who ever named the infantry this way is going to be fired!
This just makes no sense, why would it be named like this? This is completely illogical!

No plot armour just good at what they do.
Grunts are expected to die and easily replaceable but still competant enough to get the job done.Elites are well, elite. Best of the regular dudes with guns. Deadly and effective but it's not crippling if they do die, unlike say a jedi from star wars or a high power psyker from 40k.
Sure, helldivers are propagandised lunatics but they seem pretty competent. I just think AH seems to focus on the expendable part of helldivers. Sure, my helldivers got bisected by a buzzsaw the size of a car door but the stuff he did before that was pretty impressive.
Killing a building size tank with a liberator and a single smoke grenade isnt something a grunt would do.
edit: used to be a massive star wars lore nerd before I switched to 40k, completely forgot about imperial army lol.
Double edit: going to re learn star wars lore now.
triple edit: 7K TF???
cured my ultimatum addiction with this thing.
being chased by a hulk or charger? fent gun
bunch of heavy devastators but your aim is trash? fent gun
overseer running up on you screaming STOP RESISTING!? fent gun.
it pairs so well with melee, fent the enemy backline and then mop up the front with hammer or saw. you can even bring the suppressor with it if you want some shush time with your ripping and tearing. also works with the cremator to make up for its range weakness or just bring it with steriliser because why not?
Seriously if you love melee/cqc and haven't used it give it a try.
I'm surprised AH haven't considered making an RTS considering how much they love buffing the other factions.
Hd1 was a top down shooter so it feels kinda right that one should exist and a lot of people on the subreddits (myself included) would want one. AH said they are 40k fans wouldn't be surprised if they were into RTS or TBS games.Jokes aside, the main reason AH hasn't been able to make one is because Sony got them "working" on hd2 and probably isn't in the cards for 3 years or more, or honestly ever.
So a realistic option would be a mod, (like a full clone wars EaW conversion mod) StarCraft 2 would probably be a good choice for one, their already exists a mod that retexture a bunch of the units to a hd2 style (comrade_mikhails kitbash mod on curseforge). RTS games are experiencing a bit of a draught on games so a new one would breath some life into the genre. 3 devs are working on an RTS called DORF which is Command and conquer mixed with Factorio. Its still in development but the devs said they are doing mod support when it drops so its something to keep an eye on.
i know how to use blender to a certain extent but other than that I'm not skilled enough to even consider doing it myself.
This games scenery is really good is just a shame the sound design does not really accompany or enhance it. Also how can a truck sized bug scale a wall and crush me to death all without making a sound.
When i am standing in a bombed out city why cant hear the sound of gunfire, bombing, aircraft or heavy machinery. the heavy units, especially the factory strider are incredibly silent. This a house sized killer robot, why are its foot steps so silent? i should be able to hear it before i even see it. Not to mention the joints moving, engine running, gun loading, cycling and traversing and the fabricator inside working away. But the thing that bothers me the most as a legion main in titanfall 2, it has probably the wimpiest sounding minigun i have ever had heard. compared to the wolf from generation zero or the bastion from arc raiders it's just pathetic
Want examples of what i am talking about?
Arc raiders
Generation zero
Horizon
Titanfall
Space marine
All games with great sound design and ambience.
The wall will never fall in the face of tyranny!(unless it's a vox engine.)
Im trying to learn how to UV unwrap high poly stuff because this is my first time doing it. But i made a mistake and have a bad UV map, but when i try to reset it blender stops responding.
also I have ucupaint installed but i cant do anything without the UV. When i did actually get the UV to work and i could paint, their were parts of the mesh where the paint didnt apply.
I just want to apply to other colours to my mesh why is it so hard?
Latest from RnD.
Logistics was complaining about constantly having to rely on dropships and factory striders for troop transport, they were asking for something smaller. Dropships are vulnerable to AA and striders are anything but discreet. So the Shredder AAV chassis was born.
carries up to 10 light infantry (no devastators to keep it small, light and floating) and is capable of handling snow, sand and swamp effortlessly. Though it is at its most deadliest when waterborne as its speed massively increases. the water also acts as a natural impact absorber for the screws which is the biggest weak point. main hull is is rated tank but the screws are heavy, with the rear doors and heat sinks are medium. Pilots are advised to keep the vehicle facing the enemy.
you might have missed the shredder turret on top, the main reason for the shredder turret is the ability to basically put an AA gun anywhere, though it can support a bunker turret upon request (MLRS and battle cannon are still restricted to the tank chassis). It is unfortunately its sole armament, but it does have the benefit of having meatgrinders for movement. Have fun mincing helldiver legs.
We have ran out of the phones that were required to build devastator shields, sorry mechanised infantry and good luck out there. However,Engineering was also able to improve the armour of the tanks however this did not improve crew training or helldivers simply ignoring them outright.
Nothing suspicious here!
Since our current artillery systems are incredibly slow (if not completely immobilised) and any form of sea based weapons platform is an easy target for super destroyers, why not hide our artillery underwater?
this sub is equipped with icarus rocket pods (the same ones mounted on the vox engines) enabling the sub to surface, volley fire the missiles and then submerge to prevent return fire from orbiting destroyers (or helldivers).
Important note: the submersible is not particularly durable, the primary hull is only rated heavy armour but the command and control superstructure is even less tough. The bridge is also essential to its operation and will be disabled should it take significant damage.
