I have two huskies and need your BEST vacuum recs!

We have a somewhat large house, two huskies who shed like it’s their job, and hardwood downstairs/carpet upstairs. We have a Dyson v15 right now but we’ve had it for years and it’s time for a new vacuum. I definitely love how convenient it is to use but we constantly have to empty when hitting the carpet; at least 6-8 times. I have no budget restrictions, please let me know what you think is worth the money!

Managers, what are you looking for when meeting with an employee interested in an internal transfer?

I have three meetings with hiring managers for roles I’m interested in. Starting them tomorrow and working on prep tonight. Would greatly appreciate and tips!

Computer quarantined. What to expect?

I work in a non-tech role and, as I’m sure you all know, there is a big push for us to create and solve problems with AI systems. My team has been making dashboards that are locally hosted using an AI system, and our leadership has asked if there is a way that we can centralize them and make them shareable utilities. Last week I was able to figure out a way to do this being guided by the AI system to set up an AWS cloud server. Long story short, it was way over my head in terms of understanding everything I was actually doing, but I did get it to work based on the guidance of the AI that I was using. I just got notified that my device has been quarantined and I need to turn my computer into IT. I am internally freaking out a little bit because I’ve never dealt with something like this before
and was genuinely trying to solve a work related problem so I have no idea what to expect. Can anyone offer some insight or expectations of what might happen?

Edit: still not too sure what the issue actually is but it’s been tagged with malware in the ticket.

I just bought my first whoop device this week. Thoughts.

I saw MKBHD’s video discussing whoop and the new Fitbit. I thought both options looked decent but what finally sold me on whoop was the fact that it could be delivered same day via Amazon. That’s all, that was my deciding factor.

I’m now nearing the end of my first week using it and all I can say is the data is powerful and making me want to be healthier. I’m 29, ex military now working in big tech and I’m in the worst shape I ever have been. I’m skinny fat and unhappy with my body. The level of data I’m getting from whoop is making me want to drink less, go to bed earlier, and eat healthier.

I’ve had thoughts of trying out the Fitbit the entire week because it’s so much cheaper but I just checked the sub over there and it’s an absolute dumpster fire. I see people on here complaining about whoop and the changes they’ve made but I’m completely ignorant to that because I’m a brand new user. However, the uproar and unhappiness in the Fitbit sub seems way worse than what I’m seeing here.

Yes, the Fitbit is smaller but the app and data seems to be objectively worse. Who cares about the form factor if the data doesn’t make you want to be healthier? That’s the metric I have paid most attention to. I’ve been with Oura the past two years and I barely pay attention to it. Whoop is the first fitness tracker where the level of data granularity actually has me thinking.

That’s all, just my two cents!

A lot of people requested a before and after.

Posted months ago and had this finally redone. Big improvement in my book.
