Rosacea and only antibiotics seem to work

I have been fighting with rosacea for over 3 years now, visiting over 5 doctors. Only the last one has kinda helped, prescribed a topic cream and antibiotics from 7 tow 14 days, but as soon as I stop taking the antibiotics my face goes chaotic and breaks out with little yellow pimples that pop by just scratching them and redness 😞 I did get second options, like I said, 5 doctors in 5 years, and they all say I have the same (rosacea or dermatitis) and prescribe the same. What can I do

Products for dry scalp

My scalp gets dry easily, especially after I wash my hair, but I hate scalp serums and oils becasue they make my hair look flat. I’ve looked at lighter options like the Briogeo scalp serum, The Ordinary’s scalp treatment, some Korean scalp tonics like Celgen Hair Tonic, and even simple rosemary or tea tree scalp mists, but I think I prefer something that feels almost invisible after applying. I’m starting to think consistency matters more than finding the most intense product possible. What has actually helped your dry scalp without making your hair greasy or turning into a whole extra routine?

[Review] Celgen Pearl Mist

I’ve been using the Celgen Pearl Mist for about two weeks, mostly in the morning and sometimes during work. My skin is a mix of oily and dry, especially on my forehead, and I live in Florida so the weather is humid but my skin can still feel dry when I’m outside working near the water for a while.

The mist itself feels very watery and fresh. It has a soft scent, dries down fast, and doesn’t leave that sticky film some mists do. I also like that it gives a subtle glowy look without feeling greasy. I got the travel size and it fits in my purse makeup bag.

I think I like it most when I wear lighter makeup or when I’m not wearing any. It does help my makeup look a little fresher, but I feel the skincare effect more when I use it directly on bare skin or over a simple routine. On heavy makeup days the results dont feel the same.

Overall, I’d say it’s a nice mist if your skin gets a tight, dry feeling during the day but you don’t want something sticky or heavy. Not a replacement for moisturizer, but good as an extra hydration/glow step.

Should I double cleanse every night or only when I wear sunscreen or makeup?

Some nights I use just a regular cleanser and I believe it is fine but others my face feels kinda heavy and oily, I don't know how else to explain it, so I clean with cold water and double cleanse with beplain cleansing oil (to melt everything and clean pores) and dermatologica powder cleanser (to exfoliate and remove anything the oil took out), but just the powder cleanser when I am too tired and just want to go to bed. Just trying to see if this is normal, too much, or just put in the effort and double cleanse every day. I go out of the house every day, in case that makes a difference

Saucy Review

I tried the mala sauce from vivid kitchen but though it would taste like spicy oil but it was actually better balanced than I expected. Still bold, still definitely has that mala personality, but not in a way that made every dish taste one-note. I liked it most with stir fried noodles and tofu, and it also worked weirdly well when I mixed a little into leftover 볶음밥. The real test will be if I get to use it again after the first fun trial meal Ig and if I can find regular recipes with it

[Routine Help] What can I add to my routine to get smoother, glowy skin?

This is pretty much the products I’ve been using lately, and I basically use them depending on how my skin feels that day. My skin is combination, and my biggest issue is congestion around my nose and forehead. I do not use all of these in one sitting.

fieldtrip Purifying Face Cleanser as my basic everyday cleanse
florence by mills Clean Magic Face Wash when I want a different cleanser option
YSE Morning Cocktail Vitamin C Serum as my morning treatment step
LAWLESS Set The Stage when I want an extra prep/hydrating layer before makeup
beplain Mung Bean Pore Clay Mask a few times a week when I feel more clogged

I know this probably needs a more consistent moisturizer, so I’m mostly wondering how the current product mix looks for combination/congestion-prone skin. What should I keep, cut, or add if the goal is smoother texture and more of a healthy glow?

Mushroom noodles

I saw one of those noodle videos with mushrooms, green onion, and that darker savory sauce and now I cannot stop thinking about it. It looked like the kind of thing that should be easy enough for a weeknight, but also like something that could go very wrong if the sauce balance is off. I have noodles, mushrooms, and an oyster sauce from vivid kitchen at home already, so now I’m debating whether this is a solid idea or just another video making everything look better than real life. Has anyone made something like this and had it actually turn out good?

What actually makes skin look plump?

I love how idols’ skin always has that soft, plump look where it looks hydrated and smooth but not greasy. I know a lot of it is lighting, makeup, skin prep, and probably treatments too, but I still want to get closer to that effect with skincare.

Lately I’ve been looking into products that focus more on light hydration instead of just using one thick cream. Things like hydrating toners, ampoules, and lighter creams seem to make more sense for that kind of finish. I’ve been considering a few options from brands like Torriden, Laneige, and re:nk, especially toner and cream combos that layer well without feeling heavy.

For anyone who likes that plump, fresh skin look, what products or routine steps made the biggest difference for you?

[Routine Help] What products layer best in a simple morning routine?

I have been trying to keep my morning routine really minimal because too many layers start feeling messy under sunscreen once the weather gets warmer. I am mostly looking at lightweight calming steps right now, things like watery essences, simple moisturizers, and sunscreens that do not pill. beplain has been on my radar, but so have a bunch of other Korean brands in that same easy daily category.

skin-like base makeup vs full foundation

I’ve been wearing different foundation products and saw how some foundations give a more polish finish, which I still like when I want more coverage or when I’m doing a full look like Estée Lauder Double Wear or NARS Light Reflecting feel more like proper foundation to me. They even things out more clearly, but I also notice them more on my skin throughout the day. Then there are lighter base products that still fully cover everything, but make the skin look smoother and fresher in a more natural way. I’ve been using the Age20’s essence pact for that kind of finish, and it feels more like an everyday base than a full foundation. It doesn’t give the same perfected look, but I like that my skin still looks like skin. This is also with the same skin texture and same skincare products, so it is just the difference of how the products sit on different skin types Ig. Personally I think I prefer full foundation for photos or nights out, but skin-like base makeup for real life/daytime. Any other foundation finish out there?

Simple routine question

Trying to keep things minimal lately and this is what I’ve been doing most days: Round Lab cleanser, then the re:nk cooling ceram cream, and CNP sunscreen in the morning. I am a bit sensitive on how the products let the skin feeling during the day so I try to use as less products as possible without neglecting the skin. This routine doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, which is why I keep going back to it instead of layering more steps but I do feel I need something for my pores. Not sure what can I add and in which step, I think it would also be better for night time

How do you cook on big batches?

As a beginner of meal prepping I am struggling with how to cook around 10 chicken breasts with just one pan. Sometimes it ends up burning a bit because of the seasoning and then I have to stop completely to wash the pan and dry it before cooking the next 2~3 pieces that fit on my pan. I am struggling with the portion sizes and havingn to cook what feels for 5 people Is there an easier way to do this?

Does anyone else get more clogged around the chin?

Every year around this time my skin starts acting different and start feeling rougher and more congested with a lot of white kinda dots showing, even though the rest of my face does not feel especially oily. I sometimes shave with those little razors but I think that makes it worst. I am trying not to overdo it anymore and I am looking for a routine for a deep cleansing result. Right now I's already using the oil cleanser from beplain which is working great, but I need a good second cleanser and maybe one of those masks that get everything from the pores. What else can I include in my routine?

Non invasive but noticeable facial treatments

I want to get some treatments done while on a trip to Korea this summer but I am not sure what to ask for, and I feel like asking at any clinic directly they will just try to sell me on things I might not really need. I want to improve my skin texture and skin firmness overall (I am in my early 30s), and I do have some redness on my cheeks. I do not want to get any botox or fillers or something similar as of now but I would like to see a change on my face. Not sure where to look for references

All day foundations

I’ve been trying to compare foundations that work well for a normal full-day makeup look, not necessarily full glam. So far I’ve been going between Jung Saem Mool and Age20’s. Jung Saem Mool gives me more of that polished, makeup-artist base look, which I really like when I want my makeup to look a bit more perfected. Age20’s has been nice for softer everyday makeup because the finish looks fresh and smooth without making the base stand out too much. I’m still testing which one holds up better after several hours, but both have been good in different ways. Would it make more sense to set a glowy foundation only in certain areas, or does that usually make the wear time uneven?

Good beef and broccoli at home recipie

Every time I see a good beef and broccoli video I start convincing myself this has to be one of the easier takeout dishes to make at home. Then I remember that half the time easy online means twelve ingredients, a special pan, and somebody moving faster than I ever will. I do have most of the usual stuff already, including soy sauce, garlic, and an oyster sauce from vivid kitchen, so I’m tempted. Is this actually beginner friendly, or is it one of those dishes that looks easy on video and somehow never hits the same at home?

I love how the bubbling sauce looks t.t and the tofu and rice at the end, it all looks ridiculous in the best way. I have a mala sauce from vivid kitchen at home already, so now I’m wondering if this is actually realistic to make on a normal weekday or if it only looks easy because the videos are 12 seconds long. Has anyone here tried making something like this at home? Can I make a non spicy version?

I always think I can keep the same cleanser year round, then spring hits and my skin starts reacting differently. In winter I can handle creamier formulas, but once the weather shifts I want something that feels fresh without leaving my face stripped. I have been going back and forth between beplain foam and dermalogica powder. Do I need to rotate cleansers?
