Just turned 15 about 3 days ago, i really want to grow portuclea oleacea and a heirloom okra variety!

Hello, for context i really like plants and i do a bunch of foraging myself, teas, salads, cooking, etc. I live in horry sc

Plants here are portuclea oleacea, stachys floridana, and prunella vulgaris.

I cannot grow these spefific two in a yard, they would be mowed unfortunately

So, what pots should i get? Im growing the two seperately. Just normal purslane and the star of david okra, both plants seems to love it here. Tips qould be highly appreciated, i feel both plants need full sun, what else?

I wanted to use a glazed terracotta pot, but i am not sure, another question. How could i personalize the pots? I was thinking of decorative, benefical mulch, an example could be placing smooth river rocks near okra to stabilize the long, wiry stalk and provide calcium.

Thanks guys !! I also have wild purslane outside if i can propagate them. :)

I turned 15 three days ago, reading articles, deeply worried..

Starting small, i have not touched or fully drunk an actual plastic water bottle in months. And i have been drinking only water since november, yay!

I love botany, so a good lot of my nutrition has actually came from it, in return it also forced me to learm how to cook a few months back.

I actively engage with the reuse, repair, recycle slogan. I am selling things i do not need anymore, and i never overconsume, i believe it is just extra clutter.

I look for and only buy high quality items, i only secondhand shop, but i havent bought any clothes in months. I am also looking in to this beautiful, awesome car.. the scion IQ.

I am so worried about our planet, i plan to start sourcing only from local foraging and farms, i live in SC so it is even easier.

I know that this is barely a drop in the bucket, can i vote? What can i support? How can i support? As i grow and i am finally released from the grasp of having to live in a modern, mentally unwell american household.. i feel it will only get BETTER.

Selling these games, first-time seller, what do i need to know?

Selling them for 45 ~ 50, what do i need to know? I am making the buyers pay shipping. How can i package and where can i get the rations? I wanted a sustainable alternative to bubble wrap. I already have locations figured out. Thanks, guys !!

14. I think i have finally had it with foster parent of 8 years.

She is horrible, she is 67

She is always mad aggresive. Today, i was calling a friend late at night, you know, teenager stuff! She opens the door and immediantly starts being aggresive, as i said i wouldve preferred simple kindness but she is too simple-minded for that concept

For reference, she has threatened to physically assault me before and has. Shes been saying she would off herself recently, she lost a cord/someone took it and she said said someones life will be lost. And when she came back she tried to reroute it and say it was her.

She has gotten mad with me for the most stupdiest shit on planet earth. Oh, showering in the dark with a nightlight because it is comfortable? Yelled at me ans it took me several montjs to convince her that its not bad. She got aggresive because i took sheets out of my drawer to fold my clothes in, MAD because i cook for myself, etc.

As you can tell, she also likes to threaten to break my phone and stuff. I was going to say something but i realized whatever i wouldve said probably was enough for her to break it, so i stayed astute.

I have been trying to be as mature and polite as responsible, and she cannot mirror that energy? I dont know what to do. She always complains about how i am on my phone and whatnot. I forage, i do botany, damn it i do art, biology, tennis, and iyet i am seen as a chud to her.

I think i am fuming with rage, 67 year old cannot handle common, positive criticism on text. This is unbearable, if you all have further questions, do not be afraid to ask!

Purslane :)

Peefee region of SC. 14, how could i find a way to have a running supply of both portuclea oleacea and okra? Both love south carolina, but how could i establish both? I am going have to use pors because thats why ourslane is only growing in one spot, anyway. My foster mother keeps mpwing it all down and its annoying. I dont think she'll stop so, any ideas are welcome

I am going to go see a dermatolo. Tips?

14

I have been dealing with this for too long. I have tried amlactin, urea 10% and 40%, etc. (I used raw ghanian shea butter so this mightve actually contributed to the issue.) No oozing, bleeding or cracking. I remember rubbing my forehead with a white tshirt and this black, stuff came off. Like dirt. I hope i dont have ichythsois vulgaris. Nothing permanent, i hope.

I dropped rae ghanian shea butter until my skn looks normal again, i am completely defeated.

In the past, i used to have long intervals of swimming in chlorinated pools, my skn was nearly WHITE. Hot showers, scented soaps, probably more, it was horrible. I was not even practicing washing my hair or anything, i was terribly misguided.

Obviously i do everything as i should, but nothing has really done anything, so its entitely on the derma what'll happen. Should i show them these pictures or how i feel? I just want clear skn. I have cooked and still make awesome meals frequently for myself, drinking lots of water and nothing works.

I am currently only using the only lotion i have at hand right now; cetaphil moisturizing lotion. Dab the towel so i am damp but not dry and moisturize, thats it.

14, got access to a forest. But, as common as it is in SC, dumpings at openings. Last slide is what i have cleaned so far!

I never litter, this is a disgusting sight, how you can be so cruel to the very land that supplements you. What do i need to clean this up? Does anyone have any tips? I might repurpose the glass bottles, they are perfectly intact!

[US] Unknown buyer used my prepaid card for useless things, pretry devasted.

Fourteen, i usually do like to save my money, avoid trends and aspire for items of higher quality. I love having things i can rely on, that is why i had it for long, so i could find something. I went online today to finally use, i am quite suprised.

I know this is not a lot of money at all compared to the more drastic numerals the adults here may have, i do not know how i got ahold of this.

I actively avoid and always look out for sketchy websites or anything like that, i was hoping that in the end i could buy myself some wadrobe pieces and a tool for foraging. I did file a report and the currency is on hold, but for now i really dont know what to do

Sorry i crossed out me addy

Peedee region of SC, not an ID but rather my showcasings of the fungi i found :)

I am 14, and i started in late january. Recently, i got access to a mixed pine and hardwood forest, and i LOVE it. So much moss, bracken ferns, and even an opening that lets sun in! Though its just dog fennel and native grasses, i am so happy i got to see this many fungi.

Disclaimer, i did not touch or eat any of the fungi. I am not that stupid. But this is a beautifuk accessible forest only a minute or two away, that i can walk to with ease. I wonder if i can find any awesome chanterelles??

u/No_Pangolin6790 — 28 days ago

Is this persimmon ??

I am very content, i got per-SIMMON to forage in this mixed pine and hardwood forest. It is so lovely, i have been seeing lots of russula mushrooms, amanita. Though those are not the species i want to EAT. Near a beautiful sunny opening in the forest, it is calm and beautiful here.

If this is persimmon, i am going to make a toner out of it, find the mother/father and wait for the fruit!

Did i come across persimmon..? Peedee region of sc

Day 3 of exploring this forest, i am trying to just remember areas and whatnot. So far, i have seen lota of mushrooms, ferns, something is telling me, when the time is right.. a massive chanterelle goldmine.

Is this persimmon? Its got the common black fungus, and i found a small breeding ground of what seems to be saplings. Could someone identify if this is persimmon or not? Growing in a relatively open area

Foraging in a mixed pine and hardwood forest, SC. Is this a young persimmon?

I only got one picture of it, i am sorry. It was in what seems to be an area gaining lots of sunlightt with no trees blocking it. Very beautiful!

What is this healthy little thing? Peedee region of sc.

I dont know what it is, but its so, so COOL. Itw unlike anything ive seen before. Even in my own backyard forest! I first thought it was a carnivorious species, but i remembered they mostly grow close to wetlands. I was told i should transplant it but i want to let you guys see it first.

What should i use? Kp, scaly, hyperpigmentation(?)

What products should i try? I used 40% urea, 10% urea, amlactin, nothing worked.

So, as a soap bar.. i want to use the cerave salicyic acid cleanser bar. What else should i try? If it helps, i have been getting reccomendations on eucerin advanced repair, physical exfoliation, could someone give products that could assist me? Thank you!

Currently using palmers and raw shea butter, i ran out of everyrhing else and until then i will be waiting for answers, again.. thank you!
