How are hyenas not infertile?

This might be a dumb question, I don’t really know, but in humans and it seems the majority of mammals, males with high estrogen/low testosterone are typically infertile. Same with females with high testosterone/low estrogen. But in hyenas it is the norm for the females to have much higher testosterone than males to the point their clitorises develop to look like the male’s penis from outside. My question is why don’t their hormone levels effect their fertility the way it would if say a human had equivalent levels?

Nine winged Hivewings?

I’m currently reading the Hive Queen and I noticed something strange on the back of the cover. A Hivewing that has three wings on the same side. Not the best picture but if you have a copy you can look for yourself. I’m guessing it’s a mistake but it seems weird to accidentally draw an extra wing? Has Tui said some Hivewings can have nine wings?

Wing types and agility

So this is a very theoretical question and I’m not sure if I should ask it here or somewhere else, so please let me know if this type of question isn’t allowed. i’m making a dragon OC and trying to decide what type of wings it should have. I want the type of wings that provide the most agility. After doing some research I learned that dragonflies are the most agile flying animals, mainly because they have four wings that they can control individually. But I also learned that bats are very agile as well because the finger bones in their wings allow them to adjust the shape of their wing membrane very precisely to shape the air around them or something like that. I’m not an expert in any of this so bear with me. So I was thinking maybe a creature that has bat-like wings but four of them would be more agile than both a bat and a dragonfly of equivalent size. But I’m not really sure. So if anyone knows a lot about flying animals could help answer my question would be great.

Is it normal to wish I was a cis woman?

Is it normal that me (ftm) feels jealous of cis woman and wishes I could be happy as a girl and in my body? I think I would be so much happier if I just felt comfortable as being a woman. My life would be so much less complicated.

Am I still trans?

Am I still trans (ftm) if it makes me happy when I get complemented as a girl? Like people telling me I’m a beautiful girl. It’s nice that people think that, but I still would rather be a boy.

Sometimes, things about my agab bring me comfort, but...

Sometimes, experiences from growing up as my agab (female) bring me comfort. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just certain things feel safe and warm and cozy. I guess reminding me of my childhood or times I felt safe. Like I remember having bows put in my hair and being called a little princess and it’s... nice. And yet another part of me, if I acknowledge it, wishes I had gotten to grow up as a boy. And sometimes when I’m laying in bed with my period wearing you know period underwear and I have a heating pad, it’s like nice and warm and cozy and I feel safe, and taken care of even though it’s me taking care of myself, yet I still hate knowing I have a uterus and that it’s in there this foreign organ inside my body and I see its blood and I hate it. I guess I kind of just want validation for feeling comfort in certain thingst that are also non gender affirming. Like I can’t be the only one, right? I read that it’s normal to find comfort in the familiar, or have contradictory feelings for things.

“female gaze“ is making me dysphoric.

I’m a trans man, yet I prefer “female gaze“ things. Anytime I see something, like an outfit or a photo of someone, I always prefer the “female gaze“ one. Even when it comes to people I find attractive (I’m bi) I always seem to agree with women. It just makes me feel like I’m not really a man if I like such things that only women like.

Why are some penis heads smooth and shiny while others look dry and textured?

I was going to show example images but it won’t let me so I hope you know what I mean.

Commodus as potrayed in Gladiator

Idk about the guy who plays him I haven’t seen him in anything else but I thought he was very good looking in this movie. I kind of find men in ancient Roman clothing generally sexy for some reason. Don’t see much fanfiction about him which is strange, seems like he’d be perfect for it. He’s a bad boy with daddy issues. And yes, he wants to bang his sister, but no one’s perfect.

Internalized misandry

As a closeted trans guy, I’ve struggled with this a lot. Consciously I know that it’s bullshit and just extremist rhetoric but of course it nags at me anyway. This idea that all men are inherently evil at some level and can never care for other people or be good people the way women can. And me being like “I’m a good person. I care about other people. Am I still a man?“ And like some of the most caring, most patient and kind people I’ve known have been cis-men. Go figure, they’re like half the population. Trying to claim that half the population is evil is actually insane, and yet it still bothers me because some part of my mind is still convinced it might be true. Idk. I guess I just wanted to vent and maybe hear other’s thoughts.

Did anyone else feel grossed out previously?

Hopefully doesn’t offend anyone, but did anyone else prior to realizing they were trans AND had genital dysphoria used to think the genitals opposite to the ones they had at birth were icky looking? I remember being grossed out by dicks and then later realizing that I kind of wanted one. Nowadays, I would say I don’t think any genitals are particularly aesthetically pleasing, but they aren’t really supposed to be either.

Dysphoria isn’t always there. Am I still trans?

I’m pretty sure I am a trans boy, but I always keep going back and forth and doubting, which seems to be pretty common. I have dysphoria, especially towards my body, genitals, and face. I’ll experience severe dysphoria sometimes and then other times... it’s like it’s not there at all? Sometimes I’ll look in the mirror and be disgusted, and other times I just go “Meh. Whatever. It’s okay.“ like it’s not euphoria by any means, but it’s not dysphoria either. It’s just like “Sure. I’m alright with it.“ and I fear that those times of acceptance mean I’m not trans, because if I were, wouldn’t I always feel some degree of dysphoria?

What is an example of what your inner monologue sounds like?

Like, most people have an inner monologue constantly going off as we go about or day. An internal conservation with yourself, if you will. I’d like to head some examples of what yours sound like. An excerpt of what goes in your mind. Not like a joke “funny“ one, like an actual example that you have actually thought word for word.

Bottom dysphoria has gotten weird lately.

I am transman pretransition. And to preface, yes, I know you don’t need bottom dysphoria to be trans. But I do have it. For the longest time I’ve felt uncomfortable with my parts. They’re just wrong for me. And I would like to, you know, have the other parts. But lately, when I imagine having a dick, it kind of triggers my anxiety? I feel anxious about it and it’s hard to imagine it as a part of me and not a foreign body. But then on the other hand it is something I want and if I think about it long enough I am able to process it and realize that it could be a part of my body and I feel comfortable again. But it kind of makes me feel like I am faking my desire for different genitals in the first place. I am wondering if any other trans people have experienced something similar. I think it’s this sort of fear of the unknown and retreating into the familiar despite the familiar being uncomfortable in itself. And does anyone have any advice on how to get over that fear? Thanks :)

Is this weird?

Sometimes my dick is annoying to me. Like don’t get me wrong I like having it but sometimes I find it uncomfortable how it’s just hanging there, especially when it’s hot. I’m not sure if that is weird or not because I am too afraid to ask anyone else. In person that is.

So, I recently saw this video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hXnf88lsYZ4

I think I understood it, but I’m a bit confused as to how they were able to get the mouse sperm to fuse in the manner that sperm and egg do. I thought that the fusion of the two gametes required special binding proteins from both egg and sperm. And sperm lack the cytoplasm and organelles necessary for sustaining early embryo development. Just a bit confused how they were able to create an embryo. I’m guessing I either missed something or they failed to include the full process in this video. If someone could help me out with understanding, that would be great.

Hi, I am a closeted, (sort of) pre-everything trans guy. I have bottom dysphoria pretty bad. I wish I had a dick because it feels like something is missing there, but I am worried because I have heard the penis doesn’t get as much pleasure as the clitoris. I really like orgasming and stuff, and it would kind of suck not to experience the same level of pleasure anymore. I know that bottom surgery wouldn’t give me something exactly like a cis man’s penis and no one really knows first hand whether penis or clit feels more pleasure, but for trans men who have had bottom surgery, do you not have as good of pleasure any more? Purely physically, ignoring the dysphoria part. I don’t know... clitoral orgasms are good but I always find myself wishing I had my dick to wrap my hand around and jerk off instead of rubbing this little nub. But maybe it wouldn’t feel as good physically, which would be pretty disapointing.
