What are all of the responsibilities that assistant managers have?

Thinking about applying somewhere else and I need a list of responsibilities. So far I have:

Stocking

Cashiering

Recovery

Unloading truck

Checking in deliveries

Opening and Closing store

Handling safe

Preparing the deposit and taking it to the bank

What else?

Back rooms movie question.

Ok so remember that first dude that went down the hole and got snatched up?

I heard from someone that the entity that got him was a giant rat, because earlier on in the movie Clark mentions how they have a giant rat in the basement or something. And they said once Clark and other girl fall down the hole you can see it’s tail as it is leaving, and I saw that but I thought that was just the rope tied to the guy getting pulled in. so was it a rat or nah?

Daily Pay is holding me hostage.

I am trying to close my daily pay account and just receive normal paychecks through direct deposit to my bank.

I transferred all of my money out of it, then cancelled my account, but I have to wait until 1-2 pay periods for it to fully cancel and it says I will still be getting paid with DailyPay until then.

So yesterday I worked, and I got a notification from dailypay saying my balance went up, was confused cause I cancelled my account and then I see this, this 55.53 was added AFTER I selected to cancel my account, and it says restore my account to get it?

So are they gonna hold 2 pay periods worth of my pay hostage unless I return to them? how is this allowed?

I wanna hear some positive dollar tree job experiences.

I‘m a stocker that became assistant manager. Like don’t get me wrong my pay sucks and this job is dead end, but everyone at my work is so nice, we get everything done as a team very well, we never struggle or get backed up, etc

And as a stocker or assistant manager the job is awesome to me, I can just stock, recover, listen to music, etc it‘s like a gym membership that pays me Instead.

Are these major sanitation violations?

When we take the trash out, we load the garbage onto the u-boats, and our bags are cheap and flimsy, + we have to take the bathroom trash out.

So we have basically had spoiled garbage juice, urine, and fecal matter on every u-boat we have, and we have never once been instructed to clean them or disinfect.

And guess what goes on these u-boats? Food. And you might say “Well they are in boxes sealed up so it’s fine, but whoever is stocking your food is going to have their hands on those boxes, then their hands on the food.

There have been bags filled with shit covered toilet paper on the same u-boats that we put food on and we have never cleaned them.

Nasty U-Boats and grossness can anyone relate?

I am closing assistant manager sometimes and when I change the trash I load it into an empty u-boat so the opening manager can take it out.

But our trash bags our cheap as hell, and people will load the bathroom trashbags that have shit covered toilet paper in them onto the u-boats, I try to always put them in a small box so they can just be tossed easily but others do not. And you already know with our trash bags being thin and cheap, our bathroom trash cans being used for years, then those bags going onto those u-boats that we load food,freezer/fridge, snacks, candy, etc….. yeah it’s pretty nasty.

$1 cereal cups and bags. Try putting them in a cart at the front of the store.

Like literally all of those cups and baggies of lucky charms, cheerios, etc that went to $1 you need to shove them all into a cart, roll them to the front, then print out a sign that says “Cereal $1”

All of our cereal was just sitting not being bought but then our other manager came up with this idea and we went from not being able to stock it to it selling out fast as hell, and it makes things so easy cause we can just dump the boxes into a cart.

This should be standard at every store because it is working super well, and our SM and DM think it is completely fine. We have had full carts of these cereals getting bought up within days whereas they would usually just sit and expire.

How the heck do I do a freezer reset when we have tons of stuff that is no longer on the layout?

Freezer reset is due by June 16th, so I went ahead and started on it today, replaced every single shelf strip and pasted all of the door layouts onto the doors.

But we cannot get they layout right because we have entire shelves in the freezer being taken by things that are no longer on the layout like we literally have 2 whole shelves filled with 63 cent celeste pizzas and 2.50 tapatio frozen meals and people still don’t buy them so I just can’t finish the reset until they are gone.

And our freezer is already crammed full and we are getting 2 freezer trucks within the next 9 days instead of our usual 1 truck, it‘a going to be a disaster idk what to do.

Why does this glitch happen and how is it not fixed yet?

Context: Gladiators weapon is floating and it stays like this the entire match.

I’m tired of these dumplings. Why are you gonna advertise like this but not even keep them in stock?

I’m tired of dealing with 10+ customers asking about these stupid dumplings then treating me like shit cause we have none left. I make $11 an hour i don’t control the flow of product into our store some people are just so ridiculous

Do banks scan through bills and coins to try and find the oldest and most valuable ones to resell?

I work retail and sometimes we get some super old currency that might be worth something so we buy it out with our own money and keep it.

Then I thought it would probably be pretty profitable if banks did this and re-sold the valuable currency to collectors or what not. So do they?

Do you like receiving unconventional currency?(1$ coins, $2 bills, etc)

I think they are cool so if someone pays with this at my job I usually buy them out and keep them but does it make retail workers jobs more annoying when I pay with these?
