Uninstall metrics is an unliked metric but for my extension, I focused so much on it bc it tells a lot about how useful my extension is.

When I first released my extension, i got a lot of uninstalls compared to installs. So, I added a form when users uninstall. Just as i released that update, I got a submission telling me the extension doesn't work on opera gx, so I fixed it and it was steady for a while. If i didn't see the uninstall analytics, I might've never added the form.

So never forget that the uninstall metrics is your friend

Woke up to this email telling me that my extension is trending. I received a badge on peerpush so i'm very happy. Its these small things that make life so enjoyable.

Today marks the 1st month of my extension and I learned a lot about marketing your extension:

1, Post on reddit

I think reddit might be the best way to find your customers. I post weekly on this sub reddit(progress updates) and others and it brought the spikes you see here. But you can get banned so do it cautiously.

2, Don't stop

At the first stages for my extension, I didn't get that much traction bc its gonna be a while before google pushes ur extension to the web store. Until then, post on reddit and twitter about it.

3, Build a profile

I have an account on twitter and I posted more then 2k times to build my profile. I've met people that helped my extension. Builders on twitter are very helpful if u reach out.

One little thing that'll help: Add languages other than english to your extension. It helps, by a lot.

Its been a great first month working on my extension and i'm happy with the stats.

As you can see, the growth is very nice and stable. I'm planning to add monetization and see if I make money. I'm very happy with this.

But what do you think?

After almost a month, my extension has reached 80 users.

Very happy.

My extension used to get 7 to 8 installs per day, but one day, it just shot up. It was confusing at first, but when i saw the updates i did, it was only one change i made in that day. And that was screenshots. After i changed it, google seemed to like it and it pushed my extension and conversion rate increased.

Wow, I'm speechless. Thank you for everybody who supported. This is the peak viewership and installs in one day for my extension.

87 views and 11 installs in 1 day!!!

Now, my goal is getting 1k users(I'm now at 48 users).

Today, I would like everybody to share my happiness in that my extension is almost at 100 installs. The grind is paying off.

The conversion from install to user is 40% which is not bad but improvable.
