Financial Aid Disappeared (Update?)

A week ago I posted that on Aug 1 my aid disappeared which I went to financial aid and they said to put Lone Star College Systems rather than the specific location which worked BUT now Im receiving aid for spring and summer of 2027 (when I originally had it for fall 2026 and spring 2027)

Advisor told me I had to enroll and pay for lasses which which let the system work and they'll reimburse me Wanted to know if anyone has experienced this and if I should follow through and pay these dumb classes (in payments)? I opted out of the STAR bundle and it's still charging me so idk how long i should wait since there will be fees and I will get dropped again since it's passed the deadline smh.

Dropped While I have Financial Aid (rant)

Just got an email saying i was dropped from all my classes since I didn't pay but I do have financial aid. Going to go this monday in the morning to get this sorted but I'm annoyed because well I had nothing to worry about regarding my classes. I also have a new advisor and he barely has appointments.

Teenage Vs Adult Years I don’t know

didn’t think I would find a Reddit where I can post about me feeling lonely and inexperienced

so im turning 24 soon (im a g*rl), never dated but I did have a crush on someone back when I was 17 and it stuck with me. I call it a situationship but basically it was me having a crush on a friend and I confessed and he said he knew I had a crush on him the whole time but told me he sees me as a friend (despite us talking and hanging out 24/7)

it took years for me to move on and again as I’m turning 24 I still think about it but I don’t get sad anymore

now tell me why I haven’t liked anyone else and such, I do get experiencing life as an adult is different and I feel like I’m such a loser compared to everyone else. I can’t do shit and I started going back to school and trying to better myself but overall I’m useless

I’m aware there’s no point jf dating if I don’t have my life together but idk I wish I was normal about it but then again there are weird people so it’s good I’m not putting myself in weird situations

I just wish life went smoother and I wasn’t so aware of everything. I know the problems but I’m too messed up in my head and dissociated (that’s another topic) to do anything about it

Majors within Film/Comms

hi guys so next year i will be applying to universities to study film/communications but wanted to know which options were the best when it came to majoring and minor in

I know it’s not necessary to major in film so I was thinking to minor in it and major in advertising or public relations

I love to film and am starting my own projects but I’m aware for stability it’s not the best major, I do also like to plan things out and promote content/events so that’s where advertising and pr comes from

what are your guys’ takes/advice?

Interview on 6/2

Hey guys I applied to dutch bros this past Sunday and scheduled an interview for this tuesday!

I wanted to know if I should mention to them about going back to school this aug? I know a lot of jobs hate hearing that since they want open availability but I am willing to work after my classes (preferably close)

Im a bit nervous but overall excited since I've been going to dutch bros since they opened in my area in since 2022!! I am a talkative person so I do hope I get hired

I had an interview for starbucks a few months ago for a new location and even though I was vibing with the hiring manager I didn't get it so I hope dutch bros gives me a chance

Advertising Major Chance as a Transfer Student

I swear I posted my stats over and over for rtf, or and now I’m considering advertising for fall ‘27

I’m in a CC in Houston and I feel like I dont have a lot of experience compared to other people so i would like to get a second opinion

GPA: 3.3 (I do plan to raise it to at least a 3.4/23.5)

I run an event organization for the last4 years where I do social media marketing, we’ve had articles written about us and collaborated with the county’s precinct 4 to get people to register to vote as well as partnered with a local music festival to promote them

i have been volunteering at my school’s theatre group for their shows

plan on being the president at our G.S.A club

any advice is appreciated and between rtf, or, and advertising, whuch would I be MORE LIKELY be admitted to (rtf is my passion but I feel like I’m also good at communications especially advertising)

Thoughts on Majors: RTF vs Comms

This is just me going on a rant (feel free to leave advice)

So im at a cc right now and plan to apply for fall 27. First choice is RTF and second would be communications I just don't know which concentration specifically. For reference I love hosting kpop events which involves social media marketing. I like the bts of events where I get to plan such as booking, decorating, informing people etc.

I guess my worry is my stats (gpa). Im currently at a 3.2 and I want to raise it to a 3.4-3.5 this upcoming school year (the fall semester)

Film and Media Studies

Hi guys, Im in community college wanting to transfer to UT for their RTF BUT I'm also looking into UTSA and their film and media studies program and wanted to know what it's like?

Few questions

- Can you pick eventually pick a concentration ?

- Is it more studies than hands on stuff (yes I see the word studies)

- Is the program growing

- How are the opportunities/resources? (internships, projects, post graduating)
