Welcome Home #24 Miclas!

Today, I received #24 Miclas (Japan).
I purchased this guy a few months ago, but didn’t realize then that I wanted to collect only the Japanese make of the Ultra Monsters.
Navigating which toy for which release date and country of origin has been ULTRA fun!

This guy is the one. Same mold as the later release from China, Miclas from Japan has yellow paint and white eyes. ✅

I’ll be sharing the eBay listings of my mis-purchases very soon. Keep an eye out for “Mandrake’s Ultra-Pulls”!

There is something about getting one of these in the mail. They look great on screen, but there’s nothing like holding them and adoring the sculpt, the beautiful colors, the immense amount of character and expression. Bemstar’s smirk tells me he knows more.

My collection rubric is as follows:

The toys must be from the Ultraman Ultra Monster Series 1990-2000.
I am aware of all the funny business with transitions and dates and numbering during this period. The game of slalom with this collection is real.
The collection can be in any condition as long as there are no tags, all parts are together, no trash.
Non-BANDAI productions are not permitted.
I have decided to break this rule: Only Ultra Monsters. I have decided to find Ultraman Tiga from the adjacent “Hero” series and have him be the only soft vinyl representative from Nebula M78 (in the building.) This is the #1 from the Ultraman Ultra Hero’s Series.

I recognize that I am late to this party, even though Ultraman has been a constant in my life over all. Collecting this series and diving deeper into the storyline and production history has been an extreme joy for me, and I hope that whatever you collect does the same for you.

I Started Collecting

I started collecting Ultraman Ultra Monster Series soft vinyl toys from years 1991 to 2000. There are 141(142?) sculpts in total.

My first purchases weren’t pure to my collection goals as
I didn’t have as much clarity as I do now, but here are the few I picked up recently on eBay.

Only the 1991 #24 Miclas (the cool looking foo dog bull character) is a part of the specific collection.
The others are from later releases outside the scope of my collection goals, but I love them nonetheless. 🌈✌🏻🦑
