I’m sure I’ll get a lot of hate for this but

This app is painfully restricting for a discussion forum. Have any forums gotten nearly as big that actually allow free speech? Or any subs here that are a lot less restricting?

And lots of other pets… I always liked animals and nature, but my mom never let us have a dog or anything… she accepted only fish, hamster, rabbit (contained animals), because she’s not a pet lover. Now that I’m an adult and have since gotten myself a cat, and especially in recent times… I Really wanna love on some more critters! I love small animals the most! Some animals can’t or shouldn’t be kept as pets but I want to at least pet them lol, like Pygmy monkeys, wild birds 😩 I need to find my own home where I can have a sort of animal sanctuary-ish lol. Bird feed and bath, a farm, and various pets

Going on 13 months without having made and maintained a single local friend since returning back to my hometown in Massachusetts.

Survived the worst winter and now summer is here, and I was hopeful about attending a cookout. The only one I was invited to I missed because I forgot about it and had already set out for other plans (to go and work). Big regret too cuz it was a bomb cookout.

Now it’s the 4th of July, and while I could care less about the holiday itself, my association is, family cookouts. Except there don’t seem to be any local ones taking place, certainly not that I was informed of. To be fair, I had one option at least. I just ended up having a meltdown instead over the fact that God doesn’t seem to want me to have friends, community or love, before I could amp myself up to get ready and join them. It was 4 hours away and I was hungry now.

This may sound silly to have a meltdown over. It’s just something that happens as a woman with depression/hormonal imbalance.

Well it’s 6pm and I haven’t began to get ready for any but I lost the desire anyhow especially since I don’t feel any appetite at this point.

Please, if you have a similar story/situation going on today, I’m just looking to feel like I’m not the only one.

So I take adderall and antidepressant and anxiety meds, and I’m very interested in fasting, but I’m already generally low energy due to being out of shape and dehydrated on the regular. I’m wondering, anyone who takes drugs for mental health, what kind of fasting could I do? I’m afraid to do water only for example because I need to work. My idea was to do a drug fast (all prescription drugs or maybe just the adderall), but does that count at all? 😅 insight will be helpful thank you!

The use of “se” is something I haven’t figured out (nor really tried to) in all my years of passively learning Portuguese.

Can anyone help me to understand when and how to use se? Like which verbs it goes with and why? As opposed to “te” especially?

As for how, I know that the other reflexives go before the verb, but I’ve often seen se come after and with a hyphen in between.. my guess is that se is used for sort of command forms of verbs?
For anyone that also knows Spanish, would se be the equivalent to “lo/la”? But this is used for el/ella/usted. Would você be the Portuguese version of “usted”?

Hello, I just joined this sub right now… I’m struggling with anxiety depression and adhd. For adhd I take adderall but I find it makes me anxious, so I want to stop but before I feel like I’ll be able to, I need to increase my energy. This is really hard because it entails exercise and drinking water. I don’t have any friends around to hang out with, and that doesn’t help… feeling a little emotionally bad right now tbh.

I think I’ve already made a similar post in the past but my memory is poor. This is specific…

Because I am currently taking adderall, which is what boosts my mental energy and allows me to work at tasks I usually put off or struggle far more to address without it… I become anxious. I become anxious Especially because the effects of adderall have a time limit. For me it’s between 4-6 hours. It’s not enough time for me to accomplish everything in my to do list, especially because I can still get hyperfixated or lose focus on the things I am trying to prioritize…

Example: if I’m doing a study, and I have a question that I want to look it… it takes just one question to pull me into a rabbit hole of research, or if I have a sort of lightbulb moment that I need to record, it becomes an entire essay. I seriously struggle with that, and I stress because of having way too many things I want to accomplish and because my energy is weak from bedrotting for several months. So I have a very upward battle. I feel like I can only complete one of many bigger tasks in a day.

So the biggest source of my anxiety is the fear of crashing once the effects wear off.
My solution then would be to push myself a little more without it, so I can eventually come off it entirely. My solution before that is to switch to Vyvanse one more time to see if I don’t crash as badly.. I’ve tried all the alternatives and they feel the same as taking nothing by at all… I want to rely on God but the voice of the enemy consumed me too easily… I need help 😭

I’m new to this sub, and I’m not a hardcore gamer at all. The kinds of games I enjoy most are simpler ones. I’m retro and pretty much my gaming declined since 2011. These days I play mobile games mostly. Just got addicted to FarmVille 3 and my go-to that has been consistent is castle crush. As for PC, I quite love overcooked 2 but only multiplayer.
Personally, I was considering getting a steamdeck. Are they still in? What do you guys recommend?
My background is most strongly Nintendo and I’ve had little exposure to PlayStation (we had Xbox instead)

I’m struggling with the trinity concept, one God, 3 essences/entities, I usually treat them like 3 “people”

I pray in the name of Jesus but also see people who pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as good too. Does it make a difference if I call on one entity over another, depending on the purpose or anything? Should I just say God since they’re all God? Please help 😭

I want to know more about the Holy Spirit, because Jesus and God make more sense when I think of characteristics but, please any explanations and resources for me to learn more would be great thanks!!!!
