Is this too thoughtful, not thoughtful enough, or a good gift idea?
So I'm broke, I really don't have any money to spend on a leaving gift for a co-worker.
I know she loves bats and astronomy so my idea is to make an origami bat hanging decoration on galaxy print origami paper and fold some wish stars to decorate the string it hangs from.
How would you feel if someone made you this as a gift? (The bat is super cute).
The opposite of stealth camping!
I don't mind if people see my setup, especially if I've had to spend 2 hours cleaning up litter and broken glass just to stay there. I always leave an area nicer than I found it and don't see the harm wild camping. I used to believe so strongly in stealth, low lighting, camo tarp, invisible guy lines. Now I don't care anymore, I'd rather be seen and avoided than have people blunder into my camp because they don't even know I'm there.
I polished this rough aquamarine with my trusty bench grinder!
I polish random rocks and I've spent next to nothing on my setup.
Bench grinder, found it left for scrap so free. Diamond disks £15, shank to connect them £8.
This is hard work!!!
Wow! Doesn't it just get exhausting? Laser, IPL, looking after yourself, working out, jewelry, outfits......
This is genuinely work, it's worth it, but damn it's a grind.
I made a labradorite and larvikite bracelet.
It's a bit rough but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Opened my eyes to the most stunning sunrise!
Two days of wild camping in the peak district, first night on win hill, then at the base of kinder scout. Absolutely stunning weather, fantastic views, and surprisingly good food. Covered 26 miles in total, did win hill, loose hill, back tor, mam tor, lords seat, Russhop edge, then onto the kinder plateau and back to Ladybower.
It's 4:20 am, a broken emergency radio / speaker just woke the whole house up while I'm at work.
The speaker is completely unresponsive and stuck in SoS mode, my partner just called me and I honestly thought there was an ambulance at the house! It's loud! She's currently trying to drown it in the sink because it's quieter under water.

Smashing it with a hammer was unsuccessful, bashing it with a rock failed, and it's too loud to open up and rip the wires out of the speakers.

I thought it was hilarious and laughed until I cried, the missus is mildly infuriated to say the least.
Brilliant kayak camp with the young n' on the canal!
16 miles paddling with overnight camping. We packed incredibly light, no creature comforts. Foam roll mats, a bug net, and sleeping bags. Didn't even have room for a pillow. The kiddo absolutely loved it though, 10/10 we'll be doing this again.
What's your favourite crystals to carry at the moment?
Mine are always changing. Today I've got rainbow lattice sunstone, a pink sapphire, some charoite, and a tiny bottle of sand from my favourite beach.
Would anyone be willing to help me get the Wraith?
I'm on xbox so I unfortunately can't use save editors.
The caves in Ardeche are stunning!

This was meant to be slow!
So, honestly I was prepared for gradual changes... I'd actually accepted it and convinced myself it was a good thing.

Nope, 4 months in and I've actually got boobs! I've had to rethink my wardrobe because they're very obvious. I have to wear a bra when they're too heavy or doing my head in, bouncing around. I've gone from flat flat to an A cup, borderline B! (They're flippin brilliant too btw, having boobs just absolutely rocks, I love them).

My arm and leg hair has turned thin and somehow blonde and soft instead of coarse dark hair. I used ipl on my body hair and it just didn't come back after 4 sessions so I'm silky smooth all over. The only thing letting me down is my facial hair. Turns out I got an amazing deal on full face and neck laser hair removal, £420 for 10 sessions, so in 9 months that's gonna be a thing of the past.

The craziest thing‽ My stomach got flatter! Now my abs are defined, and I've actually put on lean muscle while taking E! I can't flippin explain it, I was expecting weakness and fatigue but I've got endurance for days and am genuinely stronger than ever. My ass has always been peachy but somehow because my legs and hips are more defined it looks better than ever. My girlfriend actually described me as "slinky" when I got out of the shower which is such a compliment.

Brain fog? Completely gone too, my memory is sharper than ever and my anxiety is just gone too. These changes are absolutely wild!

I'm not bragging or anything, I just had to share! I'm just completely blown away and had to gush to someone, literally post into the void and get it out. I'm so happy that there's a genuine bounce in my step, which makes my boobs bounce which makes me even happier!
May was a busy month for wild camping!
Last month was wild, We camped everywhere from picturesque bays, ruined cottages high in the peaks, a night stranded (by choice) on a sandbar in the north sea! Also took over a small island for some bougie glamping and kayaking with the kids (not our traditional camp but they had so much fun, obviously left no trace).
Gear list;
Oex Rakoon 2.1for the two man tents.
Silnylon tarp and generic inner for the the ultralight (400 gram including pegs and cordage).
Generic hammok (unigear), hexagon tarp from AliExpress.
Military 12 mm roll mat.
Oex fathom 350 ev sleeping bag.
Total pack weight under 6kg for the ultralight, 8kg with the tent.
Just bought my first (proper) inflatable kayak!
I went with the wave sup trailblazer 3.0 3 man. It's huge, 4.6 meters long and comfortably fits myself, 2 kids and a days worth of stuff. Only paddled 9 miles on the first trip but the boat handled it beautifully, even with a teenager who isn't much use paddling weighing down the front. The thing is shaped like a missile and really moves well, sides are ridiculously low so no wind resistance, absolute dream to paddle. Not sure how it'll do in the sea though, there's really not a lot of height whatsoever. Final thoughts are it's a great boat, but the seats are actually horrible, flat unyielding foam, after 4 hours my butt was numb... They're so bad.
We have to milk the soap teat whenever we wash our hands because work bought the wrong soap.
It doesn't fit in the dispenser, the only way to get soap is to squeeze the protrusion, you can't just squeeze the bottle. No point sending it back because it technically works, I guess it's still soap at the end of the day.
