Turning 25 tomorrow. Feeling sad and grateful at the same time.
I’m very grateful I’m living a healthy life. So many young people don’t get to experience their 25th birthday anymore. At the same time I feel so sad and anxious about how fast time passes. I remember waking up on my 7th birthday so excited like it was yesterday. Now I’m 1/4 century old.
To those who do YT full time, how long did it take you to get there?
Additionally, is there any advice you have or something you wish you knew before?
Decided to stop obsessing over analytics. What about you?
We all know how it goes. Upload video and constantly check the studio app. What I’ll do from now on is create, upload and go back to creating. It kinda takes away the joy of creating to just look at numbers. I’ve recently got monetized and now I just want to fully focus on what I create and have fun with it and not stress about numbers (ofc I’m gonna check the overall performance to see what’s working and what’s not, but not constantly!)
How do you approach this?
Bad video performance after monetization?
I’m probably just jumping to conclusions here because I’m mildly frustrated, but my views since I got monetized have been SO low even though I didn’t change anything. Has anyone noticed this before or is it just bad timing?
How is your channel doing now compared to a year ago?
I was just thinking where I would like to be on my YouTuber journey a year from now and was curious to hear about everyone’s one year progress!
Reviving old channel - Update!
After a two year break I decided to return to YouTube but just expected the channel to be dead. I posted consistently for the last two months and well, I just applied to the partner program!
So if you’re in the same situation and unsure whether to revive or start a new channel at least give it a try and be a little patient.
What’s your sub count and average views?
I know sub count nowadays it’s not that important anymore, but I’m curious anyway!
How long did the YPP application take to process for you?
Just applied after hitting 3k watch hours but at this rate I’ll probably have the 4k when it’s approved with how slow it is lol
I’m a newbie and need help!
So I don’t know much about microphones but for content creation I wanted to buy a specific one (3Dio) and have this question: Will a 4 year old microphone that was only used a few times without any damage still sound as good as a newer one? I have the chance to buy one second hand for half the price and was wondering how it works with microphones and their lifetime when they’re not in use.
Thanks in advance!
Watch Hour Progress Bar Gone
Ok maybe I’m dumb but I just reached 3k watch hours and applied for the Partner Program. Now I have the issue that the progress bar on that tab is gone because the application is in progress. I know I can check watch hours on analytics but it was always a different number than then one on the bar and now I have no idea how close I’m actually to the 4k. Anyone know a way to see it elsewhere?😅
Investing into my channel too early?
Hi everyone, I have a small ASMR channel with 2,7k subs averaging 1,5k views. I’m not monetized yet because I took a break and need to get my watch hours up again but I’m 2/3 there. I’m very consistent with my uploads and truly enjoy creating. If you’re familiar with this niche you might know about the 3Dio microphone and I’m thinking about buying one because it would be perfect for my type of content. It would be around 500€ but I think it could definitely help to get that little push. I’m just not sure because the channel is still very small. What do you guys think about early investments?
Wrong nutritional value?
Pretty sure pumpkin usually has around 40 calories per 100 grams. Is this a mistake?
Does repeating “Winner Videos” get repetitive and boring for viewers?
I’ve read many times now if you have a video that does good try to remake it with similar thumbnails and titles. I mean it makes total sense sticking to what’s working, but doesn’t it get boring? For example I’m in the ASMR niche and my Close Whisper videos do good usually while more creative videos do worse. Should I just keep doing this kind of content until my audience is big enough to try some other directions?
Need help with my Shorts strategy!
So far I only post long form videos, ASMR to be specific. I tried to create shorts out of those videos but since they focus much on relaxation and have a slower pace they’re not really made for short content, judging from the views and analytics. I think a better approach would be to create standalone videos that are more interesting to the shorts audience. I’m just a little worried that the vibe will be different to my main content. What do you think would be the best way to do this?
How do 10 of 10 videos make you feel?
Uploading a video you put effort into just to “flop” is pretty annoying . Does it usually frustrate you a lot or rather motivate you to improve and push harder?
Is posting shorts worth it?
So far I’ve only been posting long form videos 3 times a week. Growth is slow but steady. Technically I have so many possible shorts I could get out of my videos and of course create them too but for some reason I haven’t done it yet. Maybe it’s because I read that it’s two separate audiences and short viewers don’t really care about long form.
What’s your experience? Is it worth it or not?
Is it good to post often as a small channel?
I post 3 long form videos a week, usually Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. On another post I saw someone say that there should be more time in between long form uploads so they don’t compete against each other. Is that true or nonsense? I currently like my schedule but of course don’t want to hurt any videos
Different Style for Shorts and Long Form Videos
For context my Long Form content has a more cinematic style filmed with a professional camera and dark background. For my shorts I want to do more “fun” and casual stuff just filming on my phone in my living room. I know short and long form audience are basically two different audiences, so do you think it’s fine if I take this approach where the production style is not the same?
How important is the video description?
Is a detailed description with key words actually helpful? Have you ever noticed a difference if you left it out? I usually give a little more detailed description of my title and maybe timestamps, that’s it.
