Help Me Remember The Name

Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me track down a roaster I bought a bag from at the Bristol Coffee Festival a couple of years back. My memory's a bit hazy, but here is what I remember:

- Pretty sure they are Cornwall or Falmouth based, though there is a small chance my brain is tricking me and it is Wales.

- They have a big black and white theme on their site and packaging.

- Lots of ship and sailing imagery, but also donkeys or pack animals on their site or bags.

- I think the main logo was a ship.

Does this ring any bells for anyone? Also, could this just be Yallah in Falmouth? Did they rebrand or run a specific series like this recently, or am I mashing two different places together in my head?

Springbank Air Ambulance

Tried waiting for Gloucestershire Live to drop an article, but haven't seen anything yet.

Yesterday near Springbank Park there were around 5 ambulances, a Great Western Air Ambulance landing nearby, and a massive police presence with a house cordoned off.

Does anyone know what went down, or if everyone involved is okay?

Am I the problem?

I simultaneously complain about too much UB yet I buy them, and build around it.

Anyway, here are my commanders. Rate away.

Local Merch

Other than Ritual Coffee and Deya, which I know of, are there any local independent companies selling merch designed in Cheltenham?

Hoodies and T-shirts etc.

Cameron Thomas (MP) is AWOL

I’ve sent several polite emails to Cameron Thomas MP over the past few months, regarding concerns around west Cheltenham development, civil liberties and the climate crisis, but I've had complete radio silence not even an automated acknowledgment.

Has anyone actually managed to get a response from his office recently? If so, did a particular contact method work for you?

How do political philosophers account for the scale of the nation-state, why is the boundary drawn there?

Nationalism asserts that a distinct "nation" (defined by shared culture, language, history, or ethnicity) has a legitimate claim to self-determination and sovereign statehood. However, the choice of where to draw that boundary often seems conceptually arbitrary. A nationalist claims that solidarity and civic obligation should stop at a specific border, but:

Why not smaller? Why doesn't the boundary shrink further into distinct regional, city-state, or local identities (hyper-localism/sub-nationalism)?

Why not larger? Why doesn't the boundary expand into broader linguistic, civilizational, or continental identities (e.g., Pan-Slavism, Pan-Africanism) or universal human solidarity (cosmopolitanism)?

How does nationalist theory address the "boundary problem"—the charge that any given national boundary is morally or historically arbitrary rather than naturally principled?

Are there compelling philosophical arguments for why the standard nation-state is considered the "optimal" size for political obligation and cohesion?

Was the Kitkat Ice-cream real or did I imagine it?

In the early 2000s, I came over to England to visit my nan (I didn’t live in the UK at the time). During the trip, she bought me a KitKat ice cream from Woolworths.

From memory, it tasted pretty much exactly like a frozen KitKat bar, and it was fxking incredible. However, since moving to the UK permanently, I’ve not been able to find it anywhere, and I’m starting to doubt its existence entirely. Couldn’t see anything on Google either.

Was this a legit product back in the day, or did my nan literally just chuck a standard 4-finger KitKat into the ice cream drawer and hand it to me?

Biggest Changes In The Last 15 Years?

I am a Brit who did a placement year in Indianapolis about 15 years ago. After all this time I am due to visit again in November and I am very excited.

This got me wondering what are some of the biggest changes I should expect between now and then? Anything new that’s an absolute must do/see?

Sword Brethren can’t connect

I’m fairly new to 40k, currently about 10 games of 1k. I’m having a recurring issue getting my Sword Brethren where they need to be.

My current strategy is running them in an Impulsor, with Marshall and Castellan, with the Shield Dome. With the aim of try to stage turn 1 to charge turn 2. I move it up the board, but they seem to get focused down and wiped out before they can ever actually connect in melee.

Are there better ways to deliver them safely, or am I missing something fundamental about the positioning/threat management here?

I was thinking I might try to use the deep strike enhancement in Vindication Task Force to keep them safe for a turn.

Ads Disapproved: "Restricted Drug Terms" & "Destination Not Accessible"

I’m currently hitting a wall with Google Ads and could really use some insight from those who have dealt with similar "false positive" rejections. My ads are getting flagged for two specific reasons, and I’m struggling to get a human to review the context.

  1. "Restricted Drug Terms" Flag

My landing page content is clean and doesn't contain any restricted medical or drug terminology. However, I’ve discovered that some drug names are present in the page source code (these are used for internal banner placement logic - ie urla of other pages in my site).

  1. Destination Not Accessible"

Google claims my site is inaccessible from the US (I advertise in the UK). I’ve verified that my Cloudflare settings are configured to allow Googlebot globally, and I'm not seeing any blocks in my logs. Is it possible it’s the US based support agents/ compliance team that are being blocked rather than actual bots.

Any tips on how to structure the appeal to actually get a support rep to look at the technical details rather than sending back an automated rejection would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advances

Any artisanal shops in Cheltenham?

I’ve recently had a really positive shopping experience buying knives in a specialist shop which sells only knives. The shopkeeper was extremely knowledgeable, to the point where it was a genuine pleasure asking questions and finding out stuff as part of the purchase.

Also had a really positive experience at Tivoli Wines chatting about the wines to the lady who gave me some really good advice and information on how to find a Georgian orange wine.

Got me wandering, if there are any shop in Cheltenham where the owners are a pleasure to talk to and know their shit about the products they sell?

Regulated Sector Ad Rank Challenge

Anyone working in UK healthcare or other highly regulated industries have advice on improving Ad Rank?

We're advertising prescription-only medications, so there are significant restrictions around ad copy so no urgency, emotional appeals, testimonials, or many of the usual CTR-driving tactics. We also can’t match keywords to headlines or even have them on the landing page.

It feels like a lot of the traditional levers for improving expected Quality Score aren't available. For those working in regulated sectors, what has had the biggest impact on Ad Rank for you?
