Gday I’m looking at buying an 80 series as my first car and am debating whether to go with a petrol or a diesel? I will be getting an automatic one as well. What is the litres per100? Is it a good buy or am I better off getting a diesel? I will be using as a camping vehicle and as a daily. I will puf a rtt on as well . Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi guys I’m looking at buying my first car soon and I’m looking at a wagon and I’m considering an 80 series land cruiser with a diesel engine. Is it a good idea as a first car? I have 30 K saved, What are the pros and cons of it, I will be getting auto however I do not mind if it isn’t a great auto and I don’t need it to be fast. I don’t mind if it’s slow. My budget is just over 25K can go to 30 K if need be for the right one. My current two options that I am looking at a 2012 to 2015 n70 Hilux diesel. Second option is A GU patrol diesel, which one should I go for and why?
PS, it’ll be an auto and I will also be putting a rooftop tent on as well and a camping set up in the back
