what comes best for them.

My main request that I see as a problem is that I want them to let my cats smell my body so they know I am dead. This is VERY important to me.

I am considering water creamation through a funeral home that facilitates it through shipment of my body to another state since we don't do it in Texas.

If I die at home this won't be an issue. I do worry that maybe my husband and kids won't like that though. It could make them have sad memories of a place that they lived almost their entire life.

What other options so I have so that my cats will know I'm gone?

I do plan on talking to my family but also, they probably can't anticipate how they will feel when it happens.

We are not religious, I don't plan on having a viewing, I didn't want to be involved but seems like I might have to with TX laws.

I have to have general anesthesia for MRIs and nitrous when I go to the dentist. I have probably 2 MRIs a year and the dentist at least 4 times but probably about 8 times by the time this year is over😭

Does anyone specialize or understand how these devices for anesthesia may or may not help with lower transmission probability.

I use my flimask waiting in both places and only take it off when I have to and am promptly hooked up to the anesthesia sessions. The dentists and HCW for the MRI all wear surgical masks because I have them put that on my file.

Anyone have any leads on science or insight on this topic?
