Just turned 15 about 3 days ago, i really want to grow portuclea oleacea and a heirloom okra variety!
Hello, for context i really like plants and i do a bunch of foraging myself, teas, salads, cooking, etc. I live in horry sc
Plants here are portuclea oleacea, stachys floridana, and prunella vulgaris.
I cannot grow these spefific two in a yard, they would be mowed unfortunately
So, what pots should i get? Im growing the two seperately. Just normal purslane and the star of david okra, both plants seems to love it here. Tips qould be highly appreciated, i feel both plants need full sun, what else?
I wanted to use a glazed terracotta pot, but i am not sure, another question. How could i personalize the pots? I was thinking of decorative, benefical mulch, an example could be placing smooth river rocks near okra to stabilize the long, wiry stalk and provide calcium.
Thanks guys !! I also have wild purslane outside if i can propagate them. :)
