Serious work question: I've become a human API between Slack and Claude. Can I automate myself out of the loop?

I work in ops at a tech company.

We're on a Claude enterprise plan with MCPs connected to pretty much everything: Slack, our data warehouse, the internal knowledge base, call recordings, Google Workspace, and a few internal tools.

Every request I get comes in through Slack or on a call, and the calls are recorded and transcribed. Nobody here uses email.

Most of my job has turned into this: read a request, turn it into a prompt, check what Claude did, send it back (it also includes cross-functional coordination, but still this often happens on Slack only).

I was thinking about building a permanent agent that runs all the time, watches Slack and the call transcripts, proactively picks out anything that's a task for me, and drafts the prompt in CC. I approve or tweak it, and it runs.

I would still stay on top of everything, but I'd have my agent quickly and autonomously get my tasks and gets the right prompt / data pulls from the right sources and share the output

It's a serious question: has anyone built something similar? any suggestion on best ways to do that?

Pod 6 Solo: do the straps actually keep it in place?

Thinking about getting the Pod 6 Solo, but I'm unsure about comfort.

It uses straps instead of fully wrapping the mattress like a fitted cover.

For anyone who's used the Solo or a similar strapped topper: is it comfortable, does it shift or bunch up during the night, and can you feel the edge or the straps?

Anyone using an EU Double (135x190) cover on a 120x190 mattress?

My mattress is 120x190. Eight Sleep doesn't make that width in Europe, so the closest is the EU Double, which is 15 cm wider.

Anyone done this? Did the extra fabric cause water flow errors, weaker cooling or bad sleep tracking?

Any other general suggestions on using slightly larger covers than the mattress?

Which are the core principles for science-based lifting?

Hi r/exercisescience. I've read enough conflicting takes to be suspicious of all of them.

I'm trying to filter down to the stuff where the well-designed studies line up.

What are the core set of principles where the research isn't in dispute anymore?

Any quality walking pads without the front console? Sperax format

Looking for a short, lightweight Sperax alternative.

Wondering if there are any quality models with no front console, so they're shorter, smaller and lighter than average.

Dr. Bekir Bek - How good is he with temple work?

Long time lurker and saw a lot of Dr.Bekir Bek great works involving harline, mid/front scalp etc.

Didn't see as many cases for temples, so was looking for some personal experiences of people who did temples as well.

Any personal feedback would be really appreciated!

Google API Calls Hitting Quota (Docs), any workaround?

For my current job, they asked me to build an automation related to post-sales support.

It retrieves information from several tools the company uses, then fills out a Google Doc for each client. Each doc is quite long, made up of 11 sections.

On top of that, every time the agent runs, there are a lot of sales projects (70+) it needs to run for.

What’s currently happening is that the agent stops because it hits the Google API quota, since multiple requests hit the API at the same time (exceeding the per-user/per-minute quota).

The current structure: an orchestrator retrieves all the information, plus a few sub-agents, each handling a batch of three sales projects. I’ve tried reducing both the number of projects per batch and the number of concurrent sub-agents running.

I also changed the Markdown files for each section, trying to complete a full MD file first and then batch-write the Google Doc in a single API call.

Any suggestions or rules of thumb for automating the writing of multiple long Google Docs at the same time?

Why there are a million seamless dictation apps, but Claude's dictation is still embarassing?

It literally makes no sense.

Especially for a company that ships that fast, it would be a super quick win to just improve the dictation and impact millions of free and premium users.

Honest question: why replace Arc instead of just adding AI to it?

Asking as a completely non technical person.

Arc had plenty of useful features. Dia lacks several of them despite adding AI.

Keeping Arc's foundation and building AI on top feels like the obvious choice to me.

What am I missing?

Planning to buy the mini kit (Roaming), cancelling and reactivating the subscription as I just need it 1 month per year. Any suggestions?

Basically the title.

I will need it for 1 month per year during the summer, and I was planning to cancel and reactivate the sub every time (without paying the monthly stand-by fee).

I know that I’d theoretically risk to have issues in reactivating it when I need it, but was looking for any advice, dos and donts from longer time customers with similar needs .

Dr. Bekir Bek not offering any post-op care. Should I be concerned?

I have a hair transplant booked with Dr. Bekir Bek.

Before deciding, I was also considering Dr. Patty, who offers up to 14 days of post-op care at the clinic. That gave me a lot of peace of mind.

Dr. Bek doesn’t offer anything like that, and honestly it makes me a bit nervous.

For those who went with Dr. Bek: how did you manage the post-op days? Any tips for recovery on your own?

For everyone else: any best practices to share on how to deal with the recovery?

Any reassurance (or real talk) would help a lot right now.

Dictation doesn't support whispering (WisprFlow does)

One thing I miss from Wispr Flow: Whisper Mode.

You could dictate at a very low volume and it would still pick you up accurately. That made it usable in open offices without drawing attention.

Raycast dictation requires normal speech, which isn't always an option around colleagues.

Anyone else missing this feature? Pls Raycast team fix this, I really want to ditch WisprFlow!

Moving to London in my early 30s: best trade-off for someone who wants culture and nightlife but is past the carnage phase?

Relocating to London, working near King's Cross. Looking for a flatshare somewhere with actual life to it. Music, food, art, things going on day and night.

I'm 32. I still want to go out and feel like I'm somewhere interesting, but I'd like the average neighbour to be a person with a job and a sleep schedule, not a fresher on their third Jagerbomb.
