I am from a tier 1 undergraduate engineering college graduate in 2020. I got a PPO from a big tech firm that I continued from 2020 to end of 2024. Post the burnout in the firm I decided to quit, and pursue my MBA, gave GRE, IELTS, filled many applications - got 2 T15 colleges in R3 with no scholarship. The total fees turned out to be 2cr+ which seemed too much for a loan, given the H1B crisis in 2025. I have around 5YOE.

Amidst all this I was working with my best friend's startup who eventually wanted me to get in as CTO. However soon enough my dad passed away, untimely and suddenly. For the next many months, I was just running around like a headless clueless chicken as the only son, getting work done - financial, government, etc. Life had gotten really tough. It's better now but I still question my purpose.

I did happen to work with a startup on freelance basis for a while, and also managed to get a call from a top IIM, but life hasn't been working out after.

I am unable to get calls through applying for jobs, my past experience has been in backend - java, spring boot, and I was really good - getting awards and what not. It's definitely a little rusty, and the DSA is even rustier.

I've bombed a couple of interviews, and sometimes find it overwhelming given I've been an intellectual guy all my life, and this is getting to me.

Need genuine advice, please.
Need referrals too. Don't want my mind wandering without a job.

Hi! This is regarding the transfer of ekhata in case of a deceased case - My (late) father and mother, to mine and my mother's names.

3 months ago we approached the TMC for the transfer, they took all the documents and gave no acknowledgement. However they did provide the sakala number 2 months later, 28 days later after it, the ekhata was ready.

Now the problem is, the officials do not want to meet in the office for me collecting the ekhata - they are asking me to meet somewhere outside. I do not want to do it - for my mother's safety and bribe does not seem right to me at all when the question is my father's untimely death. The expectation is 10k+ as a I heard from a neighbour. And that is the going rate.

When the ekhata was here - I paid the amount shown on eAasthi site, however it didn't download no matter what. On contacting helpline they told me that this problem has started since 6 months ago, and I can instead take the challan number generated to the TMC itself. Now what do i do?

Last year I tried really hard to get a moshpit going in GA for Bloodywood and LP. Everyone was initially down during the camp, but once the show started, people just went back to standing around, recording, and trying to push closer to the stage while being cramped up.

Like bro, where’s the energy? It’s a rock/metal gig, not a filming session. I've seen the Argentina clips of LB, although that's utopia for us metalheads, I hope there's some energy this time. Moshing is literally admiration for the art. I see too much concern for moving a metre ahead in the crowd for a better video than just enjoying the gig for how it should be.

If pits happen and I'm unaware of it, Do they generally happen in GA, or is VIP a better bet?

Hi folks, I've been trekking seriously only since the last couple of years. I live in Bangalore and do small hikes every now and then. I love trail running and participate in runs too.

I want your advice on the following-

I do treks so that I can capture the story and mountains, the view etc around me.
I've done the following Himalayan treks among other smaller hikes as exploration (eg Jogini, Sissu waterfall etc) -

- Beas Kund 2012 - 1 day - don't remember much
- Rising Star Hill 2012 - 1 day - don't remember much
- Bhrigu Lake 2021 local operator - 2 days, good scenic capture of the Pir Panjal/Spiti ranges.
- Pangarchulla Summit and Kuari pass 2023 TTH - 7 days to capture the Nanda Devi, and probably still the toughest trek ive done.
- Annapurna BC 2024 TTH - 9 days - Wanted to see the deadliest mountain upclose.
- KGL 2024 - Bikat - 8 days - For the views.

I do not like overcrowding in treks because it brings in all kinds of people, including the ones that are not very cautious or savouring of nature. I find music on treks disturbing, for example. Could you please suggest me some treks or trail runs that can I should be doing?

Some in my bucket list are - Goecha La, Auden's Col, Bali Pass, Mt. Deo Tibba, Hamta pass (but too crowded as ive heard now), KangYatse1&2, EBC, Annapurna Circuit, Manaslu Circuit. Apart from these multi day treks, I'm interested in day hikes in and around Ladakh/Manali. Covered most day hikes in Bangalore.

All exits and entries to the highway are flooded and there's hours of queue, cross traffic and detours causing all sorts of chaos, some cars are stuck in the water. Rained like cats and dogs and there's water with tons of trash blocked everywhere.

As a childhood owner of hero razorback, it's overwhelming to see the variety that the market brings. I live in Bengaluru and my commute and rides will mostly be on roads and highways, and very rarely some trails. Can someone suggest cycles for it? Need a long lasting cycle. I am heavily into running and strength and want to pursue the Ironman 70.3 next year. Please advise.
Im unaware of the budgets, i know it goes from 5k to even lakhs. I can afford to spend 20-50k range i think, can only push a little further/
