Vampire, Fairy, Mermaid/Siren, or witch beauty

Halloween is 2 months, and i’m a fan of fantasy so I thought this would be a bit fun. And just wanted to add some positivity. They say that apparently every woman either resembles the beauty of these fantasy/mythical creatures. Which vibe do you think each girl gives off?

For me:

Manon: Fairy/Siren
Sophia: Mermaid/Fairy
Daniela: Vampire
Lara: Siren
Megan: Vampire/Witch
Yoonchae: Fairy

Why do people keep clowning Daniela’s bleached eyebrows?

I don’t think it’s that serious, people are making such a big deal. I understand that it may not be her best suit, but I notice ppl started becoming a bit obsessive over it now. It’s to the point that almost every time she’s posted, no matter how beautiful and gorgeous she looks in a picture/vid or on any post in general (even if it’s positive ) people can’t compliment normally. I don’t think it needs to be need to be mentioned every single time

It’s literally just experimenting. People are acting like the girl shaved them off completely and went bald. It’s never that deep or serious lol. It’s just bleached. And If I’m not mistaken, katseye bleached their brows for that allure photoshoot, but Dani just decided to keep them longer.

I’m not defending the bleached brow look. I dislike them as much as the next person. To be fair I don’t like bleached brows on anybody though. I saw someone one time actually made a great point that it gives uncanny valley. That was a pretty good perspective and helped me understand better why it’s so off putting. I just think they make you look alien like and stupid. I honestly just prefer a late 90s/early 2000s ultra thin type brow or even a slit brow.

But I gotta be honest, I’ve seen some crazy comments and even the tone in which ppl use towards Dani, has started to come off as bullying tbh. Don’t get me wrong a few are funny (ex. Dani’s eyebrows went on hiatus 😂), but some are just outright mean spirited, dramatic and childish even a bit of slut shaming.

Daniela strikes me as someone who likes to experimenting. She shared on a solo article interview, that she might want to do a skinny brow next or grow them really thick. She is a 22 year old young woman, she’s at age group where it’s common to be experimental with finding your style, beauty, fashion even music. Especially with her being in the industry. I think people can be a little more gentler and kinder and respectful with the opinions and disapproval. It’s okay if you don’t like something, but like our mothers/grandmothers would always say, and we learned in kindergarten and elementary school, if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it.

These will likely be temporary. When shes 25, late 20s/30 she will probably have a whole different style. Adela had bleached brows and got rid of them. Megan expressed on a live stream, that she got tired of her bangs from last year 2025 as well as the pink highlights and heavier dark makeup. Now I notice she tends to keep a more natural light makeup look, and shorter length hair. She also shared that she’s more of a low maintenance type of girl. I experimented with blonde hair a few years ago, I had 50/50 opinions from my family and friends, some admired it, some weren’t feeling it. I personally enjoyed it but later then I realized it wasn’t my color, and plus it severely damaged and dried my curls out. It was such a nightmare lol. So i guess you live and you learn 🤷‍♀️

Let young people experiment and find their styles. I’ve seen women in their 30s, 40s, 50s+ look back at their fashion choices and sometimes they either regret and laugh at themselves, or reminisce on their teenage/20s self. Like “what was I thinking”. Even if they’re still fashionable, they just keep it more minimialist or modest. Celebs like Ariana grande, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Demi Lovato, Adrienne Bailon (she’s 43 and dresses completely different than when she was as recent in her 30s) etc. None of them dress the same as they did when they were younger.

There were these hideous swirly brows in 2017/2018 if anyone remembers? They barely lasted for a second. I don’t even recall seeing people actually wearing them in real life. Trends/fads come and trends go.

I feel like people and this fandom always tend to go extra harsher to Daniela, Why does it only seem to be a problem when Daniela does things? The tone in which people use towards her can sometimes sound very dehumanizing sometimes on any occasion. I sense that people are so weird towards her and often don’t act normal. I always feel and say that people don’t treat Daniela like she’s a human being (none of the girls tbh). People love to tearing her a new one for the most bare minimal stuff. There is also a factor of misogynistic and jealousy tones too. As much as some might not want to admit there’s some strong double standards towards her. I saw Megan with bleached brows for a sec, and I’ll admit she does fit them a bit better, but the difference in tone is amazing. People were a lot more nicer and normal about it. And this is no shade to her (she’s my bias) and the other girls, but if it was another member, whether it fits them or not, do you think people would be less harsh?

Again I’m not a fan of the look, but I’ve refrained myself from participating in a mean spirited, insulting (trust me I’ve seen some pretty outrageous choice of comments) I’ve at least learn to word my words better, especially because I’m naturally a very honest and blunt person. But you can be kind and honest at the same time. It wasn’t easy for me before but I’m trying, learning and growing every day to be more loving and graceful about things. It gets easier once you train yourself.

Sorry if this was a bit lengthy, please be don’t be mean in the responses. Just sharing my thoughts and opinion, I think people are doing too much all over a beauty trend, that many others are doing, even if it’s unconventional style. She could darken her eyebrows tomorrow. And because her face card is so lethal, my eyes barely even pay attention to the eyebrows anymore. Like I’ve honestly gotten used to it atp. In fact they’re actually quite cxnty. People just love wasting their time, energy and emotions over the most bare minimum things and I guess finding #12872 reason to hate on Dani lmao

Jolly ahhh

This live was so funny, especially this part my fav they’re so weird/childish in such a cute, good way tho 😂 they’re not afraid to be weird and eccentric. Them also casually being in a forest makes even more funnier and kinda intimate. Loved it. Ik Megan would’ve loved this particular scene too 😭♥️ if she was there she would’ve busted out a lil scream or one of her weird noise sounds effects. I can’t believe we’re the new adults lol

Weirdos trapped in pretty faces/hot bodies 💕

u/Ok-Ninja-3039 — 13 hours ago

Unpopular opinion but I love Megan’s rbf

She’s so hot and beautiful when she looks kinda mad or serious. I also have the same problem as her lol maybe an air sign, neurodivergent thing. She would also mingle in well in nyc, since they have strong resting b faces lol

Edit: please note this is not a safe place to put down any one of the other members down! Please do not do that. If you do mention them, let be positivity, This is a Megan appreciation post ♥️

I don’t think i’ve witnessed such Misogynistic people as much as Katseye haters and critics

Title speaks for itself, good Lord. There is Nothing wrong with constructive criticism, heck even to dislike certain songs, outfits and stuff, it’s even okay to not be a fan of the group.

But the tone in which speak about Katseye is not normal. People hate Katseye for everything they do, wear, say, release. Everything they do. I don’t think people see these girls as humans tbh. They talk about them like their objects. The slut shaming, body criticism, names (I saw one call them pro$tit**s) I’ve seen. They can’t do anything right nor win with people. You’ll never see this type of scrutiny and stigma towards male artists, groups and celebrities.

I’m writing this post because I saw the comments of them singing at the Disney d23 event, and you’d think with them looking like gorgeous goddesses and singing nicely (not glaze) showing off their vocals the comments would be nicer but i guess not. (I’m not talking about I wish “Sophia and Manon comments” trust me even if they were present there would still be hate) Lol but this goes for every comment section of any katseye content. It actually is hilarious, bc I haven’t seen this level of misogyny is to 3rd degree, since Britney Spears. I had to chuckle to myself earlier, it’s not funny but I’m just amazed by the level of misogyny.

Also please note that this is NOT a personal attack on the neutral sub, this is just my observation for every app. Instagram, tiktok, twitter (probably one of the worst ones), reddit, even youtube. Thankfully pinterest is likely the only safe app, if you see hate it’s extremely seldom.

Brazilian culture widely loved or True colours showing?

This genuinely out of curiosity because I’m a bit confused and not understanding the backlash with Hootie Frutti (on a Cultural basis)

Also let me preface by saying that, Yes, I 100% fully understand, respect and aware that None of the girls are of Brazilian descent. Though we can obviously tell that the song and music video is quite literally Brazilian inspired.

Since released it’s been a whole lot of hate (not surprising with Katseye lol) or at least a 50/50. Cause you have the crowd like myself who likes it. And with the complaint of the girls being over sexualized, the fake accent, dance movements and stuff.

As a person who analyze a lot, and feels and sees things spiritually and a bit sensitively too, what I’m sensing is more than just Katseye hate. I’m also sensing a bit of racial/ethnic hostility, anti Latin hate/bias and tension.

Especially with the political climate, and anti Latin sentiment and xenophobia going on, and correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like Brazil and Brazilian people was the most tolerated and loved out of Latam, whereas Mexicans, Puerto Ricans etc get more the short end of the stick and less appreciated. Forgive me more my ignorance, I’m not from the US and not fully in tune with the news 24/7 I’m also of Caribbean/Latin descent so seeing this hate hurts hits a bit home.

There’s a chance that if this song was released by any other artist or group people would probably not hate as much (especially if they were male group instead The Lord knows people would be gagging) since we all know Katseye gets hate for literally anything they release, do, say, wear, they can’t do nothing right especially with this fandom. I accept atp people will be dissatisfied when it comes to Katseye.

Where I am genuinely confused is that I thought people were lovingly obsessed with Brazilian culture, music, beauty, products, soccer players, the country and aesthetic? All things Brazilian. Especially after both the 2022 (I remember the rise for loving Brazilian culture rose, everyone obsessing over Neymar both all over online and in person lol ) and latest 2026 World Cup

And another reason why I’m sensing bias is because while Daniela is NOT Brazilian, the whole never ending complaints of her being “pushed” and by the label even saw a comment something like “This song was likely made with Daniela in mind” and Gabriela being their first Latin inspired song last year 2025 and now HF. I think someone on their team is Brazilian, the makeup artist I believe? And hybe is already has 2 Brazilian artists under the label Samara Siqueria from Saint Satine and Kaue Penna from Santos Bravos. There was the 1999/y2k Latin explosion with artists like Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Santana etc and it looks like it’s happening again with popularity growth worldwide with Bad Bunny (right before and after the Halftime show), Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Anitta, even Bachata music like Romeo Santos Aventura etc

But I’ll conclude it here, and leave room for discussion, (Ik this is the neutral sub but can we please be kind and gentle? Like at least not be mean about other cultures?) but I will ask these questions,

Is Brazilian culture still loved? Are people hating this song/mv strictly because it’s from Katseye? Or are people’s true colors with bias and bigotry coming out?

Why does this fandom hate Daniela so much?

This is like my second post in regard to Daniela, I’ll keep it more straightforward this time. But how do I say that I’m completely weirded out and uncomfortable seeing the treatment (in a fandom and internet aspect, but even then I’m starting believe hxg likes to set her up) and hate targeted towards her without sounding like a glazer?

What has this girl done to y’all? lol like seriously why does she piss people off so many people and trigger. Even when she’s not doing nothing (and I mean nothing like just sitting or standing, or if she’s not in the center or has a ugly outfit she’s still attacked and picked apart)

She has been targeted and hate for 1 year now, for so many nothing burger reasons, and her dad, Carti and boyfriend are still not valuable reasons to send threats, harassment and hatred towards a young women who has almost no control over Men.

Daniela has done literally nothing to deserve the hate and vitriol she gets. It makes me sad and bit sick because she is nothing but so kind to fans ( She’s shared that meeting eyekons are her favourite part of the job) and people, and a sweet loving person overall as said by her own family, friends, kats, staff, fans etc everyone that personally knows her and meets say great things about her in person.

She is doing is doing her job, working hard everyday for 12+ hours, doing what she loves, connecting with fans, represent, growing, navigating, trying to live her dreams at 22 years old. Still learning and growing making mistakes (no human is perfect). And then seems to push herself to be a perfectionist level under public daily scrutiny. I can’t imagine how that must feel. And the mental health part. Her and Lara literally had to delete tiktok because it was dark and heavy for them.

And yet she’s treated so weirdly, badly and blamed for stuff that is out of her control (ex. the company hxg “pushing” her and favouring her) and made out to be a monster. People want to dim her shine and light.
Not to be funny but are people not used to seeing gorgeous people be more than a face? Like seeing young conventionally pretty woman, be talented, confident, have substance and star quality.

Criticism is necessary at times, but can we please chill out a notch with the hate? Can we give a bit more grace, be more gentle, patient, calm, respectful, compassionate and kind? A little more empathy please? There’s ways share our opinions, concerns and go on about things without being mean or harsh.

And not to sound like a mom, but carrying hatred and misery in your heart is super unhealthy and jealousy is ugly. Trust me, take it from me because I used to be this kind of way when I was a younger teenager but then later as I got older, I just out of no where, subconsciously threw out and released all of that anger, bitterness, insecurities and hate because I realized it’s not worth it, especially if the person did nothing to me.

I feel like this fandom and people in general are a bit micro aggressive of Daniela’s Latin culture, as well as some double standards and hate

As the new wild ep has been released, firstly I just wanna say, that the music is such a major improvement, I’m very proud of the girls, the songs at least in my opinion are bops.

I hear and understand some people to extent when they complain about Daniela being “pushed”. I hear you, but I’m noticing it’s only a big problem when it’s her? Aside from Hootie Frutti, the other songs, including HF (hootie frutti), I’m hearing a lot more Yoonchae and Megan music distribution lines which I’m not complaining about I love with their voices. Even in the HF’s music video the girls took turns being in the center.

I’m not hearing or seeing “Yoonchae and friends” or “Megan and friends” etc. Even let’s say, hypothetically if Daniela never had much center time, and an another member was pushed instead, would there be this much complaints and hate?

Another thing is that the other members deserve to have their own cultural influenced songs I definitely need and waiting for an Indian influenced song from Lara, and for Yoonchae we only kinda have Time Laspe which is a kdrama song cover and she gets to sing a chorus in Korean, and Flame has some Mandarin but that’s really it in the meantime. But I’m sensing this subtle ( even sometimes loud) hostility and anger when it’s Daniela’s culture or anything influenced with her. Last year we got Gabriela and now we have Hootie Frutti. Funny enough the whole “pushing Daniela” started around the same time last year, or around fall 2025.

I’ll share my perspective: There has been a rise in Latin music especially after the World Cup, even with artists like Bad Bunny, Karol G, Anitta etc becoming more widely listened to and grown in popularity for non Spanish/Portugues speaking listeners and audience. I must say tho it feels a bit biased especially in this political climate that where in, the targeted hate and double standards towards Daniela. With the way ppl have already attacked her heritage and ancestry which is another conversation, and the over dancing and expressions.

She has been dancing and raised in Ballroom since she was 2-3 years old. Was taught by her mother, and she was her own dance teacher all throughout childhood. In that style of dance and even as Latin/Caribbean people, being charismatic, expressive, passionate, bold, enthusiastic are requirements and just naturally in our blood. Lots of personality and yes even a bit sexual. Ive also done ballroom so I’m quite familiar with it.

I’ve seen her mom dance myself specifically in traditional Cuban and Afro Cuban dances it’s a TON of movement, loud facial expressions and very faced paced (so as many other countries Colombia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Jamaica etc). She’s also shared that that’s the side she grew up with and most in tune in, Cuban culture. Also as a half Jamaican person, who’s grown up around Brazilians all my life, I’m used to the whole “twerking” thing lol. Daniela has also danced to Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, and Ballet and she does them all super well. But she’s most likely going to be most familiar and comfortable in Ballroom.

It just makes me a bit sad, as someone of Latin/Caribbean descent, and like I said again, I want the other girls to be able to sing, share and have songs in their languages and bring their cultural sound, (ex. East Asian instruments like how Blackpink’s song Pink Venom you can hear the geomungo and gayageum, a Filipino song and if Manon was here a Euromusic sound along with Afrobeats or Ghanaian Highlife etc) I see it as maybe hxg is introducing new cultures under the label. Like how we have Santos Bravos, Samara in SS and constantly trying to make new global groups, even there was or is a possibility of an Indian girl group in the making. And we have new sub labels like HYBE Latin America, HYBE India, Hybe has also collaborated with the African market as well with artists like Tyla.

One culture at a time, maybe they’re just starting with Latin culture crossover and soon hopefully will bring other cultures and languages in the future. I do appreciate seeing another Caribbean person under Hybe, and likely the first woman of Latin descent under Hybe, Daniela is very proud and in touch of her culture and has tons of Latin fans that look up and connect to her.

She also used to hide her heritage in high school, with her own words she “lost herself” trying to fit in with white American peers, and after joining Dream academy, then into katseye, she is now not ashamed sharing and embracing her Latin roots.

It’s not her fault that the label is pushing her.

And music aside, I really believe people could also just be obsessed and jealous with Daniela, because even when she isn’t “centered” people still try attack and jump at her. And try to look for those moments to have somebody to hate or be mad about. Me and many others have noticed that Daniela makes people so triggered for whatever reason. She just strikes me as someone who naturally just stands out, effortlessly without trying. Even just standing doing the bare minimum her presence is still strong. She can’t help that she’s super talented and brings this confidence on stage. Even haters or people who aren’t Dani biased could admit she’s talented.

Remember Katseye is a global girl group in the end, so Daniela has had her run so far of 2 songs that are Latin influenced and I pray hopefully next the other girls will get their chance.

Please forgive me if this was worded badly and long, don’t attack me this is all opinion based and from the perspective of someone who also doesn’t really listen to kpop. All I’m asking is that fans and people would please, just be a bit more kinder to different cultures that you aren’t familiar with. You share and express opinions and desires without being hurtful, and to give grace and respect to Daniela. I feel like people won’t give this girl a break with hate and nitpick.

Edit: Yes I know Daniela isn’t herself Brazilian, please don’t jump me
