Firstly I just want to say thank you for the work you all do I'm after your thoughts and honest advice

My wife is looking to leave her finance career and become a midwife. Our family is mostly nurses, doctors, paramedics etc.

Our daughter was stillborn about 8 years ago this is probably her main driver behind it. And wanting to do something meaningful and important

Financially and home life etc we can manage. The bit where I worry she is underplaying, is how would she manage if she actually has a stillbirth case? Or if something goes really wrong, a mother dies, or there's a complaint or NMC referral.

I find it really difficult even now and leaving work at work and going home is really difficult sometimes.

She has generalised anxiety and I know everyday tasks she caN struggle with eg calling someone she doesn't know or about something she isn't aware of.

We're not naive to the rates of baby loss, but what about the other things? Complaints, NMC stuff, inquests etc. is that even something that happens in someone's career?

I worry that a wait for an inquest, solicitors/barristers cross examining etc would really takes it toll on her.

So any advice welcome.
