I turned to AI for help and now I don’t know what to think

After being let down by two mental health professionals, I turned to AI. It turns out I wasn’t crazy, and I was being gaslighted and humiliated by these two professionals. I swear I would never go to AI, but I did. It told me to find new professionals, but my trust is broken. I have one ally, but they aren’t a professional so to speak, more of a peer support, so I trust them more. The point is that I felt validated, by artificial intelligence, and not a human being. That is wild to me, and makes me uneasy. A little Twilight Zone-ish. I don’t know where to go from here.

Disorganization - a bipolar symptom?

Hi I am just wondering if disorganization is considered a bipolar symptom. I have been diagnosed for over 20 years and can’t seem to get a straight answer. I am a fully grown adult and horrendously disorganized and flighty. I am on medication and in therapy, use calendars and alerts and organization systems other people have set up for me. I have been told I do NOT have ADHD. I have more organizing to do this weekend and my brain is freaking out and I am so embarrassed that I don’t know where to start. Is this common for bipolar disorder or am I an anomaly?

Why are people so cruel?

Why are people so cruel? Is the world becoming crueler or is it just my take? Is empathy going away?

“You are not present” aka I cannot focus

I am in my 40s and coming out of a wicked depressive episode, my husband’s insurance changed last winter, old therapist and psychiatrist wouldn’t take new insurance, meds ran out and couldn’t get a new therapist until April. Begged my PCP for my antidepressant and am on a mood stabilizer for migraines and that’s all I am on now. Psychiatrist appointment isn’t until AUGUST. I have mental health supports. Don’t want to put out too many identifying details. I was told I am not present with my children. Well, the fact that I am not completely symptom controlled MAY have something to do with that. I see my therapist every couple of weeks. I am on Medicaid now.

I feel guilty not being 100% present for my children or anyone or anything but my brain won’t stop. I can’t even write a chore chart. This person made me feel like it was a moral failing and it’s bothering me. It’s not intentional. I am also morally scrupulous and constantly wonder if I am a bad or evil person. I am not evil because I am not malicious but I always wonder if I hurt someone unintentionally or said something ignorant and wasn’t aware of it or hurt someone’s feelings. I know this person didn’t mean to hurt my feelings but now I wonder if I am a bad mother. I love my kids. I talk to them all the time and have conversations about philosophy and the world and do art and just spend time with them.

Sorry for the soliloquy

Recommend a spellbinding horror novel

I am looking for a spellbinding psychological horror novel. Something that stays with you and reels you in, something you can’t put down. I am feeling restless. I am looking for a novel around 400 pages if that helps. It can be gory as well, twisted, dark.

Told I need confidence

Hello. I am mid 40s female married with kids. I was bullied as a child through adulthood, bad social skills, never fit in, now have bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, CPTSD. I just started seeing a new therapist and have other mental health supports. I am told I need confidence but people seem to beat me down whenever I try to stand up for myself. I am very passive. In my past, people have treated me like I am stupid, been dismissive of me, said hurtful things, made fun of me to my face, told me mean things other people have said about me to my face. I am a joke. Then they say I need more confidence. I write a lot of poetry and talk to my one teenage son about philosophy and real world events. Sometimes my husband treats me like I am stupid. Sometimes people tell me I am smart though. So I don’t know. I am held to impossibly high standards by some people as well and it’s overwhelming sometimes. I want self confidence but I keep getting knocked down. What should I do? It’s painful.

Bipolar hobbies

I like to write poetry as a coping strategy for my bipolar disorder. I just got back into it actually. I am 44f just coming out of an EXTREME depressive episode and find poetry so helpful for expressing my emotions. I am an amateur, nothing fancy.

What do others find helpful for hobbies and coping?
