Has anyone with a 718 S installed the 3rd radiator? If so, could you provide details about the components, work and cost involved.

I want to settle a friendly argument with my friend. I say that a track car will be better for the transmission/engine since it may get looked at after more...he says the opposite and that the Cayman or any car would rather be better used as a daily.

I understand you can't get much out of the flat-6 but I'm exploring installing an IPD intake plenum, an 82mm GT3 throttle body, BMC high-flow air filters, and Soul Performance long-tube exhaust headers with a Cobb accessport engine/pdk tune.

I'm looking to purchase a used 718 that supposedly had a repair done at a Porsche dealership by the previous owner. The Carfax entry of the repair is listed as "wiring repaired". I called the Porsche that did the repair but they won't say what it entailed and there's no way to contact the previous owner.

Have any of you with current Caymans or Porsches ever decided to purchase the vehicle with these types of repairs?

I'm seeing quite a few posts of people buying Caymans or Porsches.

For those of you still looking to buy either a Cayman or a Porsche or have bought one already, have the current gas prices made you rethink buying one altogether?

I'm in the market for a Cayman. I can afford whichever model/year no problem but every time I find one that seems worth it to me, I start reconsidering whether it's smart to drop that kind of money considering the current global affairs and gas prices. But then again, I miss my 981 GTS that I sold last fall knowing that shit would hit the fan this spring.

Just wanted to hear everyone's take.

Which is more DIY friendly, the 981 or the 718? I'm in the market for either a 2015-16 or 2018-19 GTS
