Hello. I have been wanting to get into illustration, specifically children's books and stories. For the past two years I have been trying to learn the fundamentals by myself through youtube mostly. I haven't made much progress. I Still struggle with perspective, colour theory, composition, backgrounds, anatomy...... basically everything. I am tired of struggling by myself and I want to join a platform which will teach me all the above from a to z and in depth. Learning through free platforms can be very fragmented.
I joined 21 draw but was hugely disappointed. So basic. So I looked into svslearn and it seems to be geared towards commercial illustration, story telling, comics etc. Had a lot of modules which could be very helpful to me (if they are taught in depth). I will join their free trial and see how it is, but i need to know if anybody paid for a whole year of membership and was it worth it? Did your art improve?
Then there is Marc Burnette's online art school. How do the two compare?
Or if you know of another platform do tell. Please help.
P.S Proko is, as i understand, more for traditional style of art.
So I know that we are getting ourselves treatments for vaginismus not just for the sexual aspects, but health considerations as well. But sometimes I feel sad that I will not be able to experience the proper or ultimate connection with my husband. Or you can say proper sexual enjoyment. No shade to him, he is super supportive and has never shamed me or anything.
But I also wonder, do women REALLY enjoy sex all that much? Like it boggles my mind. I mean we know that ATLEAST 50 60% women don't climax through PIV. If women don't enjoy piv, then what DO they get out of it? (Apart from kids i mean). Me, my husband once managed to penetrate me painlessly but the movement part was still painful. Apart from the burning sensation at the opening, i felt NOTHING inside. If the burning pain hadn't been there, I wouldn't even have known that he was inside of me. So like, who are these women who enjoy sex so much, and there are those that have had multiple partners. Like sex is so much WORK AND HASSLE. How do they manage to enjoy it of all things? Not to mention risks of diseases and infections and STIs and STDs.
I don't even want to look at my hooha. I find it disgusting. Also as I have gotten older I have started to develop a loathing for bodily fluids (though I would never say this to my poor husband).
Anybody suddenly had the problem that they couldn't make any transaction with sadapay? I can recieve from and send money to my bank account, but I can't seem to purchase anything whatsoever. Even when I enter the sadapay card details properly. What is this? And there is nowhere to complain????
This has been going on for a few months now, and happened suddenly without any warning at all. And no my card is not expired or suspended or whatever. Thakkar app.
Hello everyone. Nowadays I feel like watching mature dramas. By mature I don't mean 18+plus scenes, but what I mean is mature story line with older/ veteran actors and actresses. For eg: I have watched:
The Glory
The world of the married
The Trunk
Sky Castle (I think it counts as mature?)
I also would like some recs for good thrillers. I have watched Kim Hye Soo's Signal and Unmasked and both seasons of Stranger.
And some recs for law dramas as well. I loved Law School.
Hello everyone. I want to ask those of you who went to pelvic floor therapists, what kind of exercises do you do? Like how did you start and then how you gradually progressed? I don't have the means to go to a pelvic floor therapist, so I thought I would ask for some advice here: what kind of exercises would be beneficial and in what order. I will look these up on YouTube.
I mean i could just go to YouTube and start doing them, but I don't know if picking random exercises and doing them willy nilly is going to be of much help.
And I also ordered dilators, which numbing cream is best. I have a very sharp burning pain on the opening of vagina. No feeling inside though.
I am 38, and today I discovered that I am perimenopausal. I also have PCOS. My mom went through menopause in her mid fifties and here I am in my 30s.... tbh I have been suspecting this for a few years, but I was hoping I was wrong. I think my perimenopause started at 35.
My period blood volume has decreased A LOT. A lot lot. I barely bleed now, though I bleed regularly every month. But hearing the doctor confirm my suspicions has depressed me so much. This means I might get early menopause. I hate being a woman.
So what ýall doing about this perimenopause shit. I am broke as hell too. And yeah I am tired all the time. And insomnia too.
I hate hate hate hate vaginismus so much. I wanna be like normal people. I been to so many doctors and they all say stuff like: you are a coward, why did you get married, be brave, your poor husband blah blah.
I mean, I totally accept that my husband is a saint for putting up with this for 8 years, but what can i do, I wanna be normal but my body just refuses to be. Can't get pap smear, can't go for any check up.
I only found out about my vaginismus after marriage. Before marriage I used to think that sex will be enjoyable.
Just went to a doctor and she said you got infection and you need to put antibiotics in there. I don't wanna do it. I also have pcos and i just discovered that i am perimenopausal. I am only 38. I feel so depressed and I hate my body. The doctor also told me that I should complete my family asap because i don't have kids. I also have a great fear of pregnancy and childbirth.
I just hate myself.
So I am watching "The Glory" kdrama (almost finished the second season) and I think Jung Sung Il (the husband) is an amazing actor. I watched Murderer Report too. What other shows of his have you watched that are good? It seems like there are none where he is the main lead (apart from Murderer Report). In the recent one "Made in korea" he seems to have an important but small role.
Also I think he deserves main roles, big roles.....I was kinda stunned that he isn't as well known as other big names and has mostly done small supporting roles. Even in "The Glory" his screen time isn't a lot.
Anyone here with vestibulititus? What treatment worked for you? So with me the problem is that I experience extreme sharp burning pain just at the opening/entrance of the vagina, and no feeling of pain or pleasure inside. The thing is, I have been to a couple of doctors and all diagnose this as vaginismus. The sharp burning pain is also at a specific spot. Things can be inserted, but I don't do that because of this specific pain.
So anyone with this exact same problem, please tell me what worked for you and what didn't and do dilators help here.
Hello. Anyone selling PDFs on gumroad here? Did anyone use Gumroad's PDF stamping on large files and notice it only stamps the first page now?
Hello. I just recently made an account on Gumroad to sell digital products. As you know in Gumroad's documentation they explicitly state about their PDF stamping feature: "gumroad will stamp the buyers email address and Gumroad logo on every single page of the PDF".
I uploaded a couple PDFs and did the test downloads (even got one or two people to buy for testing) and Gumroad stamped the buyer's email address and its logo on the PDF COVER ONLY. I thought the site was glitching because many downloads yielded the same result: the stamping was only in the cover. I chose the site specifically for this feature.
Then I contacted support. First their AI agent answered that this wasn't normal behaviour and I should check file size and do this that blah blah. When the problem persisted it was escalated to a human.
They just got back to me and said that their engineering team confirmed that stamping is only done on first page now, and they will be updating the documentation. And if i wanted stamping I should use another service.
For the people who use Gumroad: Is this true or are they just tryna sweep the issue under the rug? Did they update the feature to stamping covers only??
Is anyone else experiencing a page one cutoff? Does the stamp work differently on paid vs free transactions?
P.S: I did find a github thread on Google where they were discussing this exact issue because stamping whole pdfs was causing problems or something, but it was just a discussion and no final decision was there.
Hello. Is anyone here from the UK? What do you guys do when you need refills? I looked up on the ohuhu website and they offer refills in US, Australia, Canada and Europe. Does the Europe warehouse also ship to the UK, or are refills not available to UK customers? I am confused as UK is not part of Europe anymore so.....
My husband is under a lot of stress. My FIL died around 6 months ago. Then soon after that my husband had to move to the UK for a job. He is 36. I am 38.
My husband is the second son in the family but practically speaking he is the eldest, since even before our marriage he was looking after the whole family like a dad. And now he IS the dad. There are two other brothers, the younger one has kids and is very busy with his kids and family and the older one is unmarried and has some mental health issues. And there are two unmarried sisters.
Everyone plans to eventually move to the UK. My MIL is British and her side of the family all reside there.
My husband looked after all the inheritance issues and other legal issues that arose after my FILs death. Even from over there he is still over seeing stuff and any problem that arises in the house. He is also responsible for settling the whole family there, making sure they find work and jobs and stand on their two feet. And he will be responsible for getting a car and mortgaging a house so everyone can live. And he will also be marrying off his sisters and finding proposals for them. Basically we will be startng from zero there.
I try not to bother him and when we talk I make sure that i don't speak of any problem that i have and try to solve it on my own (unless i am not able to, then he requests the elder brother or contacts people he knows etc). When we talk i make sure our talks are light and that he feels better and less lonely (what else can i do while I am in Pakistan and he is in the uk). He has my support in whatever he does.
Now since we will be starting from zero in the uk, I know that he is under immense pressure. He has talked about mortgaging a house with my SILs and MIL combined (my SILs will work). I don't know about myself. I have no work experience and zero skills (that will get me a job). I didn't work before or after marriage because nobody was in favour of this: neither in his family nor mine.
I also have no kids. I have many health and fertility issues (which I am trying to resolve before going to uk), but there is no hope for kids.
I need advice on what to do. Obviously I will support my husband to the max in whatever way I can, but it is very apparent to me that i will be at a severe disadvantage in the UK. I Will be totally dependant on my husband (with no family around like my parents, siblings etc) while living in a house owned by him and his family. And in this kind of dynamics you lose any kind of "say" in the marriage or how you can live in the house (since it won't be mine). I don't want to become the "guest", compromiser, caretaker and labourer for everyone. If my husband dies before me, I will have nowhere to go. Obviously i can't come back to Pakistan in my old age after living abroad for 20 30 years.
I just need some sane sensible advice. I don't want to break this marriage. He is a good man.
I dont expect him to have any kind of plan for me if things go awry. The one thing i have learnt over and over is that desi men are not foresighted when it comes to their wives. No matter how good they are. How decisions impact the wife is the last concern for most desi men or not a concern at all. Wife just follows the husband around.
Anyway, I am not here for legal advice, just sane advice on how to take things into my own hands so i can live respectfully while juggling the marriage and family dynamics in this particular scenario in the UK.
