2 milestones in back to back days!

Met 2 goals back to back days.

Jan 3 2026 I weighted 351 lbs and took my 1st shot of 2.5, did 24 shots of 2.5 then started 5mg last week on July 3 2026 I officially lost 50lbs. On July 4 2026 I weighted and I was at 299lbs. I truly don't know the last time I weighted below 300 lbs, in the last 20 years. 49 more to go to my goal.

I believe I believe I would met those goals at first of June had it not been for having to skip 2 weeks of shots on a month and half period due to a cardioversion and an ablation.

Made to my 1st Goal!

6 month to the day I made it to 50lbs down. Was on 2.5 24 shots and lost 49lbs, moved to 5mg this week and I've lost 1 pound so far, I am hoping I'll drop another one tomorrow so I can keep my 2lb average a week going.

Probably would have lost it sooner if I would have tracked anything I ate. I never did, just ate till full and was mindful of what I was eating. Stopped eating anything after 8pm and didn’t have breakfast till 9 or so next morning.

Also working against me was a cardioversion and a ablation 3 weeks apart for AFIB in my heart. I weighted the morning of my ablation and I weighted 305, when I got home from the procedure I weighted 312, 7 pounds of fluids they pumped into me. Pretty much the same thing when I had my cardioversion. So I had to lose an additional 14 lbs of fluid in the past month and half.

But 351 to 301 I will take it. Next goal is closer, 299. I haven't been below 300 in close to 20 years (50 now). Then one more goal to reach, 250lbs.

What would you do?

Playing Duos last night down to final 10. Solo hitting a shockwave so we take off, I find them on the beach, they drop everything they had. I deleted them, I felt bad for a minute.

So what would you have done, do you delete them or not that late into the game?

I will have to say I was pissed off due to some fool deleting me while I was fishing in the game before.

1st 5mg shot today

After 24 shots and 50 lbs on 2.5mg, I am finally made the move to 5mg this morning. It was time for the move, fingers crossed side effects don't come knocking.

  1. Thunder Bolt 30w RF laser $6200

  1. Haotain RF-460 40w RF laser. $4500

Anyone that would like to chime in?

Thanks in advance.

15" or 17" 40v string trimmer

Is the 17" 40v string trimmer worth $80 more bucks? 15" is $159 and the 17" is $239.

Looking to purchase my 1st battery powered string, I really don't have whole lot to trim. Around back porch, vinyl privacy fence, garage and a few rocks in the back yard.

Deconstructed a single use pen

Out of curiosity I tore apart an empty pen this morning. Really did it to see if there was anyway to extract the medication out of it with out trying to line up to the needle inside the pen.

It came apart very easily when I pulled the push button part up and twisted a little with a pair of pliers. Inside you see a spring, glass tube with green plunger. The white disc holds the plunger inside the tube. It slides right off and then I just pulled the plunger out. At the bottom of the tube you can see the gray plug, that would be the only issue I see getting out. Not sure how far up the tube it sits and how one would go about pulling it out to get to the liquid. You might be able to put a needle through the gray plug to extract the medication.

Edited because I bent the needle on my pen smashing the gray cap back in.

Anyway thought someone might find it interesting.

AFib/Ablation Update – Last 24 Hours

This was written by my AI, I've been keeping track of my ablation on it.

Day 8 post ablation

It's been a bit of a roller coaster over the last 24 hours.

For 12 hours Wednesday I was Tachycardia with a heart rate of 140-150 constantly. Thursday evening, my heart rate stayed around 120 bpm, so I decided to go to the ER. While there, my heart rate eventually peaked at 195 bpm. The ER team treated me with IV Diltiazem and then kept me on a Diltiazem drip overnight while I was admitted to the hospital.

This morning around 8:00 AM, they stopped the drip and transitioned me to oral medications. My current medication plan is:

Diltiazem ER 240 mg once daily

Amiodarone 200 mg twice daily

Atenolol

Multaq has been discontinued

Lisinopril was stopped because my blood pressure remained stable, averaging around 115/60 throughout my stay

The good news is that I'm back in sinus rhythm, although I still have some supraventricular ectopy (SVE).

My next step is to call my electrophysiologist's nurse on Monday. If I remain in sinus rhythm, we'll continue monitoring. If I go back into AFib, the plan is to schedule a cardioversion sometime next week.

For now, I'm back home resting and taking things one day at a time. The last week since my ablation hasn't gone exactly as planned, but I'm thankful to be back in sinus rhythm and under the care of a great medical team.

It's been a journey and I hope I am on the other side of this thing, fingers crossed.

5 days post ablation, things are changing.

I've called the EP nurse, still no word.

I went from normal rhythm with PVC and SVE to afib on day 4, woke up still in afib this morning and now my Kardio reads Tachycardia heart from 130-145 each time I've checked on Kardio.

Do I need to be worried, what is going on. I know none of you are doctors, but each one has dealt with this and I don't know what to do etc.

Just looking for guidance. I'm nit short of breath, faint, dizzy. Do have a little chest pain every now and then, but nothing major.

Thanks

UPDATE:

I sent my last Kardio reading to one of their doctors to get some information from someone at least. Still waiting for my EP's nurse to call me back.

Below is the information they sent back to me. Apparently I am in sinus tachycardia with an elevated HR.

The rhythm is normal, originating from the native pacemaker of the heart (the sinoatrial node). The rate is faster

than normal (140 actual; 100-150 is the usual range for sinus tachycardia). The context of the rhythm may need

to be taken. If you have no symptoms, this may not require further workup. If you have symptoms or are

otherwise concerned, please discuss this tracing with your treating physician.

Back in Afib 4 days after ablation

Talk me off the ledge please. Day 4 post ablation, felt great till this evening. Last time I checked my Kardio was 1pm CT.

Walking to the bathroom about 8:30 this evening figured I'd take another reading, and there it was Afib 165 bpm. I thought now way possible, took it again, same reading.

Since getting home from my ablation I've been on sinus rhythm with either SVE or PVC. No worries, and now here were are again.

I know there is the blanking period, but how long do I let this go before I contact my EP?.

I'm on Eliquis and Atenolol, right or wrong I popped a Flecainide that my cardiologist put me back on for a few days back in April to see if it would convert me back or not.

Hopefully this one fixes the issue, pretty sure I panicked and took it.

My BP is 155/90.

Thanks for the advice.

#2 AMS

I am trying to print a 4 color design. Slot 2 is the starting color on my AMS, when I click print it loads the color and poops the color just fine. As the printer goes into it starting sequence I get an error about filament stuck in extruder. I hit resolved and it poops out the color again, then when it starts the printing process it get the same error. I've cut a ton of the color off the spool, I've taken the extruder apart numerous times and there is nothing in there.

What is the issue?

1st ablation tomorrow

Just wondering what to expect during the procedure, after the procedure and the days, weeks and months to follow.

If it makes any difference I am asymptomatic. Its been a pretty easy 4 years since diagnosed, just found out I was back in Afib when I visited my Cardio 1st of April. Had a CV couple weeks later that lasted 30 minutes, so I was sent to an EP. He scheduled the ablation.

Thanks for the information.

Diode work for me?

I have a 60 watt Co2 laser, but I purchased a uv printer and I want to do print and cut. But my 60 watt just won't do it correctly. I'm looking at the xtool 40 watt to perform the print and cut using Lightburn. Anyone successfully used an Xtool with lightburn to print an cut? Thanks

Rebuilding my Co2

I have an old Chinese red and black 60 watt laser. I also just bought a UV Printer in hopes I could take advantage of the print and cut feature on Lightburn. Try as I may it just won't work, it doesn't cut the correctly. I'm sure some of it has to do with the fact I can't pin point the exact location on my targets before I cut.

My question realistically can I rebuild my laser, new rails, belts, motors etc?. What else would I need? Is it possible for someone who has limited mechanical knowledge?. What would it cost, are there better parts that I should?

Thanks.

I have a month and half of single use 2.5 MJ pens in the fridge, and I am due to move up to 5mg. I've been on 2.5 18 weeks and have lost 40lbs. Insurance is making me move up to 5mg. I was thinking since I have these extra 2.5 can I split dose them during the week, mainly to ease into 5mg so that my body can get use to it instead of jumping to 5. Hoping it will be an easy transition.

I am thinking I will do one shot on Saturday and another on Wednesday until I run out of the 2.5 pens. I looked on fat science and it doesn't have any recommendations for single use pens that I could find.

Thanks.

I mainly bought this machine to do hat patches. I am unable to do print and cut, so I have been cut the patches and trying to print on them. I can never get the artwork to fix correctly onto the patches. I've laid down countless outlines for placement and nothing has help.

I ran a keyboard over the weekend and the bottom 1/8 in was missed. On the software it was completely covered.

Anyone else having issues, I am thinking I might reach out to Eufy for a solution.

Diagnosed with Afib in May of 21, Flec got it under control then was taken off Flec. I have silent Afib, so I never thought much about it, but as far as I know it was controlled, every PCP visit was good, every yearly I had with my Cardio was good until April of this year. I was put back on Flec for a week to see if it would convert, it didn't. Was scheduled for my first ever CV, shocked me twice and stayed in rhythm for 30 mins.

Referred to an EP and met with him yesterday, i asked if I could try another medication to see if it would convert me and stay. He said that was just prolonging the situation and I needed to just go a head and have an ablation. He said at if you were 80 years old we'd try the medication, but since I was 50 it was best to fix it now.

I unhappily scheduled my ablation to be done a month out. Wasn't happy to hear they would put me on a vent either due to my sleep apnea, but it is what it is as this point. Fingers crossed this will fix me for a while.
